If you want it done right, call these guys. We had our contractor perform an asbestos removal that was supposed to be performed by an experienced subcontractor, but it was a total disaster. Synergy saved us. They performed a very thorough cleaning of our garage and even caught some asbestos that was missed. They also cleaned out our room. They came on short notice and started when promised. There was a little hiccup on the duct cleaning and they went above and beyond to rectify the situation. If they have one weakness, it is following up after the initial cleaning, primarily regarding removal of the air purifier. But all in all, they get things done correctly, which is what's really important. Besides, it's not necessarily a bad thing to have a few bonus days of air purification.

Synergy Co were good. Their price was better than the other companies that we were looking for and they were able to do the job. All I wanted was them to remove the roof and they did it in an efficient and fast way. They did it all in one or two days so it was pretty quick. We did it on a Monday and we were back in the house on Tuesday night. We would recommend them. Their price was right. My husband dealt with them and he didn't complain about them. I was very happy with them.

They came in and we weren't in the house yet and they just did the work for them. They did the work very well. They came in and did it, cleaned up and left. They did a good job.

The estimator that came out was very professional and personable. Scheduling the job was handled efficiently. The crew that did the actual work were pleasant and competent and the job was completed in the time frame given. We did find a few small spots of loose lead-based paint after they left that we needed to remove before painting the garage wall. All debris was taken from the site.

As I recall, it went very well start to finish. Sorry for not rating them until now.

Synergy scheduled an estimate and arrived on time. They e-mailed an estimate with a contract and other pertinent documents the next morning. Signed it, faxed it back and scheduled the work. They were the lower of two estimates. I had used the other company on another occasion. Two employees showed up before 8 a.m. and worked a long day to remove vinyl floor laid over particle board. The asbestos-laden glue was sandwiched in the middle. They nicked a couple of kitchen cabinets and dented the sheetrock at baseboard height in one spot, but that's acceptable considering the job. I would have liked a call the Friday before confirming their arrival time; I figured they'd probably arrive around 8 a.m. I also hadn't received an invoice in the mail before the work was done so that I could send the payment with the crew as I had understood would be the process. Not a big deal. I sent the check based on the signed contract. Bottom line: Good work and good experience. The way it should be.

We called Synergy for asbestos abatement in our condo. Tyren came out the next day to give us an estimate on a Friday. My husband had been calling him all weekend, waiting for an estimate, that he said he would be able to give us Friday afternoon. He never got back to us. We were about to use another company as we were on a time crunch to get our condo ready. But Monday morning, we heard from Tyren. Estimate was reasonable and they were able to get started on the work next day. Asbestos guys came in Tuesday morning, right at 8am. Got started immediately to cover up everything. They came back Wednesday for the actual abatement, right on time again at 8am. They got done pretty quickly, before 5pm. Ceilings looked good. Thursday morning, I was expecting the drywall guys (different crew from asbestos guys) to come on time at 8am. However, they didn't make it till 11am. I understand there's traffic and things happened. A courtesy phone call would have helped. The guys were really nice though, so couldn't be too upset. They refinished our ceilings. I believe they had to take an extra day. So the job was a 4 day job, rather than the 3 days. If the job gets done correctly, can't blame 'em for the extra day. They used "knock down" to refinish the drywall. However, the next day, parts of the ceiling started to crack in some spots. It wasn't horrible but I wouldn't be able to live with it. I believe the issue was that it was painted with ceiling paint and the knock down finish wasn't dry yet and there was some moisture in our condo and outside during this time. This added to the cracking. My husband called Synergy to let them know. The project manager, I believe his name was Ron, came to take a look at it. He was very courteous and apologized for it. He said he'll send his drywall guys out again to fix the problem. And as a thank you/apology, they agreed to remove the asbestos that was left in our heater vents at no add'l cost, which we couldn't get cleaned by our HVAC guys because of the asbestos. We were told it will take about two days to fix and finish the job. Same drywall guys came and just as nice as the last time. They brought some heavy duty heaters to help dry up everything properly. They were able to get the work done within one day, instead of the two days. All looked great!! No cracking! Overall, they got the job done and were true to their word. Although, they were extra days added to the job and set us back with our move-in date and all the contractors working in our home, it was all worth it.

Synergy was engaged as a subcontractor by the company performing our furnace replacement. Didn't show up at the agreed time and had to have the furnace company chase them up. Once the guys were onsite though they were courteous and professional. Missed a spot in one area and had to return to clear it up before the furnace replacement got underway. Overall not bad.

They gave me the best quote by far, came on time, did the job within the time frame they had indicated. Everything went perfectly well !

We bought an older house with some asbestos encapsulated ducting ontop of the furnace and since furnace was in a closet next to the kids room, we wanted to have someone look at it. The estimator came out and advised that on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being deadly dangerous, this was probably a 1 but if we really want it out of there, he will send us an estimate. The estimate came a couple of days later and since it was not too much money, we went ahead with the removal. The removal crew came out on time and consisted of 2 guys, both professional and courteous. They sealed off the section of the house and after the work was done, got a called from them, went back to take a look and everything looked clean, so I am happy with the work they did.

Synergy estimator was punctual and friendly, and provided the estimate within a day. The company was able to schedule me at short notice for removal of my kitchen floor that contained asbestos. The workers were on time, clean and very clear with me concerning what would happen and how long it would take. The work was quick and they left my kitchen very clean. The cost seemed high, but I knew that asbestos removal is expensive. I was happy that they provided me with verification that the debris had been properly disposed. I would absolutely recommend them to my friends.

