I was very pleased with the work Jim and his crew did. Almost everything in both bathrooms was replaced; drywall was repaired; tile was laid on floors, and on tub and shower surrounds; cabinets and toilets installed, walls and new doors were painted. At the end of the day all construction debris was carried out of my home. I especially appreciated that service. I also was given names of vendors he recommended, which made my job of picking out tile, fixtures, etc. much easier. And the bathrooms were only part of the job I hired OC Home Builders to do. Cabinets have already been picked out for the kitchen remodel, which should start in a month or so. I can recommend the company without reservation.

We did not select OC Builders. Their price was competitive but we found another Contractor that we thought we would like working better with.

It couldn't have been better! Jim and his wife, America, were a pleasure to work with. This is our fifth home and we have worked with several contractors throughout our years of home ownership. None of those other contractors come close to the professionalism, quality, and value that O.C. Home Builders provided for us. We are relatively new to Angie's List and this was our first hire from the site. The reviews on Angie's List of Jim and his crew were outstanding and now we know why firsthand. It speaks well to the quality of the feedback on Angie's List and Jim and America work very hard to earn the praise they receive. From the day I first called to get an estimate to the last day on the job, O.C. Home Builders and their entire crew were prompt, courteous, clean, efficient, honest, and fair. Jim and his crew really care about their clients and want them to be completely satisfied. Jim is also very competitive with his rates. In my opinion, it would be very difficult to match the quality and value of O.C. Homebuilders. It was also a pleasure working with America. She was very helpful in keeping things on track and assisting us with any questions we had. Our highest recommendation to O.C. Homebuilders!

James came out and checked everything. I needed him to start the job quickly. He pulled all my permits and had drawing made for L.A. lnspection department. The quantity of OC homebuilders ls first class.everything was build as it should have been also everything was finshed on time. I truly love my new staircase,thanks to OC homebuilders.

While building a place for my Mom to move in to, Jim was very nice and polite. He was always willing to listen to the needs and concerns expressed by her showing patience along the way. This happened several times as she was changing her mind a lot. The job was clean through the whole process. The workers were careful in the details of their work as well as their manners. This was specially important to us as there were two children under the age of two at this location site. Overall, Jim was excellent, a man of his word,and one you can become friends with. He couldn't have done this without his right hand man America, his wife. She came to the site often as well taking process pictures and engaging in the design and color of the work. She herself is very knowledgeable in what suppliers to go to when special material was needed and that I greatly appreciated.

The job went amazingly well. My wife and I were worried that the demolition would be noisy and messy. We have cats, so we were concerned that they might run out an open door or be terrified by the workers. I had visions of workmen falling through the ceiling. None of that happened. Everyone on Jim's team was professional, considerate, hard-working, and cat-friendly. They were punctual and listened patiently and attentively to our concerns and requests. They kept the doors closed, sealed off the demolition area like something out of Dexter, and worked with excellent coordination among themselves. Jim was always accessible. When Mike told me that the insulation team would run out of product in half an hour, I was able to phone Jim with how many rolls they needed and he brought them right on time. The ladder went in securely and perfectly aligned. The final trim and paint job was excellent without a stray drop. The house feels immediately more comfortable from the insulation. And the closet access was sealed and painted (and retro-popcorned) without an errant drip anywhere on the cedar lining. No one would know there had ever been a hole there. They did a great job in record time, cleaned up completely, and we are very pleased with the final result. We didn't get competitive bids, but we definitely got star-class treatment and I am totally satisfied with the results and what we paid.

The quality of work is excellent. Even my neighbor complimented on the workmanship.

I could not be happier with my new kitchen! Jim and America of OC Homebuilders make an awesome team to work with. From the first meeting to final inspection they were attentive, reassuring and appreciative for the work. Jim was great at keeping the job moving from the start. America was like a Cheerleader with lots of complements on the design. After the project was complete and the final check was written Jim and America still made themselves available for any questions I might have. I am considering a bathroom remodel and when I am ready I know exactly who I will ask to do the project

Pretty well. They textures the wall which did not match our texture which was disappointing but I know this is a hard task. We are using another option to fix this currently.

I was skeptical to say the least about going onto Angie's list to find a contractor. have dealt with contractors most of my life as my father was in the business. I can say that Jim Fischer and his wife America work very closely as a team and provide their customers the best service that any one could ask for. Jim was punctual, courteous and available for questions any time of the week. Jim has years of experience that show in the quality of his work. I didn't want to see the work completed because I felt I would be losing a friend when he and his teams wouldn't be showing up at the door. Jim coordinated all of his work crews in a very efficient manner and always made himself available to them also. When I first called Jim, he responded almost immediately and was very thorough about the work that needed to be done. The estimate was given in a short period of time and Jim was as enthusiastic as we were to begin the work. The work followed the prescribed amount of time. Jim also did some other jobs my wife and I needed done while he was completing the major reconstruction. Also because of health reasons, I was forced to locate a new home for one of my cats and Jim made calls to try and find a new place for her. Jim and America went out of their way to make us satisfied customers and succeeded beautifully. We have more construction to do in the future and OC Homebuilders will be the first people we call. If you need a good, reliable contractor, these are the people to call. I was not disappointed with the information I obtained from Angie's List and give both of these companies, OC Homebuilders and Angie's List my highest rating.

