Very bad experiences with the David's Tree Service studio.youtube.com/video… It happened twice in 2019. Once was in Feb and again in Aug. Those are the video recording in Aug. I installed my shed in late Jan 2019 and right after that they came to our community to trim trees. I witness they damaged my shed so I told the workers to contact me. They never did. So a few days later, I called the company. David came to checked the roof damage and saw how the shed roof was damaged (photos link at below photos.app.goo.gl/bt7B1x… He told me he would get back with me. He never did. I called the company and left him messages several times, but no answers. Very unprofessional and irresponsible company and people. They don't care about your safety nor personal property. They only take big blanches and left my back yard in a mess. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

They do a nice job. They came removed the tree to my instructions and cleaned up after themselves. I have a steep slope and they didn't do any damage to my plants and didn't leave any debris.

I am more than pleased with David's Tree Service. Everyone at DTS was very professional. Matt came out to give me a quote on what I wanted done. He had excellent suggestions for one of my huge palms which I hadn't realized could be done and wrote precise notes on what I wanted done on each tree. He is a true arborist! When Christian and his crew came out to do the work, they did exactly what I had expressed to Matt. The palms looked better than I could have imagined. They were quick, precise, and cleaned everything. I will definitely use DTS in the future. I trust them 100% to do a wonderful job. Thank you, DTS!

Contacted the company to provide an estimate to trim trees in my backyard to code. Company advised that someone would be at my house between 10am-11am on March 4th and would email me a quote as my code enforcer allows until March 18th to correct the issue of my trees hanging over the public sidewalk. Friday came and went and I heard nothing from the company in regards to follow up or a quote. I called the office "again" on Monday and the same lady seemed confused on if they even showed up or why I haven't received a quote. She stated she would get it figured out and call back. 2 days later and my call was never returned. My review is directly to the level of customer service and lack of professionalism. I have lost 9 days in my process as I relied on the company to do what was stated.

Response to inquiry was quick. Estimate delivered on inspection. Able to schedule work in a timely manner. Crew was on time, professional and considerate! Everything was cleaned up and furniture was back in place. Work took less than 2 hours! I would definitely recommend this company! Can't say enough about the great work crew!

I was completely satisfied with this company. A day after giving an estimate, they had an opening and showed up right on time. There were four employees and they had all the correct equipment to do the work. The cactus had totally gotten out of hand and was over twenty feet tall with a huge trunk and many arms. You have to really know what you're doing to deal with this type of plant. They spent many hours removing the cactus and then used a stump grinder to remove three large stumps. They have insurance (including liability), are bonded, and have workmen's comp. I will definitely call them again for future work.

Arrived right on time with an experienced crew of 4. They used a very heavy duty "chipper" to grind the palm parts. Also had a large a powerful gas powered stump grinder. They left the site clean and got it done in less time than estimated. They were careful not to disturb any underground utilities or damage any part of the buildings of fences.

Matt was the service technician who came out for the appointment. He was punctual and communicated with us prior to his arrival. He was very knowledgeable about the trees we had questions about. Even though we didn't use this company's services (Since it was not necessary at the time), we will definitely contact them at a later date to provide trimming and landscape maintenance. Pricing was kind of on the high side. The $150 was for a service call which would be absorbed if any further work was to be done.

They showed up on time as promised, got to work promptly , and had everything they needed with them. One tree was very large and the branches and trunks couldn't be allowed to roll down the slope, after cutting or they would have landed in my house. Gus and his crew did a masterful job of tree removal with ropes and ect. and no damage was done. They worked hard all day. When finished they cleaned up completely. This is the 2nd time I have done business with David's tree service and have been completely satisfied with the work they have done for me. I plan using their services in the future to maintain my yard.

They said tech came out but never rang door bell. Then said they would callback to reschedule another appointment and they never called me back. They totally messed up on the appointment.

A great experience. David's sent out a professional to evaluate my tree, make suggestions and to quote me a price on trimming the tree. This was a very old, very large tree in my front yard. It was full of dead pine needles and branches crossing each other. He told me what the crew would do and gave me a fair price for the amount of work needed to be done. The crew arrived and never stopped until the job was completed which took over 6 hours. And, what a wonderful job they did. They professionally trimmed the tree, got rid of all the dead needles and left the tree without ruining the shape of the tree. They cleaned up the area before leaving. All and all a wonderful job.

