Surf City Termite & Pest Control

After speaking with who I believe was one of the owners, we agreed that the service was necessary and stated they would come out however many times to help decrease or rid us of our flea problem. And though I did already know about the service, I had one before, it was the perfect time to see how they got across " their " knowledge to me. They knew a great deal and were so kind and polite about how they educated me as to the options. I never felt pressured to purchase the service or self conscience to ask questions. They came as scheduled, did the service and I wanted to call in my payment and he gladly obliged to what-ever I would like to do. The service did help, but I already knew that I was going to repeat it. I called on the 3rd week after service and they gladly booked another appointment. The individual was even more professional than the first! He stated it could be outside animals, like possums or racoons, even found evidence that they had been on the back fence and placed something back there to keep them away. Did the entire house, garage, front, and backyard. And I can say we are successful in ridding our home of fleas. I am happy, and the pets are very, very happy and I am planning to have a service every 3-4 months to keep the bugs away! Definitely, I will be calling Surf City Pest Control! Nothing but positive on their services and I can say the same for them if you try!!!

Quarterly service so far it has been great.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. There were some extra charges because we chose some additional services. They were very thorough and very good. The pricing was reasonable.

It was great. They called me the nest day and had an appointment the next week, it was pretty quick. I would definitely refer them and use them again.

Everyone was punctual, patient and professional. It started with a call to their office to schedule a free inspection. The office called a few days before the inspection to remind me their man would be over on the agreed upon day. Nathan arrived on time, was extremely thorough and crawled into the attic, under the house and every corner of the property. He left no stone unturned. He was polite and easy to work with. This was our man and we scheduled (then re-scheduled because of a conflict from my calendar) an appointment. The day arrived and Nathan was on time despite a long commute to my residence. He sprayed, injected the treatment into the ground outside the vulnerable areas of the dwelling, and repaired damaged areas where appropriate. He did a superior job and I was delighted with his performance.

The company was very professional and courteous. Completed that job as quoted and on time. The staff kept in constant contact with me through the whole process. From the moment the initial ispector came to look at my property and until the day the fumigation guy came everyone was very professional and knowledgable in what they do.

The experience was fine. They came out and sprayed. They even told me not to be in the house for an hour. After three months they will come back and spray again. They are very professional, competent and thorough as well.

Fantastic Job! On time and on-budget with great customer service and support. They were able to provide the same staff to conduct additional work as they would know the areas to treat. Overall a great subcontracting experience!

The experience with Surf City Pest Control as a little confusing. The person that came had no knowledge of the Big Deal so they were confused as to whether they were paid or not. Otherwise it was an adequate job.

I was promptly called after signing up for the "Big Deal." The lady I spoke with on the phone was polite and accommodating regarding the scheduling. The worker was right on time. Nice people to work with.

This deal has turned out great!!! They have already done the first treatment and gave me an estimate on termite control.

I had some concerns about areas on my roof where pests were getting inside. They were able to take a look at the roof as well as spray inside and outside of my home. I was happy with their service. I will be using them again in the future.

There was a mass exit of the bugs walking across the garden. It was quite impressive. Their prices were reasonable. They were quick and friendly. It was effective.

After about 10 days I called to find out why they had not come back. Said scheduling mix up and came out to check trap. Traps empty so he re-baited and said he would leave them another week. A month later and they have not been back. In the meantime, called another service who inspected the attic and said that I did not need to replace insulation, just sanitize. He also said the traps that Surf City set were all clustered in one area and not spread around so he was not surprised nothing was caught. Finally called Surf City back to get their traps and first thing the lady tries to do is sign me up for quarterly service. So to me it appears they want to sell insulation and a contract for on-going service but don't really care if they do what they were hired to do in the first place. I feel ripped off for spending this much money to set a few traps and to put up with constant up sells.

I was impressed with my phone conversation. I had intended to go with the Tri Annual $199 Angie's List special. They asked if I wanted the inside sprayed also. I stated yes, due to the fact that was sister had received a few bites that the doctor believed was flea bites. I told the receptionist, Gabby, that we could not locate any fleas, ants or bed beds in the house and had no idea what was really biting her. Gabby mentioned they had a similar situation that ended up being Carpet Beetles. She advised that carpet beetles need a different treatment and were not covered under the spraying I was intending to purchase. I was happy to have that information up front. She stated they would do a free inspection and then I could decide which treatment I needed. I immediately got on the floor and started looking into my shag carpet. Against the edge of the wall, I found a few strange looking bugs and pictures on the internet pretty much verified for me that they were Carpet Beetles. I was impressed that Gabby basically diagnosed my issue over the phone. The technician, Fernando, was on time and explained what would be done and the cost. He also explained how to keep the carpet beetles from returning. I went ahead with the service. He spent quite a bit on time spraying and seemed extremely thorough. One thing that stood out was that he brushed all the cobwebs down from my eaves. I felt like that was going above and beyond.

We had our kitchen redone last year and yet we had all our pantry items in storage bags because of the ants. Surf City was called, an appointment time was scheduled and then it rained. I called the day before and asked if we could reschedule after the rains and they were more than accommodating. They came out, the technician explained what he was going to do, we discussed our concerns and he sprayed where we wanted him to indoors and he did the perimeter of the house outdoors. We have not had a problem since. I would definitely recommend Surf City to anyone that needs good, reliable, pest control service.

My tenants had wonderful things to say about this company. In fact I had used a different company in the past and my tenants expressed major disappointment, so I was thrilled that surf city did such a wonderful job. Happy tenants equals happy landlord, thanks surf city! I will definitely be calling you back for future problems.

I was pretty sure it was time to tent my home and contacted Surf City for an appointment to get an inspection and estimate. The technician was about 45 minutes late for our appointment and I had come home in the middle of the workday and could not wait for him. I initially decided not to reschedule with them but they called and convinced me to give them another try. They arrived on time the next time and the estimate was fair. They even offered to do an additional ant spray at no charge because of the missed appointment. On work day the crew arrived and performed the job in a professional manner. I thought we had bagged everything properly but they took the time to double bag everything we had done. None of my plants were harmed and that was important to me. I have recommended Surf City to a couple of neighbors and I recommend them to anyone reading this.

I was very satisfied with the service. I would use them again. I have no dislikes whatsoever. The individual that came out explained everything thoroughly and performed the service. He came promptly considering Surf City out near Huntington Beach near the Ocean. He got here right on time. I have no hesitation giving him a higher grade.

Team arrived on time and worked a long day to get all the wood replaced. They went the extra mile and painted in all as well which required an extra trip here to pick up the paint. When a bit of paint dripped from the balcony due to a dewy night, they arranged for a power washer to come to make sure it was cleaned properly. Very nice, very professional, very prompt. Good experience.
