For anyone who needs a recommendation. King of Painters!!! We live in a log home outside of Julian that has never been finished the way it should until now. The quality work, people, and professionalism are as outstanding as their final product.

Team Henry , Marco & Gustav, Your team does beautiful work. Thank you for taking pride and restoring my father‘s special home. This team worked efficiently and, were also methodical and thorough. They showed up on time and were polite and respectful. They kept the area neat and safe and accessible at the end of each day. They checked in with me regularly to give progress updates. This is my second experience with King Of Painters and I would highly recommend them without hesitation. Their prices are also competitive so the value for their work is high. The work was outstanding. This company does whatever it takes to satisfy the customer. They were worth every penny spent. They got us on their schedule quickly and finished the job very fast. This is the company you want for your painting needs they are professional and stand by their work. I do not normally leave reviews but these guys deserve it. I would/will use this company again.

While house-sitting at a friends house that was just re-painted, I couldn’t help but look at the painting work that had just been done. The level of detail was incredible. The edges were sharp, crisp and straight. I was very impressed. She ended up giving me the number of Bob (The King of the Painters) Lyon. Bob came out and looked over my house. There was a lot of termite damage, the side garage door needed to be replaced and dry rot was prevalent throughout. Fascia, eaves and large beams were in bad shape. All had peeling paint. Bob has an amazing eye for colors. We settled on the color scheme and Bob even picked out the fabric we chose for the awning we had installed out front. After settling on a price (which was VERY reasonable) we set up the date for work to begin. On the day the crew arrived, the project manager (Mike) introduced me to his crew. Dennis Iloff, Jr. Lopez, Alvin Hernandez and last (but certainly not least) Ricardo “Rickey” Duenas. While Mike was tending to other jobs, Ricardo was my point man. He asked all the right questions, always informed me of what the tasks of the day were going to be and answered all my questions with a smile. This crew was thorough and they all seemed to be having fun while working very hard. I couldn’t be happier with the finished product. Bob Lyon is probably the nicest guy you’ll ever meet and his employees show it too. Give them a try. You will NOT be disappointed.

We contracted King of the Painters to paint the exterior of our home in Clairemont after reading customer reviews about their services. We met with the companies owners who were very helpful in helping us select a new house paint color scheme. The workers were on time and cleaned up the work site each afternoon. We had a few issues with the job and called them to report the issues and they were very quick to come out to correct the discrepancies. We would recommend using them to anyone.

I can't say enough about them. They are an outstanding outfit. They do a ten year warranty on their work. I have an area of peeling of the wood, and they are going to take care of it. Some sun damaged. Its old wood.

There was no charge for the estimate. The experience was very good. They set up appointments and came when they were supposed to. They spent at least an hour doing their estimate. They were on time and if was going to be late then they called. If I was to do another paint job, I would call them for an estimate. I had a wide range with prices and I choose another company due to pricing. I did choose the company with the lesser price. The estimates that I received all seemed to be providing about the same service, so I decided to go with the cheaper one. The one that I choose to go with was about $3000 less than the others.

So far they did very good. We got three different bids and they were very close. Depending on how well they do we will use them again. We had looked at other people who recommended them, and If they do as well as those people had decided we will certainly use them again.

We had two or three estimates from different companies. At the time other issues came up and we decided to postpone painting the house. The estimate was free. The quality of the estimate and the detail into which they looked at the house as we walked around it and looked at it to really make sure they understood what would be necessary in preparation and repair, I think was quite detailed and I thought it was excellent. They were on time and kept their word of that appointment. They didn't walk up, look at it and give me an estimate. They actually walked around and told me verbally before they wrote up the estimate all of the issues that they thought needed to be addressed and the ones they thought did not, and how they could be addressed and what our different options were. Then they prepared an estimate for us. I don't remember it clearly but I think it was 2 or 3 variations on a theme depending to what detail we wanted them to do certain kinds of repair work during preparation. I thought it was completely professional and believable estimate. It was a very good experience. I remember that we did not rule out any of the estimates based on price. All the prices we were given seemed appropriate and in line with the detailed level of work that was to be performed. They would certainly be on our list if we decided to go back after it and actually get the house painting this year. we would certainly consider them. I don't know that I would ask them to come and give us an estimate or not, but they are absolutely on the acceptable list.

