Description of Work: I bought the Big Deal from AL, and before I did, I reserached the company on the web. They had rave reviews! The company called me right away. Everyone I talked to or dealt with was fantastic. Great service. Nathan who came to my house and did the work was fantastic. The only thing I'm not certain about is...if I paid more for the Big Deal, than I would have paid had I just hired the company. I should have had an estimate done prior. That is completely MY FAULT! Anyway, I don't know completely yet if the treatment worked, but so far no sign of termites! Yay! I would highly recommend Surf City Pest Control. Sprayed attic, underneath house, problem areas, etc.

Description of Work: We are renting our condo in Southern California-we are currently living out of state. Our tenant claimed she had bed bugs and took it upon herself to hire a pest control company with a 'bed bug sniffing dog" to do the inspection. Without moving furnture-looking under mattresses, etc., the pest company said it was bed bugs and wanted to exterminate the condo using a heat treatment costing $1200. After d*** some research we found that heat treatment can cause damage to appliances, etc.. The company she hired is also listed on Angie's list and has received an F rating. Wanting a second opinion, I referred to Angie's list and found Surf City Pest Control and decided to hire them-they have an A rating. They inspected the condo on 1/16 and determined that we did not have bed bugs, but carpet beetles. Also noted on their inspection report that there was alot of dust and hair behind bed boards and furniture-possibly the reason for the carpet beetles. On 1/19 Surf City exterminated the carpet beetles also giving us a 30 day guarantee. Have not heard from tenant since. Surf City was professional and acted quickly to inspect and do the extermination. I recommend them highly for not only that reason but saving us $1000 on an unnecessary extermination for bed bugs that did not exist. Needless to say, I am so grateful to have Angie's list to refer to when needing repairs on our condo as I would have never found Surf City otherwise.

Description of Work: I would recommend this company. We purchased and Angie's List daily deal and were very pleased with the company for pest control inside and outside or our newly constructed home. They arrived promptly and used all organic pesticide that smelled like rosemary. We vacated the premises for two hours and the smell had dissipated. Very professional and wonderful service. I had to change my appointment times at least twice and the scheduler was very patient with me. A very good company.

Description of Work: Sprayed inside and outside house for pest control. Primary problem is a cricket infestation outside the house. Extremely strong odor left inside house. Would not recommend for homes with hardwood floors as it left water stains on edges. Treatment outside the house, in particular, did not seem to take care of the crickets. Am in the process of scheduling a follow-up spraying which was offered by the owner due to my dissatisfaction. Am slightly reluctant to schedule since the first round didn't seem to take care of the problem and created more of an odor issue for me than a resolution to the problem.

Description of Work: Serviceman removed a wasp nest and sprayed the entire perimeter of my house. I was impressed that I was not pressured to purchase a monthly contract with the company. I also received a follow up phone call to make sure I was happy with their service.
