 + 1 moreWe haven't had our carpets cleaned in 5 years and they were in bad shape. We were impressed by the other Angie's List user reviews and decided to give Carpet Wizard a try. We initially signed up for a 3-room deal for $130.00 then when he arrived (early!) we asked Gus for a bid for the whole house and was pleasantly surprised how fair and affordable the final cost would be, so we went for it. Gus did a great job, the carpets and area rugs look like new! He arrived early and finished the entire house in 3 hours. He's friendly, professional, and affordably priced. We'll definitely use him again.

 + 0 moreThe guy came and measured and got halfway down my hallway and said it was 300 feet to 3/4ths of the hallway and the other 1/4 of the hallway was $45.00 so I went ahead and told him I was going to have it remeasured so he dropped the price to $25 instead of $45. I did have someone else come out and it was only 316 square feet. Then the owner came out and measured and it was even less than what he measured. So, we just settled on $149. I was not happy. They had to come back a second time because they did not do a very good job. The owner said he has 2 areas, he has his area and another area. It was the second area that did the work and he didn't know that they were charging extra and stuff, but they didn't measure correctly. I won't use them again and I won't recommend them. I was so upset with them I should have said something. When the boss involved the responsiveness was okay. In fact, the kids came out first were kind of rude. They were supposed to be back at 8:00 the next morning. I had to call about 10:00 and they showed up around noon.
Description of Work: I used a big deal coupon with Carpet Wizard about a month ago for tiling and grout.

 + 0 moreThe owner of Carpet Wizard arrived on time, went right to work and did an excellent job. I was very impressed with his honesty. He actually apologized at how the counters looked when he finished because all the flaws were "laid bare" so to speak. It was precisely what I wanted so I would know what work had to be done. I don't think I've ever met anyone as honest as this man! He did an excellent job.

Description of Work: Paramedics had left two HUGE grease spots on our light beige carpet. I thought we would have to recarpet the house. Speaking with Gustavo on the phone was a pleasure and gave me hope. Martin arrived promptly (even a bit early) and was a true professional. Not only are the grease spots gone, all the carpet in the house looks revitalized. I felt that the price was fair, and the company exemplary. I like to use local vendors whenever possible to support our local economy. I am sure you will not regret using this vendor.

 + 0 moreThey responded to my Angie's list request for an estimate with a prompt email response. Calling back, it was clear I spoke with the owner, who was willing to give me a quote over the phone based on sq ft and number of rooms. The scheduling process was easy, and they were able to meet our timeline (several other companies were not, due to the holiday week). The guys who showed up to do the work, were right on time and very courteous. They honored the phone appraisal without question, only adding a reasonable amount for a couple spots that needed extra attention. The estimated it would take about 90 minutes, and they were right on the number. The house looks great -- fantastic job. I would highly recommend working with Carpet Wizard.
Description of Work: Full house carpet cleaning prior to stage for sale. Approx 1900 sq ft single story house, with 4 beds, hallway, living, dining and family rooms.

Description of Work: This company did a phenomenal job! We called at 9am on Sunday morning to see if we could get someone out same day to do a move-out carpet cleaning - they came just 3 hours later! He did a really great job getting the carpets cleaned. They were really bad, soiled and stained and they looked as good as when we moved in when he was done. He even spent extra time trying to get out one particularly bad stain. And the whole carpet cleaning (3 rooms, 14 stairs and a hallway) was just $160. When he was done he did 4 upholstered chairs too, for just another $40. When they dried with some lines still on them he came back asap, and fixed them. We were very satisfied with the service and price and quality of this company and will definitely use them again and recommend them to family and friends.

 + 2 moreCalled on Saturday, came out on Monday to give estimate, working that Friday. Showed up exactly on time with a helper to move most furniture (did not move beds or dressers at our request). Worked approx 3 hours and everything looked great. Used a little too much solution on tile which affected the moulding, but that is more of a builder problem

He is always friendly, helps me move furniture if necessary, and gets the stains to disappear for a good amount of time. He also gets my couches nice and clean. having 2 teens, 2 babies and a cat creates quite a lot of traffic in our small home, and Gus has the expertise to keep our carpets looking fresh and clean, and our furniture looking good as new!  + 0 moreDuring the last 18 months, I've been recovering from a serious foot injury and spent my recovery in a power chair. The chair tracked in all kinds of nasty from the streets of Oakland across the carpeting in my apartment. I am preparing to move and needed to do something about the staining so the landlord didn't charge me to replace the rug. I called and talked with Gus last week and sight unseen gave me an estimate of about $120. When he arrived we talked about the job at hand and I was not able to really tell him much about the staining. For a few minutes I was afraid he was going to turn down the work for concern of not being able to accomplish what I was asking given I couldn't tell him much of anything about the stains. Then we talked about steam cleaning versus dry cleaning and settled on the later. I went back to working and let Gus do this thing which apparently involves magic. About an hour later he asked me to take a look at his work and I am pretty sure the carpet looked better than when I moved in 26 months ago. It was a huge relief looking at what he was able to accomplish. Gus is a pleasant guy, professional and obviously knows his carpet. I would definitely hire him and Carpet Wizard again. Talking with my boss later, he mentioned they were looking to have their carpets cleaned because of a new baby in the house and I recommended Carpet Wizard without hesitation. Thank you!

Since my previous carpet cleaning guy retired early this year, I have tried several carpet cleaning companies, including the ones with high ratings on Angie's List. But so far, Carpet Wizard is the best among all. I consider using Gus for all my future carpet maintenance jobs. Gus did a great job cleaning the carpet. He is very professional and takes the pride in his work. After finishing with the carpet, he volunteered to help with fixing the door pad, without charging a dime. Description of Work: They were fantastic. Very polite, very service oriented, friendly, responsive to special requests. I called them to prepare high-end rental house for new tenants. My initial call to Gus was for carpet cleaning. I intended to call other providers for window cleaning and general house cleaning. Gus came to the house to give me an estimate. I ended up hiring his services for the whole house cleaning needs including window cleaning. He explained to me the detail work that will be done to clean the whole house. He stretched the carpet in areas that were no longer flat. The carpet looks great, even in the high traffic areas and stairs steps. The windows are very clean. It took 2 days to clean the whole house. The movers came before they can finish the hardwood floor so he suggested that I let the movers complete the moving and he would come back to mop the hardwood floors. He asked me to check the whole house and list areas that might have been missed. On his return visit, Gus finished the hardwood floor and cleaned the main door exterior. He also removed an abandoned bird's nest from the high eaves and hornet's nest by the slider door. He told me what to do to prevent the wasps from coming back. He gave me their card and said to call if I should notice anything I was unhappy with. Great follow up! I will absolutely use them again in the future and will recommend them to others. His original estimate was $900 but I offered him $950 plus tip for him and the window washer who worked with him on the second day and the follow up visit.
