We read a couple of reviews on electricians and found Ian to be one of the best rated. The reviews were very much on target. Ian spoke to me briefly and said he would call me to set up a time he could come by and look at what worked needed to be done. We needed an electrical outlet moved for a garage door opener and an exterior light installed. The day the garage door was being installed Ian came out from another job site and had the work done in about 15 minutes. He sent another worker out a few days later to install the exterior light. The work was done quickly and at a good price. Ian is very responsive and take a lot of pride in his companies work!

Ian was very professional. The job went smoothly, on time and at the quoted price. He pulled the permits and handled the final inspection. I was very happy with the work and would use him again.

The electrician replaced the corroded outlet with a new one with a cover, to prevent this happening in the future. What impressed me most was that once it was installed, it had no power, but when I showed the electrician the fusebox, none of the circuits were tripped. The electrician traced the outlet under our house to a fusebox by the spa -- a fusebox we didn't know existed -- and was able to reset the circuit. Also, instead of just replacing the outlet, he replaced it with a covered outlet, which should prevent this problem from recurring. We were very pleased with the service we received. We would definitely call them again.

Ian was very responsive: I called on a Tuesday afternoon, and had someone (Ryan) at my house at 8:30am Wednesday. He was punctional, professional, and fairly priced. He also took the time to explain what he had done, and what caused the issue. I would use again and reccomend to others.

Ian provided an estimate of work, suggestions on cost effective ways to repair fixtures and then returned to home on time and completed agreed work at a fair price. He was good at communicating solutions to our electrical problems.

Worker arrived on time, did the inspection, provided suggestions, came back andcompleted the work. All went well and as planned.

Two electricians arrived on time, assessed the problem, and immediately went to work. They replaced the old socket with an outlet box, ran conduit along the back of some cabinets and into the drawer space to a second outlet box, which they had installed. They were skilled workers and left no mess. From start to finish took just under an hour.

Yet another good experience with South Bay Electric: I called for an estimate on replacing two ceiling lights (one a chandelier) and 10 or 12 possibly non-grounded outlets in a 50-year-old house. A representative came out within a few days and, since I was happy with his quote for installing the lights ($75), took care of that on the spot. He also tested some of my outlets and talked to me at length about the pros & cons of replacing them individually and/or re-wiring the whole house. I felt he was very candid and helpful and will definitely call South Bay Electric for my next electrical job.

I spoke with Ian on Friday after researching and finding them on Angie's list. I explained to Ian what I thought needed to be done and we agreed that he would come over by 10:30 AM on Monday morning. He arrived exactly on time. I showed him where we were experiencing electrical problems and he spent about an hour doing the repairs. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional and the price was really reasonable for the work done.

I chose the So. Bay Electric from the very positive ratings on Angie's List. Arrangements were done over the phone. Ryan was here right on time and did a fine job.

Shaun always arrives on time and he is very pleasant. I'm always quoted a price beforehand so there are no surprises. They work quickly and always ask my permission if they need to drill or make changes. I trust South Bay Electric and I will continue to use this company for all of my electrical needs.

So. Bay Electric Co. is the bomb! Ian was very quick to call me back when I first inquired about his services. He was out of town for a few days but had two of his guys come by to do the work. Eric and Sean were very nice, and very talented electricians. They worked super fast but didn't miss a stitch. I was impressed and am so happy with their work that I look forward to my next electrical project so I can have them back! Now that's a good company. :)

I was experiencing problems with one of my outlets and there was some issues with the lights dimming in my house which caused some of my appliances to power down and then go into a "reset" mode. My garage door did not seem to get enough power at times to open properly. I called South Bay Electrical in the morning and Ian and his son came out that afternoon. I thought I'd be scheduling an appointment for a day or two later, so it was a welcome surprise to have them come out so soon. They checked the outlet as well as the appliances and the electrical box. They discovered the surge protector had burnt out and melted a hole in the device, but more importantly, they saw that the power voltage coming into my house was high and to call Southern California Edison. They told me what to report and a representative from Southern California Edison came out that evening. It turned out that my neighbor was also experiencing the same type of problems and there was a bad connection in the underground cables that needed to be replace. When asked how much I owed for his service call, Ian said to just buy him and his son lunch. It was a great deal!

