Response from Sureshine Marble And Stone Care & Restoration Services
[Member Name Removed], You purchased an Angies List Big Deal for Cleaning and Sealing your granite counters for $199. This is our way of extending a discount to the normal cost of $350-$450 for this "stand alone service" especially if you do not have a lot of other stone or tile surfaces to clean. Cleaning and Sealing is not a resurfacing service. It is simply a professional detail cleaning and sealing. In many cases the shine of the granite stays the same. If you had problems with your granite before the service and had communicated that to us we could have proposed a refinishing or polishing service for a modest additional cost. Here is a quote from the work order that was emailed to you on July 13, 2015 at 8:50 a.m., 15 days before the work was completed that fully explains the service: "Granite Kitchen Counter - Detail Clean and Seal Granite counters and back splash (granite only). Scrape to remove residues. Apply a solvent to clean pores as possible. Apply Impregnating sealer. Buff as necessary. Please remove the items on your counter prior to our arrival. This process will not remove oil stains or darkness from soap, etch marks, scratches, and other stains. Problems of this kind require a stain removal or refinishing treatment." We are known as the company that does whatever necessary to exceed our customers' expectations. The only way we can make that happen is if customers communicate their concerns. While I appreciate your review it is unfortunate that you had not communicated your concerns to us earlier when we could have done something about it. Thank you, Ted McFadden