I would recommend them to friends. They are good with clean up and work fast. They were done in just a few days. I would use them again if needed.

We were impressed right from the beginning when we met the owner, Joey to discuss our needs and get a quote. Fantastic response to questions/concerns all during the project. Very punctual and courteous crew with attention to detail and clean-up each day. If you're looking for a painting company who is thorough and detail-oriented, plus listens and responds to your requests, then King of the Painters is who we would highly recommend. Well worth the cost for a professional job and superior service. Our home looks better than it did new!

We were very pleased with the expertise and service from King of Painters. Joey has an excellent eye for detail and his recommendations on colors and finishing detail was exceptional. They pay attention to detail and the entire project went so smoothly. We are very pleased with the new look and quality of work that went in to our home. They arrived early every morning. Prepared to work. Everything was left like they found it. We added a couple extras, they were handled quickly and kept the job moving. Todd and his crew were very polite and worked very hard, even though the weather was very hot. We would definitely recommend King of the Painters!

This is not just a painting company, it's more of a painting consultant specialist. Joey came out and consulted us on what to do and what not to do. He was so informative and made paint selection go so smoothly. Its always scary choosing colors but he and his crew made it so easy and comfortable for my wife and I. Would highly recommend using this company. You truly get what you pay for and when it comes to the finishing touches on your home you don't want to cut costs in this department. King of the Painters picked the right colors for me and they turned out great. The jobs were done on time and the clean up was exceptional. They haul away all the trash. Great Job!

It went great. I was so nervous about picking the right color since our house was white and we wanted a change. We gave him a sample color from a blue house that we had seen and liked. Joey matched the sample and gave us 3 additional similar colors to compare. Then we changed our mind and picked totally different colors including grey, tan, and yellow. Joey was so helpful and patient. He got the new samples and put them on the house. We finally decided to go with out original blue sample and gave him the go ahead. His company painted the house and fence and it looks great! The neighbors have given us several compliments on the new color of the house and fence.

While shopping for prices to get my home painted it seemed like I was surrounded by neighbors who were all getting their houses painted at the same time. After talking to the neighbors and seeing what they were all paying, roughly around $2,500, i noticed that the work was taking 3-4 days for a full exterior paint job with only two colors. I was recommended to King of the Painters through a family friend where he put me in direct contact with Joey Atkins. I told Joey exactly what I wanted done so he set up an appointment at my convenience to see how King of the Painters could help me. I wanted 5 different colors on my house to break up certain sections, joey came in and gave his professional advice on what colors he thought best suited each other and matched. When the appointment was over Joey had gave me a quote, helped me pick out colors with his color chart, explained his scope of work and finally set up a day to do the work. To my surprise King of the Painters got right on the work with in a few business days. After seeing how long it took other neighbors to get their houses painted I was expecting my job to take a little longer considering I was using 5 different colors, but this was not the case. King of the Painters started and completed my project in just two days with clean up and everything. Though the price was a couple hundred dollars higher I was completely satisfied with the extra money because I could see the difference between my home and the neighbors homes that were recently painted. King of the Painters crew showed up most respect to my family and our belongings. I would highly recommend this company to any one looking for a paint job done at a good price and a job done noticeably better then there competitors.

Our experience with Joey at king of the painters was amazing. He showed up and as we went through the home we asked for his opinion and he wasnt afraid to give us his professional advice that which we too really liked. They always do a good job. We have used them 4 or 5 times, never had any reason to complain.

Bob Lyon is a magician when it comes to color! He made a suggestion of colors that he thought would be good and explained why and what it would look like. We went with those colors and he was wrong! It wasn't good, it was OUTSTANDING!! And the work that his crew did was exceptional! They went over their work carefully making sure that every detail was covered! We have a huge vine on the wrought iron but they painted around it! It's been over a month now, but when I go outside, our house still takes my breath away! Thank you, Bob & Crew!