It was great. They really did a solid job from start to finish. Probably one of the best contractors I have hired.

We had a water leak that did drywall and carpet damage. Two rooms were affected. My house was in escrow when it happened. The work had to be fast and satisfy the buyer and insurance. Jim, the owner arrived quickly and gave the insurance company the estimate. Everything was ageeed upon and the work started immediately. The work was finished and was ready for the buyer to inspect. The buyer was elated with the work and the escrow closed smoothly. The insurance company also checked it out and approved the work.I would recommend O.C. HOME BUILDERS to anyone. Jim and America are a great team to work with. Jim's work is high quality, reasonably priced and really quick. He was a good listener and helped us out a lot. He is a hard worker, easy to work with and reliable. Both he and America were quick to respond, personable and friendly. They got a lot of work done, quickly and at a reasonable price. We bought a fixer upper and I am sure there will be many more projects to come and we would not hesitate to work with them again.

We were extremely pleased with OC Home builders from estimate through completion. Husband and wife team are extremely responsive, professional and prompt. Jim and his team were on time everyday and stuck as close as possible to the original time frame and cost estimate. Jim understood our vision and completed it perfectly.

Jim and his helper, David, worked fast and efficiently to get the job done quickly. I had to leave prior to their departure and when I returned home, all was clean and swept up and the lights were working!

I would recommend their service to the others. The guy was friendly. He did the work quickly, and cleaned up after himself. We did not have any problems with him.

They were fine, and they were very assertive. They did the quality of work that I expected. They got their work done and did a good job.

Contractor was very receptive to the projects on our list. He indicated he would be able to complete them in the time allotted. Took a little extra time, but he would not charge us additional money. He was very pleasant and we would use him again.

We recently moved in to our home and needed two ceiling fans installed, mounting of our television to the wall, and a security screen door installed. Also, our garage ceiling needed an estimate to see how much it would cost to finish it with drywall and to replace the water water heater. We contacted James and made sure what we needed done could be him. We purchased two coupons for the same day and James and one other worker came to our house for four hours. James did a great job and worked quickly and efficiently. He also provided us with an estimate to finish off our garage. James even brought his own vacuum to clean up the debris. We would highly reccomend James to anyone who is looking for quality work.

They were good, clean and very accomodating.

I purchased this as an Angie's List Big Deal - $129 for up to 4 hours of remodeling work. I had a former furnace closet in the house that was sitting pretty much vacant because I didn't have time to remodel it myself. When I saw the deal, I figured why not? I got a call from the company within 2 hours of my purchase, and they were able to schedule me for the next morning which was great. I thought I'd have to wait at least a couple of weeks. Jimmy showed up the next morning, exactly on time, with his nephew who is helping him out. We quickly determined that I didn't have enough lumber, so Jimmy went to the nearby lumber place while Gordon stayed to remove the drywall that had been covering the old furnace air return and prepping the space for Jimmy. He also through out some trash we found in that vacant space for me. Jimmy came back quick and set right to work, fixing the hole and then taping and mudding the drywall, plus fixing a hole in the drywall where the gas line went up to the furnace in the attic. He was able to do all the mudding, plus installed plywood in the bottom of the closet so I can stand in it (couldn't do that with drywall there), and built shelves into the closet for me. The entire job took about 2.5 hours. I can now paint the interior of the closet and finally have more linen closet space. Jim and Gordon both were very nice and professional, they got right to work, cleaned up after themselves, and did an impressively fast job in doing exactly what I wanted for that closet. It was the best deal I think I've purchased from the list, and I've bought quite a few of them.

They did a fabulous job. They did exactly what they said they would do, in the time they said they would do it and charged what they said they would charge. They seemed to know a lot about everything else so if I need work for anything else I'll call them first. We chose them because of Angie's list.

I was impressed with OC Homebuilders right from the start. I received a call within an hour of e-mailing them requesting a bid. Jim came to my house the next day and later provided a bid that was reasonable and took into consideration my budget. Jim was patient, listened and provided good ideas and information. I continued to be impressed throughout the process with the service, speed and workmanship. Jim was easy to work with and very accommodating to my requests. I couldn't be happier with my new kitchen and bathroom and would definitely use Jim again for other projects. He takes pride in his work and I would not hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.

During Jim's visit to measure and give us the estimate he listened to or wished and asked questions to assure he knew what we wanted and provided information to us so we would could make good choices. Jim's estimate was very reasonable and his time line was great (two days from start to finish). When the stone business delayed delivery to Jim his wife called to brief me on the problem and the adjusted time line. (Great customer service). He was very professional and very personable. He finished on time and did a great job. The shower looks fantastic. We will be using Jim again and I recommend him to anybody.
