Mike, who came to do the estimate, was very thorough in explaining the different options in how to prune the trees (e.g., was privacy more important or better airflow) and was not pushy at all. The day of the tree trimming, the crew arrived a little early and took care of talking to the neighbors and letting them know what they were going to do. In about an hour, all the trees were trimmed and the trimmings cleaned up. The crew took care to protect adjacent plantings, so there was minimal damage. Final cost was the same as the estimate.

Took 10 men and two days, and they did a great job. their estimate was not the most expensive, and the quality of their work was excellent.

Contacted them in December. They responded immediately, explained they were book for a month and asked if that would work for me. Really professional from the start. Mike made an appointment for a few days later, showed up a few minutes early and gave me a written quote via email the same day. When they showed up to do the work, as scheduled, the descended on us with a team of professionals that protected the windows, spoke to the neighbors and proceeded to work quickly to trim everything. The only thing better than the trimming was the cleanup they did. The yard was cleaner when they finished than when they showed up. Could not be happier with the way the trees look and the quality of the work

I called Timberland to have them come out to give a quote. I like that they update their answering machine message so you have a sense of when to expect a call back. I dealt with Mike who is very friendly and professional. He called me back and we scheduled a time for him to come out an do the quote. He called me on the day he was to come for the quote and told me he would be slightly later than he originally told me and was that still ok. I thought that was great that he kept me informed instead of just showing up late. That allowed me to plan my day. The price was competitive, so we scheduled a day for them to come out and do the work. They arrived at the scheduled time. the crew was friendly and professional. They completed the work very quickly and did an excellent job cleaning up. Absolutely plan on using them again.

They were superb. They were straightforward, reasonable, and efficient. The work they did was aesthetic and I'm very pleased with their service.

In spite of the fact that we are repeat customers and called several times Timberland never returned our call.

Mike and his crew showed up on time and did an amazing job. Within a few hours they had all the trees down (30' trees) and the stumps ground and all debris hauled away. Our backyard is clean as can be. I would highly recommend them.

Mike from Timberland showed up on time to see the trees in question. He immediately identified the trees by name and gave a written estimate. Mike included the Angie's List discount and estimated that the work should take 2 hours. Prior to the scheduled date, Mike had his insurance company email me their insurance policy and answered all of my questions. His crew arrived promptly and were polite and in uniform. They worked quickly and spoke English. They removed all of the debris and the trimmings.

I was very pleased. Tim, the owner, responded to my call for service and gave me a written quote on the spot. My need was not urgent, so I waited approximately three weeks until they could put me on their schedule. I was aware of the delay from the beginning. When they were running a bit late on the scheduled day, Tim called and kept me informed of their ETA . His crew did a great job. They were organized and efficient. There was a supervisor, but Tim was around most of the time his crew was here. In two years, I will call them again to repeat the process.

i went on Angie's list to find a reputable company that trims,shapes, and prunes trees. Timberland had a lot of great reviews so I called them. I spoke with Mike and told him about the large eucalyptus tree that had never been pruned/trimmed in over 20 years. He told me he would come out and give an estimate which he did. I thought it was reasonable and thus made an appt. They were quite busy so the appt. was scheduled for two weeks time. As it turned out, they had an opening and they asked if they could do the work one week earlier.. They did a great job at a reasonable cost. In addition, they were very accessible.. called back within hours.

I called Tim Ohnstad the afternoon our Torrey Pine toppled over. He came right over and gave me a quote on the price to remove the tree and an old tree stump. He was able to fit me into his schedule the next morning. Tim called before he arrived to say he and his crew were on their way. They did a great job of clearing the back yard of the fallen tree. They were careful to not cut my cable line that came down with the tree. They cleaned up the yard beautifully. Everything went very smoothly and I will definitely hire them again.

They did a great job taking all the stump out even though it went down several feet. They were very professional and cleaned up well before they left. They have my highest recommendation.

Tim from Timberland scheduled the work for 10 am on Tuesday morning. He called at 9 am and said they were running a little early and would it be ok if they began work at 9:30. They showed up at about 9:20 with a full crew (6 to 8 workers, 2 trucks, 1 chipping machine and cherry-picker). Tim gave his men their instructions and one hour later they completed their work. Tim closely supervised their work and the lawn and pathways were cleaner after they left than before the came. I was extremely pleased with their work.

Quote: Tim arrived same day and did a walk through of the property. I pointed out which trees and bushes I wanted removed. In total there were about 6 ficus, 2 juniper, 7 some other type of thin trees, and various other shrubbery. He wrote me a quote that day. The price was a little higher than other quotes but from his assurance he would watch the guys and make sure they were careful not to break pipes since the tree stumps were were right next to my main water line and gas line, I decided to go with him. Service: His team arrived on time the day of the service. Tim did a second walkthrough with me and his team to point out which trees were being removed and where to be careful when working the equipment in the ground. The team went to work for 7 hours cutting and hauling and cleaning up. A small sprinkler pipe was accidentally cut and he went right away to repair it. Overall they did an excellent job.

As expected ... i've used his service several times and he never disappoints! He certainly knows what he is doing and my yard always flourishes after he has come out to do the job. What i appreciate is the attention he provides whether it is a big or small job. Always prompt in responding to me and quick to complete the job.

Tim Ohnstad was great. He was present at the property every step of the way. He first came by to provide a proposal. He was present when the crew arrived to explain in detail what needed to be done. He came by again, after the job was completed, to make sure I was satisfied. I've never experienced that before. Usually, the owner provides the proposal and the crew has to interpret the paperwork to execute the job. I greatly appreciated his attentiveness. The podocarpus at the rear of the yard provides privacy. I wanted them trimmed without compromising the privacy they provide. He emphasized the point to his crew and they did a magnificent job. It was a very satisfying experience.

Excellent! Tim came out the same day I called for an estimate. I gave him the go-ahead the next day, and he deployed a large crew. They arrived in less than two hours, and completed the job in less than four. It's hard to imagine how any firm could be more responsive! I was impressed by their attention to worker safety. A large fruit tree stump was entangled with cement and a metal pole. One man kept watch while another operated the stumper. Work was done exactly as I specified and service was very reasonably priced. The site was left spotless; I didn't see a single twig!

Michael arrived promptly to view the work that needed to be done. He emailed me a quote by the end of the day. The price was in the ball park of the other quotes I received. I was concerned about the existing irrigation system and a low wall surrounding the work area being damaged while the work was being done, he understood my concerns and didn't charge me any additional money to make sure those concerns were addressed (as another company wanted to). On the day the work was done, Michael and his crew showed up on time (I loved that), completed the work quickly and neatly. The entire experience was painless. I will hire them again.

They were great. I couldn't believe they trimmed our big tree down to where they did. The tree now looks great and they're gonna keep any eye on it.

A crew of about ten men show up and attack the trees with verve. Saws buzz, tree limbs start dropping, the chipper hums, and before you know it, you can see clear sky once again, the property is as clean as a whistle, and the Timberland Tree warriors are driving into the sunset.
