The crew works carefully, but quickly. They have a chipper, so they clean up the branches as they work. The trees are on a steep hillside behind the house, so they work from the backyard of the house below. They do a beautiful job of cleaning up after themselves.

They were on time, and showed up with 5 guys, to "triage" the tree! They took every precaution, (as our yard abuts 3 neighbors yards, one with an excitable dog) and had guys, safety lines, boards to direct the branches, blowers, I mean everything and everyone needed to trim a tree which went out over 4 yards, including outs. They even dealt with our anxious and obnoxious neighbor, (owner of the barking dog) who was upset about the whole thing & handled her quite marvelously. The tree looked so wonderful, the yard was cleaned immaculately, no neighbors were offended, nothing was broken, no one fell, no branches damaged anyone else's property. They were here for about 2 hours. All for 250.00. Stunning!

Tim was quick to respond and provide an estimate. His crew showed up on time, removed the trees and stumps, cut and neatly stacked the larger pieces for firewood per my request, and did a meticulous cleanup. I probably could have found someone cheaper, but you get what you pay for. When I need any more tree work done, I'll call Tim.

We got an estimate. I called 3 times to set up an appointment over a period of about a week or two. Finally they returned my call but I had already decided to go with someone else.

Tim and a crew of about 5 came and trimmed several trees on my property including a 35 ft tall palm. Very fast and clean. Just me sure you speak with Tim when booking. I spoke to someone else who might have been trying to go freelance from Timberland. Otherwise, I would use this company again.

My 50-year-old magnolia tree was badly overgrown, but my previous tree trimmer had retired and I was nervous about using someone new because of safety concerns (all my home's utility wires go through the tree's branches) and aesthetics (the tree is a key feature of my corner lot). I found Timberland Tree Co through Angie's List, Tim was responsive, professional and did the job within two days of providing his bid. The tree looks great (as does my queen palm which he also trimmed). All the debris was cleaned up and hauled away (included as part of his very reasonably priced bid). I'll definitely use Timberland Tree next time, too.

Our whole experience was great and we would highly recommend Timberland again. Tim was a great guy to work with.

I called Timberland Tree Company based on the Angie's List reviews. I already had two other bids. Tim, the owner came out the next day. He was straight forward, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He gave me an estimate slightly under the other two bids. He was able to fit us in the next day. Tim and his crew of 4 or 5 arrived on time and got right to it. Tim stayed for some time making sure it was going as planned. The job was done in less than 5 hours including full cleanup and no damage. Tim came back for the last hour to over see the finish. It was a very professionally handled and well done job from beginning to end.

We had some sick trees and Tim came to look at them to see what could be done. It turns out that the trees were infected with insects. He suggested that we could just go to the nursery and get spray/fertilizer to address the problem which would be cheaper than hiring outside contractors to do it. I appreciated his honesty. He is also very knowledgeable about trees. He knew the species of all the trees on our property, and the mites that were infecting them. After the visit and surveying the property, it turned out that there wasn't any work for them to do for us. I offered to pay him for the visit, but he generously declined. His visit helped us tremendously and if there was any work that could have been done on our property, I would have certainly hired them.

They were wonderful. They showed up on time, they did a beautiful job on the trees, and they cleaned up afterwards. They were pleasant and the price was reasonable.

I've used them several times and am always satisfied with their services. They're always on time and give reasonable estimates. They work quietly and efficiently.

Aside from what we needed to do so that we could plant a hedge - we have a beautiful old liquid amber that we want to keep healthy - so we specifically wanted to hire a licensed arborist and that's one of the reasons we called Timberland. Carlos came out and talked with us the same day we called and although the information we were given conflicted with what we had heard from another arborist we ultimately agreed to hire him. (Timberland had been recommended to us by a friend of ours who is a landscaper) Carlos and his team arrived the day after he gave us the quote and in addition to the professional, friendly and expert service - our Liquid Amber looks so much healthier. Rather than remove large branches as the other arborist had suggested - Carlos's team removed smaller branches to "lighten" up the tree and we could see the tree shape "lifting up". In addition to making it prettier - they reduced the stress on the tree which was a critical goal. Without getting into any further details - if they tell you something will work - Trust them.