We are happy with all the work performed by King of the Painters. Everyone was professional and courteously interacted with us. Joey, James, Aarron, Jose, Isaac, Francisco, Tim , Kevin and his painting crew, Danielle and the other office staff members could not have been better. High quality work was performed by everyone. Eventhough they are a little higher, our money was well spent. Our home looks like new and we love the new open area.

King of the Painters showed up early and completed the job in 2 days. They did an outstanding job and I am very happy with it. The whole house was power washed and prepped, small cracks filled. They primed some of the stucco repairs that I did previous to the paint job and feathered the edges. When they paint, they spray and roll as they work their way around the house resulting in great coverage with no peek-a-boos. Adrian and his crew were great and a joy to have working at my house. I recently contracted with King of the Painters to repaint the interior of my condo, install crown molding, and provide some badly needed lighting solutions. They also removed the popcorn ceilings in two bedrooms. They were a delight to work with, from Bret, who did my estimate and color consult to the wonderful crew that did all the work. Bladi 's supervision made it all go smoothly and all of the very talented painters were delightful. Special thanks to Tim and his assistant who did all of the electrical and installations for the lighting. They were so efficient and Tim taught me a lot. I am more than pleased with the final outcome of the entire project. I feel like I have a whole new house! I would highly recommend this company to anyone who appreciates fine workmanship, excellent customer service, and one - stop shopping. I would use them again for sure!

Joey was very professional. Arrived on time and was very helpful but price was outrageous. A year ago I had bids and they all were under $2,000 and KOP bid was almost $4,500 with a 5% coupon discount. I've seen jobs they have done and they are very good but way too expensive.

1. I had read reviews of this company online and called to schedule someone to come and give me an estimate of the job. Joey, the Vice President of the company, came for this first visit. We went over in detail exactly what I wanted done while he took notes. I showed him a paint color my husband and I had thought would look good on the house. He gently countered with a suggestion for two other darker colors, which I thought were too dark. He said they would put several colors on the house so we could see what we liked and what we didn't like before they bought paint. Joey assured me that painting would not begin until I was sure what colors I wanted. He said I would get an estimate via email and 2 days later I got that estimate. I called the office and scheduled for a tentative start date. The scheduling of the job was the only slightly confusing part of the project for me. But I will say that the women in the office are superb and helped me out in this regard. Their customer service skills are way above par in my experience. 2. The first day of the project the house and fence were power-washed, all cracks filled and sealed (they even replaced missing concrete in the chimney), re-stuccoed the bottom 5 inches around the entire house which had been damaged by water, re-succoed trim around the 2 rear french doors. 3. The morning they were to begin painting, sample colors were painted on sections of stucco and trim of the house so I could see what I liked and didn't like. One of the colors Joey suggested for the stucco was beautiful. I would have never selected that color from the color chart but it looked amazing on the house. I did not like the darker color for trim around the windows but agreed it would be a good color for the facia and gutters. One of the painters suggested that the trim around the windows and doors could be a darker version of the stucco color which is what we ended up doing. Looks great to us. 4. The workers always arrived ahead of scheduled and quietly congregated in the street until it was 7:00 a.m. They worked quickly and quietly for the entire 4 days. They were professional, skilled and friendly. They consulted with me on details of what color I wanted various things painted. At the end of every day (3:00-3:30 p.m.) they would clean up all around the house before they left and notify me when they were leaving. A supervisor came each morning and at the end of each day to review with the workers and me the status of the job and if I had any issues or questions. 5. The job was finished at 2:30 p.m. on day 4. The workers walked me around the job and asked if everything was o.k. They left me a can of paint for each color and clearly noted what that paint color was used for, i.g. trim, facia, stucco, iron gates, garage. 6. James came on the final day to inspect the job and ask if I was o.k. with everything. He said I could call Kevin at the office to finalize payment. I was more than impressed with this company and all of their employees. It was truly a stress-free experience. Being an older person raised in the midwest in a family of professional contractors this was like going home and experiencing true, old-fashioned customer service. My husband and I are thrilled with the results and feel King of the Painters took our house to HGTV style curb appeal. Thank you for your wonderful work.
