David's Tree Service

I called the company to get an estimate on various tree and shrub removals and maintenance on my property. They were able to make an appointment in a bout a week and were punctual and efficient. Later I hired them to remove a pepper tree and a few overgrown shrubs on my property. They had a $300 minimum so I wound up adding a few extra shrubs for removal but they did a good job on the work, especially the tree -- they got the stump completely out and most of the surrounding large roots. All told I'm satisfied.

Called one day; they came out the next day and provided an estimate; work done the next day. Haul away and clean-up was exceptional, including debris that fell into my neighbors' yards.

We had a morning appointment set up for an appraisal. That same morning they called and canceled. We reset another morning appointment for the next day. On the second attempt at an appraisal, they called the morning they were supposed to show up and canceled it. I cleared my schedule to be home both days in the morning for these estimates. I'm grateful they demonstrated their customer service before I attempted to have them to do any work. They seem to be either overwhelmed with business or not focused on customer service. Regardless of the reason, I would choose someone else to use.

The team arrived early, was professional, polite, and communicated expectations very clearly. As a team, they took direction from the team leader very well and everyone worked together to get all aspects of the work done. This job took six hours and the team could not have been better at their work - they were efficient and very well trained. There were a few issues around some of the tree roots and sprinkler systems: these were communicated to me promptly and resolved to my satisfaction. One of the most amazing parts of this service (aside from watching them quickly take down the trees) was their dedication to leaving the yard as orderly as it was when they arrived. The clean-up was phenomenal! I would (and have already to my neighbors) recommend David's Tree Service - they were terrific to work with.

David's Tree Service gave me a professional quotation, set a date and performed the work as detailed in their proposal. The crew were professional, pleasant and easy to communicate with. They did a superb job including cleanup. I defiantly recommend David's Tree Service

They were very professional and highly coordinated. They were constantly moving and multitasking in my yard getting both projects done. They were very neat and left no physical mess.

Overall it was a very positive experience. They provided a detail written estimate and performed to it for the agreed upon price.

They showed up on time, did not rush, and did a pretty good job. Everything went well overall, but they didn't have to get rid of as many oranges as they did. I will likely use them again though.

Dave came out as agreed on Friday and gave me a written estimate of the cost on the spot. Dave was very knowledgeable in tree types and suggested how the trimming should go. Since it was about what I thought it would be I agreed. He immediately scheduled the service for Monday. I was not there during the trimming but my tenents were there. They called and said they were extremely pleased with the results and the professionalism of the crew. I later checked and can say I am very pleased at the results.They completed the entire job in half a day. I would definitely use Dave's for any future tree service.

Excellent. The estimate/price was comparable to previous work. The crew was professional and through in setting up the work area and in their final clean-up. At the start of the work I requested that they be as careful as possible in preventing the falling fronds from damaging the plants near the base of the trees. The worker doing the topping, very carefully, trimmed each frond and tossed it to an open space where no damage occurred. I was impressed and appreciated his efforts.

Excellent. Called Tuesday, received an estimate on Thursday, trees gone on Friday. Their arborist Darren was pleasant and knowledgeable. In addition to providing an estimate for removing the palm tree ($500) and the ficus ($100), he was able to identify two mystery fruit trees in the yard for us. He noticed that the magnolia tree had been incorrectly pruned in two places, and added the pruning of two branches to the work order at no charge. The next morning, a crew of five completed the work in under three hours. They were professional and left an extremely neat work area. All tree debris was removed and the driveway and walkways swept clean of all sawdust. The palm tree was right next to the house, and the crew had worked carefully to make sure that the house wasn't touched by any tools or debris. In addition, the palm tree had rested atop a low brick wall, and they had been careful to not damage the brick at all. I will absolutely hire them again for future tree work.

Both communications and work were outstanding.

Was very prompt in coming out to make estimate. He came in the afternoon and said he could get the job done that same afternoon. The crew came and did an excellent job very quickly. I was very pleased with the results.

A very responsive and professional company. Darren the estimator was prompt and was able to schedule the work the same day. I was not home when the work was done. I was very pleased with the job when I arrived home. The shrubs were very large, they were been trimmed back, thinned out and look the best they have in years. The stump was ground and the hole filled with mulch. The clean-up was so thorough that it was not possible to tell that any work had been done that day. The bid was higher than another service, but I was impressed with dealing with an office, not an answering service and the prompt service. I would use this service again.

It was a big job and involved a lot of hauling. They were able to do all of the work in 3 days. Things turned out well; my wife and I were both satisfied with the results.

fantastic! A few days after my initial call, Darren looked at the 3 trees to be removed and gave a very reasonable bid. He then said he could do the work that afternoon. The crew did a nice job cleaning up. Couldn't even tell they or the trees were ever there. I called during the job and added a shrub to trim which they did, no problem. The thing I appreciate most is when I asked about trimming an enoumous pine tree, Darren explained that this kind of pine didn't need trimming and was perfect as is.

They're careful with my yard, as I have a complicated yard and they;re very reliable in terms of being careful with my plants and taking time to trim my trees in a professional fashion.

Large crew showed up on time and performed all contracted work in a neat and timely fashion. We were quoted what we feel was a very fair price for the amount of back breaking work involved. We would definately use them again.

David was prompt and polite. His crew completed the task in a timely manner and did all that was agreed to. There was no mess left behind. Very satisfied.

David walked the job with me to complete the estimate and discussed options for some questionable areas. I appreciated that he indicated the areas where it would not be suitable to perform the trimming at this time and to wait for more growth and maturation on the shrubs before trimming. Office staff called to schedule work and David himself arrived with the crew to supervise the entire job. I appreciated this aspect in particular because I felt more confident that the job would be completed to my expectations. It was.

Company is very well organized. Price was very fair. They removed some tree stumps for me. Unfortunately on the biggest stump, they weren't very thorough on removing the surround roots, even 6 inches below the tree. I ended up paying my gardener $75 to dig out the roots before replanting new plants. I would use the company again, but check their work carefully.

I contacted this company based on the Angie's list feedback and that I like to support local (Huntington Beach) business. Phone was answered by an actual person (nice!) who had an estimater out the next day. As I had done this before, I knew the general price so when the estimate came in as reasonable, I agreed. The next day, the office called me to schedule the actual job, which was two more days out. Overall, I felt this was an excellent turnaround time. The crew showed up in the middle of their time window. All were dressed the same in company shirts. The lead spoke very good English (no value judgement here, but that sometimes can be an issue). He re-reviewed with me the job and then they started working. The job took about 45 minutes. The trees were exactly what I expected and my yard was immaculate. They even were careful enough to clean up the street and sidewalks where they had left bits of debris during the haul out. I called right after they left, again a real person answered the phone, and paid for the job with a credit card. Overall, great experience.

The experience was superior! After interviewing a couple of other local service providers, we were pleased with David's Tree Service. Darren arrived on time for the proposal and provided a written proposal detailing costs and details of the work. He was professional and clearly explained the process. We decided to go forward with the work. On the day of the job, the crew (at least 6 people) arrived on time and completed the job on time and in an excellent manner. The team was polite and made sure that we were pleased with the work before leaving. We highly recommend this company.
