Surf City Termite & Pest Control

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was okay. There were no additional charges.

Nathan came out and did a thorough inspection - including in the attic. He walked me through the property and explained the treatment he recommended. He was very polite, professional, and I felt the price was competitively priced. Told me I could call with any questions if I had any later...which I did and they were very professional on the phone. Ralph came out to do the treatment. He called me to say he was caught in traffic but would be here shortly - I appreciated the call. He was very polite, professional and worked efficiently. Completed all the work we had agreed on. I would call them again and have already recommended them to relatives. Thank you, Kristen Bush

We had some air duct work done by another Angie's List contractor, who was stellar. He noticed some droppings and informed us. So back to the List for research. We have a huge avocado tree in the backyard and some occlusions that enable a critter to get under or on top of the house. we had bent duct grills & in some cases missing grills and a 3'X3' crater that was of concern. Of the 3 places we contacted, Surf City gave us a written diagram w/ an estimate. One quack outfit wanted over $200 without even seeing the problem 1st. "if we do any work that amount will be applied towards the job cost." BEAT IT! The other guy was honest, but just didn't have the construction connections. Tech #1 was punctual and got to work. Once he figured it would take longer than quoted, Tech #2 showed to finish on time. Great job. Follow ups were done. Very Professional!

Surf City Pest Control did an okay job. It was nothing spectacular, it was fine. I had another company do the same type of job on another house and it was basically the same. I don't have anything spectacular to say. The cost from the original estimate was fine, I don't think there was anything extra. They came fairly right away. It's hard because I don't have anything specific to relate it to. I was satisfied. For responsiveness, there's room for improvement. They were right on time. I wound up using another service right after that. I don't have any preference. It's not out of the realm of possibility that I would use them again but I don't have any other purpose for having a termite work done again.

Before bringing in an expensive new bed we asked Surf City to check to see if we had any unwelcome house guests. Felix, from SC, gave us a call a half hour before he arrived and was on time. He was very thorough checking the carpet, looking behind the bed, etc. After checking everything out he reassured us we were fine. How many times do you find someone that honest? I like dealing with honest people and would definitely call Surf City again if and when we do have a problem.

They were kind enough to fit me in the same day to treat my house. They had to drill holes 1foot apart on inner walls inside my entire house. I didn't get other estimates but felt the price was fair due to the time involved process. The technicians were very nice and professional. The job is guaranteed for 2 years so they stand behind their treatment process.

Felix and pedro were very professional, punctual and willing to answer all questions . They delivered exactly what they promised . Although we could not move all the furniture , they were still able to accommodate . I have not had termite control for 10 years and now feel rest assured.

Great! I had so many spiders outside and they were coming into the house. Got spider bites but after they sprayed, no more insects in the house.

We will not hesitate to use Surf City Pest Control in the future. Their service is very thorough, their communication is immediate and their integrity is outstanding. We had a termite inspection done by John who recommended only spot treatments for termites. His inspection also identified areas of wood fungus needing treatment and cosmetic repair. This inspection was the most thorough we have had in the 30 years we have owned this house. Felix performed the termite and fungus treatments a short time later: the crawl space, the garage, the two attics and the external wood fences. Unfortunately, near the end of the attic treatment, a board Felix was standing on in the attic broke and his foot went through the front entry ceiling. Felix immediately contacted the management at Surf City and performed a temporary repair. An estimate for repair from our contractor was forwarded to the management and the repair was quickly approved. As a consequence the entire repair was completed in a very short time to our complete satisfaction. Thank you!

Surf City Pest Control's inspector, Felix spent a lot of time at our home inspecting for termites and their damage. He found termites and ternmite damage from the bottom floor to the 2nd floor attic. He spent a lot of time showing us the affected areas and explaining about termites and about the chemical (Bora-Care) used for treatment and how it would kill the termites present and prevent further infestations. We ultimately did not have Surf City treat our home, however we were so impressed by the thorough work and the care shown, (at no charge), that we would recommend this company to anyone for termite inspection and control.

They came back two more times primarily because I was so "Freaked Out" by the experience. The return visits were just $45.

We had a huge pest problem in our home. Lots of small openings that had to be sealed. They came in, helped trap rodents safely, seal any entry points, and came back for multiple follow up visits. They were flexible with my needs and even went the extra mile to help out with some repairs that weren't included in the original quote but made it affordable for me to add on at the end. Good quality carpentry on the fixes of my fence outdoors, which was ransacked by ground termites. Felix is the man to talk to and work with, he really takes great pride in his work and especially went the extra mile. If you can get the tent fumigation done before you move in, I highly recommend it.

We did have a recurrence of termites in one painted panel that was treated several months after our treatment. They were prompt, and honored coming back to finish taking care of these d*** critters without any complaints or charges. Would definitely recommend them!

It went very well. There is no sign of rats. Would use them again.

WENT WELL. I HAD HAD OTHER ESTIMATES AND FELIX FOUND THE SAME INFESTATIONS THAT THEY DID. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, CLEAN, AND TIDY. HE FOLLOWED UP ON THE PHONE TO BE SURE I RECEIVED THE WRITTEN ESTIMATE. I WENT WITH ANOTHER COMPANY BECAUSE OF PRICE AND I HOPE I DON'T REGRET IT!

They came by this morning, right on time if not early. Felix could not have been nicer, no exaggeration. He answered every question I had patiently and knowledgably, and I had more then a few. We've had a bunch of spiders lately, so we'll see how well the treatment works, but he told me they have a 30-day warranty and if there was an issue to just give a call. I'd use these guys again.

They did their best to try to locate but could not find. Provided estimates to do partial and/or full removal and replacement of insulation. Very professional and courteous.

The technician was professional, explained what he was doing, and explained the terms of the warranty. This was a pre-paid package and the cost may be slightly higher that just paying for the services that were provided.

Felix watched over all the steps and showing his great leadership, the whole crews did a excellent job. Felix took care of my termite problem. He was super polite and responsive. He even helped me get rid of a mouse at no extra charge. Will definitely call them again!

We had cricket and spider issues. The service seems to have taken care of the problem. The only reason I gave them a B for quality was that we had to call them back two weeks after one scheduled service for a redo. They were very responsive and flexible in scheduling the work all year.

They were very quick to reply, prompt for the appointment, friendly and professional.

They did a very good job. They did a fair amount to wood work for termite damage. They used primed wood and we had to refinish. The work was clean and after painting looked like it should. Hopefully, they got all of termites. You never know. They were good working with the price. We had 3 quotes and with the Angie's List discount saved about $400.
