The install when well with provider showing up on time, addressing any issues with existing wiring, bringing it up to code and cleaning up once project was done.

I ordered the service but when I spoke to the electrician at CA&E he said it was just a labeling of the panels (which I already have) and estimate. He is coming out to give me a free estimate and I don't need this service. Thank you for refunding!

Rene was able to fit my job in sooner than he planned and handled the job with ease. Did a professional job in quick time and was even flexible enough to perform an additional unplanned outlet installation inside my house in less than 30 minutes. It was a pleasure working with Rene. His experience as an electrician shows and his friendly and knowledgeable demeanor was a pleasant surprise.

CA&E appears to be job broker with various technicians located in S.D. and Orange counties. Rene did the work here. A bit of back and forth to get the electrician scheduled from the office but he was on-time, knowledgeable and obviously experienced. Some discussion was needed about the cover to be installed but the one pictured in the ad was quickly installed. My site appeared to have bathroom countertop socket directly over the desired location on the outside, but hidden plumbing and an unusually low fireblock was in the way, so he had to jump out of the inside wall (with hole saw) over the vertical stud and back in, forcing patches in the inside wall. He putty'd and I had to prime/paint touchup. No added charge for his wall work. It went well enough that I thought of going to the computer and buying another "special" and having him install another in the same trip. I appreciated his knowledge base and willingness to "ballpark" rewiring a larger 240 circuit for a larger dual oven, my next project.

Rene answered my phone call on my first attempt and scheduled the installation for later that week. He was polite enough to call about 30 minutes before his arrival. I wanted to have an outdoor electrical plug installed on my patio and Rene promptly went about this task. During his visit, he did point out some other electrical work that I might want to consider in the future, and provided me with cost estimates, but there was no sales pitch or pressure. I greatly appreciated his input and will definitely use CA&E again.

Rene was punctual and professional. He installed a new outlet, an "Angie's List Deal", then upgraded several existing outlets to tamper resistant units. He examined the fuse box at my house, and suggested upgrades to the existing wiring. I will use his services again in the future.

Rene responded promptly to my inital voice mail to schedule service. He accomodated my preferred timing. He arrived on time. He completed the work efficiently and in a timely manner. He kept me fully-informed on what he was doing and made recommendations on what my options were. He was personable and professional. This was the first time I have used Rene/Comfort Air and Electric Inc. I purchased a $99 coupon for $200 worth of work. The final charge was $150 additional: a total of $350 less the coupon credit of $200 value. Although not what I would consider a bargain, but you get what you pay for. I will use Rene again in the future for some upcoming renovation work I have in mind, and would recommend his services if you are not looking for someone cheap.

We called Comfort Air & Electric on an Angie’s List coupon, with a list of electrical installs and repairs, knowing it far exceeded the parameters of the offer, thinking we would check out the work on the coupon and get estimates on the rest if we liked the work. René showed up about 9 am and when he left, shortly after lunchtime, he had done - and done well - everything on my list and at a very reasonable rate. The best recommendation I can offer is that I intend to hire René and Comfort Air & Electric for a larger upcoming project.

Rene gave advanced notice of his arrival time. While working on our requested items, he had occasion to work at the breaker sub-panel located in the garage. He noted that most existing breakers were over 35 years old and had aluminum connectors. He recommended that they be replaced with new breakers using copper connectors. I agreed that this was advisable and authorized the work. He also tightened all connections within the box; and inspected the master box on the exterior of the house, noting that prior work we'd had done by a handyman was not to code. One task we desired to be done involved replacing a ceiling fixture located at the only attic entrance. He recommended a recessed fixture in the ceiling rather than a new visible fixture to eliminate the potential for breakage every time one entered the attic. We authorized that service - and are very pleased with the result. We returned the replacement fixture that was to have been installed to Lowe's and got a full refund. Overall, Rene was here fore perhaps 3-4 hours. He seemed very knowledgeable and professional. The price paid as quoted above was net of the $200 credit due to our purchase of an Angie's Deal for $99 for $200 worth of service. The "B" rating for price as noted above (rather than an "A" rating) is simply because I do not have a trusted point of reference to compare the ultimate cost here with the competition. The most expensive individual item was upgrading the circuit breakers in the panel box - at $860.00, and we did not anticipate that expenditure or get other bids - although I agreed that it was wise to perform the work and am pleased that we did it - one less thing to worry about in an older house.