We had 5 Pittosporum Silver Sheen shrubs/trees in our back yard that were looking poorly after a fourth year of drought. I called David?s Tree Service to come out and see if any of them could be saved and to see about replacing those that couldn?t. I was happy that when I called, an actual person answered the phone and made an appointment. Matt showed up right on time on the scheduled day. After looking over the trees, he explained that bark borers were killing them off. One was already dead and a second was close to dead. Matt said that the others would eventually go the same way. This was not a surprise to me. I only wondered why the company that had trimmed them just four months ago had not noticed the issue, even after I mentioned that the drought had really done a number on them. I liked the fact that Matt was easy to talk to, listened to my concerns, as well as my wishes of what to do next. Eventually my husband and I decided to go with the Carolina Cherry trees which Matt recommended. They were on our association?s list of approved trees to be planted 3 feet away from the wall. We had to submit an application to the association and then wait for the next board meeting. In the meantime, Matt responded to numerous emails answering questions I had. And when we received a decline from the association (they didn?t like the trees we chose from their approved list!?!), Matt was almost as disappointed for us as we were. In the end, we decided to not go through the tree approval process again and went with Italian Buckthorn shrubs, which would give us good screening as well as being drought and disease resistant. And since they are shrubs, the association didn?t need to be consulted. Matt immediately went to work contacting wholesale nurseries to find shrubs in 15 gallon containers. He wanted to be certain that they already had a good start and that they were not root-bound. It took nearly a week to locate the shrubs, because it was a little early in the season and most nurseries only carry 1-gallon or 5-gallon plants. Once Matt found them, the work order was signed, and his office called to make an appointment for the following week. The morning of the appointment Matt and his crew showed up right on time. He made sure that everyone was clear about what was needed to be done before he left. The crew worked very carefully and efficiently removing the five 20 foot trees. They could have easily broken or damaged something in our yard or our backyard neighbor?s yard. But it was obvious they knew exactly what to do in order to remove the trees safely. After that, they removed the stumps. Then they placed the shrubs according to my directions. There was some confusion, because when I said to put the shrubs 4 feet apart, they measured from the edge of one container to the next. I meant from one trunk to the next. As soon as they realized something wasn?t right, one of them rang the doorbell and asked me to come out. We quickly were able to straighten out the confusion. A little while later the doorbell rang again. This time they had discovered a vertical drain pipe which had been buried from the time of installation because it wasn?t tall enough to reach the surface of the yard. It was a good 15? short and right where the first shrub should go. We decided to block the drain pipe with a rock from my dry stream bed and move the first shrub over 3 inches to avoid it. Once the shrubs were in place, they asked me to come out again to make sure that they were facing exactly the way I wanted them to be. I really appreciated that the crew consulted me at every turn and didn?t just make decisions without consulting me. We are very happy with the results. The shrubs look great and are perfectly spaced. And I was impressed with everyone I had contact with, from the office personnel, to Matt, to the crew that did the work. We are so happy with David?s Tree Service that come fall we will have them take over the pruning of our other trees. They are so much more responsive than the company that has been trimming our trees for the last 13 years. Something tells me that they would have alerted me to the issue with the Silver Sheens and wouldn?t have just gone ahead and trimmed 5 dying trees. I have complete trust in their willingness to put our needs first.

I have a magnificent Chinese Elm tree that spreads like a giant canopy over my backyard. The tree is more than 90 years old and add incredibly beauty and value to the property. I wouldn't dream of letting anyone else trim or care for this tree. David's Tree Service has been doing the annual printing and thinning for several years now. It is important, with a tree like this, not to just start whacking back limbs. The team thins and prunes so that it keeps it's natural shape. During high winds a couple of years ago my next door neighbor lost half of his Chinese Elm... It was never thinned or printed. My tree survived with minimal damage! I have since learned that they also take care of all the trees at the company where I work!

I initially contacted this firm because I wanted an arborist to evaluate two mature trees which appeared to be dying. After further research, I decided that an arborist wasn't needed because the trees were obviously beyond help. I rescheduled for removal of the two 40 ft high birch trees. The estimator was actually an arborist, and confirmed my suspicions. The removal a week later was done very neatly, with no damage to nearby plants, and all debris was hauled away. I would certainly recommend them.

The company was prompt in sending Mat out to evaluate the problem and he assured me it would be no problem and would not take a lot of time. I asked when he could do it and since it was a quick job, he would drop by and do it when they were in the neighborhood. I agreed to this as no internet problem appeared very often (yet) but as the tree grew, I called and asked if it could be taken care of soon. I was given two optional times, both alittle inconvenient but I chose one. Matt was on time, was courteous and did the job immediately, cleaning up the severed branch right away. I think I will use them again, if needed.

Arrived on time, had all the necessary equipment. Went right to work and go the job done right as I was promised. Cleaned up after themselves each day, left my house and yard clean and neat.

Excellent. The team was on time. I had two palm trees in my side yard that needed to be removed. One tree was apx. 3 stories high and the second three was at least four stories high. I had the tallest tree in Costa Mesa. The team worked at a good paace. THey cut the trees down in sections using a crane. Then they ground out the stumps and dug about 2 feet down to remove some of the roots. They filled in the holes with dirt and cleaned up the area so that it looked great. I shopped around and the prices were very close. David was slightly less in cost but his team did a great job.

Came out promptly to give an estimate. The estimate was fair; office staff called promptly to schedule the work to be done. The project was to trim and shape trees and to apply some growth hormone to the soil. The tree trimming was performed well and safely. However, the workers were using some pejorative language in Spanish in front of me, which I guess they thought I couldn't understand. I would have rated the professionalism higher had it not been for that. Also, the arborist forgot to bring the soil treatment and had to return to complete that at a later date.

They were good. It was a satisfactory service. I'm still waiting on a certified arborist report from them but I think I'll eventually get it. I'm satisfied with their service. They did a pretty good job.

They came out and gave a quote that was just under the other quotes we received, so we decided to go with them. It was a team of four guys that came out. They arrived on time and immediately went to work. I didn't keep track of how long it took them to finish the job, but it wasn't too long. We noticed after they left one of our drainage covers was broken right in the area where they were dropping the palm tree pieces (very large), but I think it will be a simple trip to the home depot to fix it. One of the guys left one of his tree saws here, and we called to notify the company that it was here. About two weeks later the saw is still on our porch, so I think I may have gotten a free tree saw out the deal. Good experience, would hire them again.

The person that came out to do the estimate was very knowledgeable about trees. He knew what kind of trees they were, how they grow, what they tent to do and he was a certified arborist. He has been trained for many years.