I phoned Ian about 2pm to discuss evaluating the electrical work done by another contractor. As part of a bath and kitchen remodel I had just spent $2,200 in re-wiring costs. I wanted to make sure that the work the contractor said he performed was actually completed with reasonable quality. Ian said he had one of his men in the area who could check the work that same afternoon on his way back to the office in Gardena. Ian contacted the workman, explained what I needed and had his guy give me a call. The workman arrived at the house around 5:30pm and looked at the wiring. Ian called me about half and hour later to tell me that my contractor had done a quality job and I shouldn't be concerned. That was great news!! I really appreciated Ian's efforts to get the job evaluated so quickly. I would definitely call him again if I had any needs for an electrician.

They arrived promptly and spent some time studying the problem. I received much useful information to help me decide what to do.

Called a pool company, and they referred the issue to an electrician. I saw the wonderful reviews on Angie's list about South Bay Electric Company. I called South Bay Electric Company and spoke to Ian on Monday afternoon. He scheduled an appointment to look at our pool on Wednesday between 4pm -6pm. I really appreciated the 2 hour window. I didn't have to take an entire day off work to wait for a repairman to arrive. Ian arrived a few minutes early and was able to resolve the issue within 2 hours. He and his crew were friendly and efficient. I was very impressed with the work they did. The wiring to the pool is old and in desperate need of repair. Ian and his team were able to get the system working and gave a very fair estimate to get the entire system rewired. South Bay Electric are the only electricians we need. We are making a list of additional repairs and hope to call South Bay Electric again soon.

It was a pleasure dealing with this company.

This went very well! They showed up on time, completed the work professionally in a reasonable period, and consulted with me when questions or options arose. They cleaned up after themselves also, which is a big plus for me. I'd definitely use them again.

I was disappointed because he was very careless. He never returned my first call and I had to call him again. He then rushed over and saw a breaker sitting on the panel and I asked him if it were a good breaker and he said yes. Obviously it was not and caused a short in my tenant's apartment. I had to call another company to have a whole box put in. Not sure if I needed it but felt I had no choice at that point. He was very nice but the job went haywire.

Ian gave me a price and was able to do the job. He was able to do the job the way I had wanted. His overall experience allows him to see solutions to problems with older houses. Best of all he comes ready to do the job, not just give to an estimate, that because he'd rather not make two trips. Ian and his son were efficient and neat.

I read some reviews about this vendor, and thought they were almost too good to be true, but we needed a good, reliable electrician with industrial experience to replace our existing electrician who showed up when he wanted and seemed to always overcharge us. I called Ian and he called back almost immediately. He was probably on a ladder or he would have answered the phone right then. We arranged for him to come over and he showed up on time. I had him deal with our managers for the three jobs he did at our factory, and all of them were very happy. At that point I had him come to my admittedly high end condo, and he did an absolutely superb job putting wiring in the walls. When he had to make holes in the walls and ceiling they were as small as possible. I am recommending him to EVERYBODY I know, and he is now going to be THE electrician for our business and our homes. The reviews really were true. Ian (and his sons who work with him) are honorable, trustworthy, reliable, and respectful. They're also superb electricians, and good guys. Truly a superior vendor.

Mr. Marsh answered immediately and scheduled an appointment for later in the day. Within the next 45 minutes,he called back and advised that they could come over right now. I was very impressed and on arrival, he was polite, considerate and personable along with his son. He found the problem immediately and offered some recommendations for not having this problem in the future. He was in and out within 30 minutes. He also gave me a rough estimate for some other projects for the future.

They were prompt, and it was a father and son team which I liked. It wasn't a simple problem, but they were able to repair at a fair price. They also cleaned up after finished with the work and they were very friendly.

Ian was very creative in suggesting solutions that saved us money while still getting the job done.

South bay electrical is best in delivering what they promise. Ian and his boys (Shawn and Derek) were very professional and have stretched themselves to provide me an excellent service. They had done traack lights and other home electrical work and were meticulous in what they do. I would definitely reccomend everyone to utilize their services.
