David's Tree Service

He did a very good job. They were very professional. They had more than one worker came out. Things that I had them do would have taken one person probably four days or so. I think they had brought three, four or five workers maybe. They were efficient. They did not waste time and they cleaned up after themselves. They pruned the plum trees but this year we only had one plum. I don’t know what happened. Last year, we only had three. We’ve been going down for a while. I thought pruning would give some life but it certainly didn’t. It is alive but it’s probably close to 25 years old. They were very good. They had a kind of a foreman who monitored what was going on, watched and helped in that sort of thing. They did what I asked them to do. They did it well. They ended up charging what their estimate was. They didn’t run over. They thought it would be a day and a half. It was a very long day but they did it all in one day. I could recommend them highly. I had probably five people come out, give me estimates but theirs was the most reasonable. They weren’t the cheapest but they were very reasonable for what I had them do. Sometimes too cheap is just too cheap. I always end up with something that I usually didn’t want or I didn’t like but it was reasonable. They were sort of maybe in the top 1/3 of price fairness. They came on time, they told me exactly when they were coming, and they were here probably 15 or 30 minutes earlier from the set. I did have an estimate. The estimate wasn’t on time and that’s always kind of a red flight for me. They said they’d come and give me estimate and then they come two hours late. I don’t ever look at people like that because I figured they’ll always be late but they were on time with everything that they said they would do. Yes, I would use them again.

We have used David's Tree Service in the past and were very pleased with their services. They have well trained aborists who really know trees, their root systems, and all about trimming them. They have advised us twice now on our tree trimming. They aren't interest din just coming in and chopping away at trees. In fact, they will not trim a tree if they feel it is not in the trees best interest as far as time of year or the amount you are requiting to be taken off the tree. Very professional, punctual and friendly service both times we had them to our house. I would definitely call them back again and certainly recommend their services to anyone who needs tree service. Great job guys!

I have used Dave's Tree Service twice now. The first time was to trim and thin out 4 Olive trees. There was a fifth one, but they advised against doing anything because it was a little sick. They arrived on time and expertly shaped and thinned out my Olives, which is no easy feat; many trimmers have no idea how to properly prune an Olive tree. That was a little over a year ago. When it was time for my annual tree maintenance, I again called Dave's. They came out and advised me on my Olives. And they correctly diagnosed that one of my Silver Sheens was suffering from root rot. Again, they arrived on time and expertly shaped and thinned out my Olives. They also did a little trimming on some other overgrown shrubs, no added charge. They also removed and replaced my Silver Sheen with a new, albeit smaller, one. I will use no other tree service than Dave's. They may not be the cheapest, but I feel they are really the best for the money.

I was very pleased with both the professionalism displayed by Matt during the estimate and by his co-workers during the removal of three palm trees from our front yard. I have no complaints and they cleaned up nicely after they were done.

They came out twice at a time convenient to us to give us two quotes (the second one was because we decided we wanted more work done). They were punctual and every interaction with them from the receptionist to the estimator to the guy who did the actual trimming was friendly and professional. They were more expensive than other companies we got quotes from but we decided to go with them because they were willing to work around our schedule. The only thing we were unhappy about was that when they trimmed a ficus tree it dripped sap all over part of our patio (which has been almost impossible to get off) - I think they should have expected that and covered the surface - and a falling branch left a dent on part of the patio too.

David's was fantastic with scheduling, following up and the actual tree trimming. I would highly recommend them!

David's Tree Service were out here right away after I called them. They were out here in a couple of days to do the work.

On time. Super clean. Super nice guys. They explained what they were doing as they were going about doing it. After they did everything, they blew it all out and washed down the whole backyard, made it all clean. Made sure the gate opened and closed.

I knew my pepper tree needed to be removed because the roots were out of control. The had already busted through a planter and moved a block wall about 6 inches. Dave came by and gave me an estimate of $1,750 which was in the range I expected. The following week,Gus and his crew showed up on time and began the job. Gus thoroughly explaind what needed to be done, and the challenges, before they began the work. It was a difficult job because the tree was in the back corner of my yard, kind of wedged between two block walls. Because the access to my backyard is very narrow (5 feet on each side....typical tract home), the crew needed to use a crane from the street behind my house. They used the crane to remove the large branches and then used it to lift the stump grinder machine into the yard. I had said that I wanted to be able to plant there again, so they ground down the stump to at least a foot below ground level. They then had to use axes to break up the roots that had grown into the block walls. They couldn't use the grinding machine for fear of putting a whole in the wall because the space was so tight. The tree came down quickly, but it took 3 guys a good part of the day to grind the stump and remove as much of the roots as they could. When they were done, they cleaned up quite well and Gus explained everything to me before they left. I was very happy with their promptness, the care they took with the job, and their clean-up.. I would definitely use them again should the need arise.

