Description of Work: My water heater went out on a Sunday. I called Joshua and he came out early the next morning, assessed what I needed, which was a new water heater, purchased one, and installed it. He also explained to me that you can get more longevity with a water heater if you drain it once a year. No one had ever told me that before. I would recommend him to friends. He came on time and took care of my problem quickly and for a good price. I also had him repair some sprinklers that weren't functioning properly.

Description of Work: Joshua came out and performed work on two different days. 5/30/13 and came back for second job on 6/4. The first job was a repipe under our kitchen sink. It was quite involved and required crawling under the house and creating a new clean out. He installed a kitchen faucet with new turn offs. The second job was a repipe of our water main shutoff which was attached to our front sprinklers and our hose bib. He redesigned it and moved it behind our front planter making it look very neat and more organized. He replaced our gate valves with ball valves and increased the pipe size to 1" therefore making it more efficient . On the same day that he worked on the main he also hydro jetted our kitchen line because it was probably clogged 50% or more. Repiping the main was more involved than he originally thought but he kept his price and gave me a package deal for doing both jobs. He explains everything thoroughly and maps everything out very clearly. I'm never disappointed in the work he performs! He does a great job, thanks Joshua!

Description of Work: We tried to replace a spigot on the outside of my townhouse. It was so difficult to remove that the pipe broke off on the inside of the wall. This was on a Sunday. I checked Angie's list and saw that Joshua had a great rating and positive comments. Even though others were closer, I liked what people wrote about his service. I waited until 0730 Monday morning to call. He answered the phone right away and said he had an appointment at 0900 and the next one at 2pm. If the morning appt didn't run late, he would come over and repair it so I wouldn't be without water another day. We had to turn it off, of course, due to the internal leak. Joshua called about 10:30 to say he could be here in 30 minutes. He arrived on time, summed up the problem and had it fixed in less than an hour. I was so happy to have water again that day and not have to wait until Tuesday. I would recommend Joshua to anyone with plumbing problems.

Description of Work: Once again Josh came through for us. We had a small repair to do on our dishwasher (install a new power cord) and Josh came out to fix it. As usual he was on time, neat, knowledgeable etc....if all contractors were like Josh they would have a much better reputation. I will only use Josh for my plumbing needs.

Description of Work: Joshua and his assistant had been out to my house a couple of times to inspect several concerns I had about my plumbing. He was on time and one of the times he came out he crawled under my house to inspect the plumbing further. He is a great listener and answered all the questions I had. So for part one of the work to be performed, I had a toilet replaced and a camera guy so we could look down the pipe while the toilet was removed to inspect the condition of the pipe.

Description of Work: Our shower wouldn't drain. Joshua came with his assistant and cleaned it within an hour. Not only did he clean out the drain, but he even cleaned my shower pan. I asked him about some other problems I had with my kitchen sink and he gave me fantastic advice that I plan to use.He was courteous and effecient and I'll definitely use him again.

Description of Work: This is the 3rd time this year that I have called in Joshua's Plumbing to solve a problem in my 'new' old house. He has been a great resource of information and problem-solving on each occasion. This time it was to replace our very old Water Heater. He explained why the heated water was running-out on us so fast, and how the mineral build-up causes water heaters to slow down over time. I appreciated the research he did for us - to find a model that would fit into a very old cabinet on our back porch - not an easy job! In addition, he configured a custom fit 'drainage pan' to place under the water heater, as the limited space he had to work with wouldn't take a standard size drain pan. Also, Joshua kept the job under the estimate that he had quoted to me earlier in the month. He was more than on time, and he has (as before on earlier jobs) always returned my calls; usually with 15 to 30 minutes. I can strongly recommend him and his work - and I will continue to use his services with any future plumbing challenges in this 'new' old house.

Description of Work: Bad news our upstairs shower overflowed our kitchen sink! Desparate time! I believe in small businesses keep America running so I found Joshuas Plumbing not too far away. He extracted a large root , came back to do a video inspection and snaked again the whole house to make sure everything worked for us. Recommend him to anyone and everyone who would ask. thanks Joshua!

Description of Work: He replaced a shower valve causing "knocking" in the copper pipes behind the walls. He was right-on with his analysis of the problem over phone, which i thought required tearing down the walls to find the loose pipes - as a result, saving me time and money. I sent him a picture text of the shower assembly and he showed up on the appointment date, on time, with the right replacement valve. He replaced the valve, tested it - problem gone!! I also consulted him on other plumbing issues in the house....i really appreciated his sincere honesty. Bottom line - he knows his trade, honest, knowledgeable...will definitely call him up again.

Description of Work: Had originallly hired Joshua to do a minor toilet repair. That went well, so we asked for an estimate to replace 3 faucets, and three vanity sink bowls. It eventualy became 4 faucets, and some other add-on items. Boy, am I glad I hired a professional to do this. It turns out either the builder, or prior owner had epoxied the sink bowls to the underside of the cultured marble countertop, with some incredibly strong bonding agent. Joshua had to physically break the old sink bowls out with a hammer. That added a lot of time to the job, yet, the estimate did not change. I have to believe many other plumbers would have made a much bigger issue out of this setback. With Joshua, absolutely no drama. We got all the faucets on our own, but Joshua provided the 3 vanity sink bowls. He replaced two showerheads, which we bought on our own, washing machine hoses with braided lines, which he supplied, and an angle stop under the kitchen sink. Everything worked great. He is knowledgeable about his profession, showed up exactly on time ( on both appointments), cleaned up eveything, and is a really nice guy. I would absolutley use him again.

Description of Work: Joshua was returning from a weekend with his family and was on his way down the mountain when I contacted him Sunday afternoon. My washer, which is inside the house, had overflowed into the kitchen and the kitchen sinks also were filling with water. We had attemped to fix the problem ourselves, but could not. Joshua said he would contact me as soon as he was home. It was only a short time later that he called and was on his way. He is a very personable and professional young man and he went to work immediately to locate and resolve the problem. This is the first time I've called a plumber who actually knew what he was doing and explained what was required step by step. Considering this work was done Sunday, the charge was more than fair. I would not hesitate to contact this company again or to recommend them to friends and family. Thank you Angie;s List.