I did not get the best of service from them. The first time that he came out, he gave us a bid and some good advice, and we set up an appointment for 10 o'clock. He was not able to make it, and I did not hear from him for about a week. I called and spoke to someone else, and he said he ll come over at 7 a.m. before another job that he had, and he never showed up until around 12. It all got mixed up basically, and I was really frustrated. They did not show up or call back when they were supposed to. I asked them to cut back one of the palms, and when he had finished I was concerned that it was still touching the house. I called him back and told him that he needed to cut some more fronds off the palm - I never heard back from him after that. They were high in price because I got another bid that was about $100 less than theirs.

Timberland Tree Co. did a very good job. I liked that they were on time. The job was done swiftly and the results were good. They did a good job cleaning up. They are polite.

They were busy so it took a little time to get them to house. However, they were very courteous and did everything they said they were going to do. Very nice job.

The job went very fast--maybe 2 hours at most. There was no disruption in the neighborhood because the crew was very alert to cars and pedestrians. My only advice is make sure you understand what shaping and trimming mean. Even a well-done tree can look different from your expectations.

I called this contractor to arrange for the branch to be removed. They came over the day I called. Upon arrival, they told me the tree was dying and it should be cut down to prevent further branches from breaking off. I concurred and they removed the entire tree. About 8 guys come to do the work, and they were done in only 30 minutes. After they cut down the tree, they cleaned up any fallen debris in the yard and ground the tree into saw dust. They were prompt, courteous and did not leave any mess after they were done.

It took 3 calls to finally get them to come out for the estimate. The bid was very reasonable compared to other companies, but they are not responsive, and I have been unable to get someone to call me back to schedule the job. I am now planning to use another company.

I had a little trouble contacting the company but we finally connected. I received a good estimate and they came early, did a great job, cleaned up beautifully and even chipped without charge some crooked willow branches I had cut myself because I wasn't able to connect with the company rep right away. What impressed me was that Tim was knowledgeable about each tree variety and knew whether it had to be just trimmed and shaped or cut way back and if this was the right time to trim. The 6 trimmers/workers were also very professional. It only took a little over 3 hours and they did the backyard tree first so that I could let the dogs back out.

Tim called me back quickly and drove over to the house and provided an estimate within 3 days. Between that time and when I booked the job, we realized that we wished to have some additional work done. He was responsive and nice enough to go back over to the house and re-estimate the job. His price was very reasonable, and more importantly he was quick to provide me with his insurance, bonding certification. His crew showed up on time and worked quickly and efficiently. They were unable to get the crane into the backyard so his team was able to proficiently free climb the tree with the appropriate safety gear. They were in and out on the job within 4 hours, and were extremely thorough in sweeping up the entire property and removing all debris. They were careful to remove as much of the root system as possible around the foundation and sewer and backfilled the area completely where the tree was removed with soil and wood chips.

I called Tim for an estimate and he responded within 2 hours. We scheduled an appointment and his crew arrived on time and completed the job in record time. They were professional, courteous and cleaned up the area when they finished.

Tim gave us the time his crew would arrive. They were on-time. The crew went to work immediately, and within two hours, three trees were pruned and five were removed. Overall, I am pleased with the outcome. Tim's crew performed an excellent job. They removed all of the debris with nothing lingering.

They came when they said they would, they did what they said they would do and their price and quality of work was swell.

They are going to be doing another job for me.

Tim was honest and forthright upon seeing the tree and suggested that I call the utility company first to see if they would remove it free of charge because of the danger of the power lines. I did so and S. California Edison had someone out within two weeks to remove the tree. A savings to me of over $500. Timberland came later and removed the massive stump for a reasonable price. As well as being honest, Tim was quite knowledgeable. He provided services for my next door neighbor in removing trees and bushes which would become problematic.