They did a fabulous job on the trees, and cleaned up everything. My orange tree has never looked better, and all of the trees look healthier and naturally shaped. I look at the trees and know I made the right decision going with this company. We've already hired them again to do work at another home.

Gus and his crew were awesome! Prompt, professional, and thorough! Big job and clean up was great! Gus was patient and answered all of my questions, we will use hem again to remove another tree in front later this year!

Initial estimate was 1800 for trimming two trees. One is an avocado and the other a large palm tree. I asked for an estimate to trim and remove the palm. After considerable thought the estimator said 2000 for the whole job. Sounded good. I called and asked the receptionist/scheduler if the estimate was accurate or if there would be an attempt to re-negotiate the price because the estimator felt it could take two days on the palm. I was told no. I scheduled the work for 1/24/14. The estimator called me back and said that his boss (David?) had driven by my house looked the tree over (its in the backyard) and said that it was under bid. The estimator said that 2800 would be the new bid for the removal. I have had other bids that were in this range as well so I was not really surprised by price. I feel that I gave the company an opportunity to re-bid before I scheduled the work. I am not sure if this may have been deliberate to eliminate other competitors or if the estimator really didn't know what would be a fair price. Regardless, I don't do business that way. I did cancel the work rather than hassle the price. The estimator was congenial as well as apologetic for his initial estimate and the need to re-bid.

We really love them. Their prices are reasonable. They are always on time and efficient during the appointment. They always clean up well after themselves. Scheduling goes smoothly. Sometimes four people come out to do the work and it usually takes about an hour to complete.

Matt & crew of 4 removed a 65 foot palm tree in three easy cuts and lowered each section by crane into a bin where it was cut up. Stump was ground out 2ft deep. Great cleanup job, and all done in 1.5 hours. Great job, guys.

I found out that if you want David, you have to pay extra for him to come out to the site and supervise.

The crew arrived on schedule, and all work was done according to plan. I felt the pricing was fair and the work and cleanup accomplished professionally. Will definitely utilize David's Tree Service for my trimming needs in the future.

Overall the service was performed well. The cleanup could have been better and the workers could have been a little more delicate with the surrounding areas. However, the price was good and I would consider having them back again.

Called David's Tree Service to provide an estimate for removal of several mid-sized trees and shrubs in both the front and back yards. A day to provide the estimate was scheduled. Brian, the estimator, was running a little late due to traffic and had the professional courtesy to call and let me know of the delay. He was very professional and knowledgeable of the various landscape items that I requested to be removed and provided an itemized estimate for all the work requested. I thought it was a reasonable estimate and called the office the same day to schedule the work. The office scheduled me in the same week and Guss and his crew showed up at the expected time. Professional and courteous, they got right to work and within 2.5 hours, the work was completed. Work quality was good and all debris was cleaned up and hauled away. i wouldn't hesitate to use them again for other landscape service.

I called on Mon, got a very fare estimate on Tuesday and work completed on Thursday. Trimmed 4, 30' tall queen palm trees that had never been trimmed. I was very satisfied with the work and the crew were fast and really knew what they were doing, I will use them again and would highly recommend them.

the bid was issued by an Arborist, and the bid was absolutely fair, and the most inclusive of the four i received from Angies List members. The difference from those local services were the week plus start date for service.. something about the bid of Davids Tree Service was different. the bid was explanatory, and absolutely clear and complete. unlike other bids, Davids Tree bid was strightforward, leaving no room for dispute. all other bids seemed incomplete and could have resulted in additional costs. when you spend thousands on tree trimming, extras are a problem, these guys are professional, clean and fearless. when you find service providers who perform and do so comptitively, you cannot go wrong, i will use them next time i need tree service

The estimate was professional and reasonable in price. I could tell I had trust in this company by their knowledge and pictures of work they had performed. David's crew all met me at the door right on time a few days later. We went around the yard to review what was on the contract and to answer any questions they may have. They were ready to go and had all of their up-to-date equipment to get the job done. They immediately started work as this was going to take the entire day. Their work was very organized and professional. I said that the large canary island pines they trimmed looked like a work of art. It did not have the look as if they had just been just trimmed but so much was removed. They look very healthy. They stayed until everything was clean and made sure I was satisfied. I will definitely use them again.

Everything about their work from estimate to having the work performed was done correctly and on time. They worked hard and cleaned up perfectly.
