Description of Work: Cleaned carpet well. Only one person arrived when two were promised. He didn't understand how angie list was involved and that we had prepaid. My caretaker had to move the furniture even though we made it clear beforehand that we were disabled and would need help. Not really happy experience.

Description of Work: I contracted with Carpet Wizard to clean my tile floors. When I made the appointment, I asked what other services they provided. I needed my windows cleaned, they said no problem, they could do that while at my home. The man who came out had no idea he was to do that. He cleaned my tile as expected and also got on my roof and cleaned two skylights. He had a cleaning service, but said the woman who did the work could not get on the roof. I was called that evening to confirm my window cleaning appointment on Friday, 4/3 at noon. I agreed. To make a very long story short, at 12:15 I called to confirm, they were going to look into it. There was a miscommunication and someone would be there promptly. After about two hours with several texts and phone calls, no one showed. I was even told at one point they were only 20 minutes from my home. I did have to go to my office for about an hour (I texted to company and told them to start outside) when I returned, no one was here. Lots more texting and voice mails to them, no response until early evening. They were sorry, but the person got lost and the woman I talked to was in a meeting and could not get back to me. I believe that was a total lie. Even though my tile looks great, I would never recommend them to anyone and I will not use them again. I am a very patient person and always give the company the benefit of the doubt, but, the fact that the woman knew how much I needed my windows cleaned and that someone was supposed to be "on their way", then she was conveniently in a meeting and the worker got lost, I just cannot stand that someone would lie. She should have been on top of this. She promised me someone would be out to clean the windows.

Description of Work: So I bought an Angie's List deal from Carpet Wizard to clean 3 rooms worth of carpets for $130.00. The problem was that they never responded to my email and the 3 dates I selected for the cleansing came and went with them as no-shows. So I went to their website and tried to call. The first number they had listed was out of service and the second went to voicemail, which was full and didn't let me leave a message. | |I called Angie's List Customer Service next, and wanted my money back. They were very nice and told me that of course I could get my money back, but would I like to have them try to get through to Carpet Wizard first? I wanted my carpets cleaned, so yes. Lo and behold, Angie's List got through and Carpet Wizard called and set up an appointment. | |Gus and Kevin were the two men who came out, and they were both nice guys. When Gus discovered that I had two area rugs and a hall runner that I wanted cleaned rather than wall-to-wall carpet, he told me that area rugs like mine are of much higher quality than standard wall-to-wall carpet, and the price for cleaning them was higher because if something went wrong they would have to replace the expensive area rug (I had no idea. I thought they would be happy to see that they had less work to do!)-- but he said he would honor the deal I had bought. Gus and Kevin got to work and soon my rugs were as clean as they were ever going to be after about 15 years of use and having never been cleaned before. | |Because of my difficulty setting up the appointment, I am giving Carpet Wizard a "D" for responsiveness. But because Gus and Kevin were here when they said they would be once the appointment was made, they get an "A" for punctuality.

Description of Work: They steam cleaned the carpet for a price I bought through Angie's deals. Gus was fantastic. He was late because of a malfunctioning truck and actually offered to give me a discount. The quality of the work was good with a few very minor shortcomings. I will use him again without any hesitation.