They did a great job and were very efficient. The only issue was that it took an extra day due to the extend of the job. There were no extra costs involved.

The quote process was fine but I got a better price from somebody else so decided to go with them. The company seemed pretty reputable and they are fine to work with.

We engaged Synergy to do asbestos and lead testing on our house before it was to be demolished on recommendation of our contractor a month and a half before we were supposed to demo the house. We scheduled an appt for testing at our house with Peter Landry. When the initial appt arrived, he did not show up but did call to reschedule for the next morning. He was 2 hours late the next morning, never bothering to call to let us know the new schedule. When he arrived, he was not actually doing any testing, just walked through the house to survey the overall layout and told us that he would need to bring in a sub to do the testing. Over the next 2 or 3 weeks, we placed numerous calls Synergy in an attempt to schedule this, never receiving a call back from Peter (their staff would defer to him for this for some reason). About 3 weeks of unreturned phone calls and calls from our contractor to Synergy on our behalf, 3 weeks after we started talking to them, the tester came, and the process was repeated for the results, again never being able to get a hold of Peter. Prices for testing were not communicated and we thought this was all part of the removal process. This turned out to not be the case (but I chock this up as our fault for not inquiring with the staff at the office). Once the results came in, the removal scheduling went smoothly. However two days before the appt, I received our J number from the BAAQD and the demo dates were listed to be starting two days after the date that Synergy was to come remove the asbestos. The form also noted that we would be subject to fines if any demo happened outside of these dates. Because of this, I tried to get in contact with Peter to verify they had a permit with BAAQD covering their work and if they did not, to request to schedule for any available time once our permit would be valid. Again, I received no call back to multiple calls that day and the next. I did finally receive a call back from Mr Landry when I called the office the morning of the scheduled removal, a morning that I had called and told the staff at his office that I would not let the crew in until this matter was settled. He said they had a permit - though I have no idea if this was true or not (his staff said they they do not usually pull permits for interior work because it is not considered demolition or something along those lines). With assurance in hand (or in ear I guess), I let the workers in. They did a fine job, working around radiators that were still on the walls without damaged them and removing all drywall and insulation. They left the area clean. The plastic was still in the house and they could have communicated that it would be left so that we knew they were finished that evening. This should be the end of the story, except that during the demolition, a neighbor called the city worrying about lead paint. The city then in turned called me and my contractor. When I went to get the report detailing that no lead paint had been found, I noticed that the report did not make mention of any lead testing. A call to Synergy revealed no lead testing had been done as Mr Landry did not think that this was a concern as we had freshly painted the house a few years ago (locking in any paint flakes). Whitout testing results, the city has turned our demolition compliant over to OSHA who our contractor is now spending his time dealing with and should they not be satisfied, OSHA has told the contractor that the matter could be handed over the EPA. Peter Landry has been nice enough to write a letter explaining why he did not feel lead testing was necessary.

Did a good job of taking out all the old duct work including the asbestos wrappings. Cleaned up completely after themselves and also tested the air quality to check for any airborne contaminants. Send us full reports of the air testing and full certifications once the job was done. Very professional and thorough.

This company was sub-contacted out by ABC heating and cooling for the heating duct removal. They arrived on time and did a very professional job. Cleaned up thoroughly after that job and made sure that all the ducts were sealed tight. They completed the removal work in 4 hrs and were done ahead of schedule. They disposed off he hazardous asbestos based on EPA guidelines. We got a letter from the waste disposal agency informing us of appropriate material disposal.

Very professional, clean, on time, everything was up to par. Great experience!

The took my kitchen down to the studs, including demolishing and carefully bagging and hauling away all material. I was very pleased with how quickly Peter responded to my questions and how efficiently his team did the work. I would not hesitate to give t\hem and the company my highest recommendation."

The Synergy team was very prompt and professional. They did the required work and some extra tasks for no added cost. They clean up all debris that was lying under my house, too.

They were responsive, their quote was reasonable and they were recommended to me by another contractor. They were excellent.

It worked out fine. Their prices were better than any other estimates. They do everything from mold, lead, and asbestos abatement to general cleanup. They did a good job. They do all types of work. There was a little bit of a delay. They sent a tiny van to pick up everything, and we had to wait for them to come back the next day with a bigger truck. My overall experience with them was good. I would use their services again in the future.

They seemed to do a good job. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. They showed up on time. The work was clean. We felt comfortable with them doing it. We have young kids. We felt they did a good job of protecting the house as they were doing the removal. We didn’t worry after they left. They were in and out in a few hours. We felt they did a thorough, careful job. They did what we exactly wanted them to do and we had no issues. We have had experience sometimes with companies where that was not the case. We would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

The entire process was seamless. They came to remove an haul away our old flue. The work was done by 2 men who kept the workplace extremely clean and we very fast.

First, the good part: it appears that Synergy performed solid work. And the rest: we scheduled them to remove the asbestos on the Thursday before we moved in. We did not receive a status update by 5pm, so we called and left a message. No response. On Friday we called again and the office said "work was in progress." By 5pm we did not receive an update and we left a message with their office requesting a call. Saturday arrived and we had not heard back, so we left a message for them to call in the morning. Hours passed and we left another, urgent message. Upon arriving at our house we found the room sealed, and no indication if the house was safe to enter. We left another urgent message. With our movers waiting at $100/hour we decided to brave entry. We still did not receive a callback. Finally reached them on Tuesday live and they said everything was safe and that they had the wrong phone number for us. Apparently they did not listen to the correct number that we left at the end of all of our messages. On the good side, the work looks good, and aside from the plastic seal that concerned us they cleaned up everything.
