Tito Alcaraz Painting & Repair Specialist

I needed the exterior of the house painted. I obtained three assessments/quotes for exterior painting on the house from three companies. Only Tito assessed the condition of the exterior of the house. The others assessed the painting job and when I pointed out to one that there was wood rot, his response indicated he did not fully understand the issue. Once Tito had identified the areas of the siding affected by wood rot, it was obvious to me that any painting without correction would be money down the drain.In additon, if the areas impacted were not corrected, the wood rot would extend. Although the work Tito proposed was much more extensive than that specified by the other companies, his quote was competitive in actual dollar numbers. His company carried out the work efficiently and cleaned up in the time that he had specified to me. They were pleasant and professional. Tito and his group were always punctual and he delivered on his commitments. I have worked with many repair men and painters over the years,some capable and others less so, but Tito's work is memorable by the superior quality service he and his men carried out.

Good job. It took more paint than I was originally told to buy, and I had to return to the paint store after the job had begun, resulting in some lost work time. Still, the paint job turned out well, and the bathroom looks great.

First, I was very impressed with Tito's professionalism when he came out to give me an estimate. He came exactly at the time he said he would. He also offered me an Angies list discount without me having to ask about it. His price was very fair compared to others I've seen. Tito's crew was just as professional and considerate. First of all, they were there each morning ON TIME which to me is a big deal. They were respectful of my home and protected everything. They cleaned up just as nicely. I wanted a few samples before they started to make sure of the color and they did that for me. They were doing a door in my bathroom and I requested if they had time if they would also do the trim in there which I didn't request on the estimate. They did it for me. They also put in a wood trim piece on a cabinet which was needed from a previous construction job (not theirs) and they did an amazing job with the wood trim and mitering, etc.. There was one thing which needed to be fixed (not their fault) and they came back right away without hesitation. Tito called me as soon as the work was completed to make sure I was happy. The customer's satisfaction is a priority to him. I can't say enough about how happy I am with the paint job. My house looks great and I would use them again in a heartbeat. In fact, I am going to use them in the very near future for my parent's house.

We bought a 3400 sq ft distressed house needing much work and TLC. When we finally got to the point where we were ready to paint, we got several bids. One was higher than Tito's and two were lower. We went with Tito because on the walk-through, he paid close attention to detail and pointed out some items that even we missed! I warned him that I am not easily pleased but he promised that I would be happy with the results. Jesus and Alex prepped for over a week before they started painting, paying attention to every detail. They were professional, helpful, and always careful. They returned for an entire day to touch up after our floors were installed. They left the work site clean and neat every day (major points scored). The inside of our house is beautiful!!! We will be painting the exterior in spring and have already recieved an estimate from Tito.

I believe it went very well. Tito and his crew were always on time - they started promptly at 7:00 and worked until late afternoon. I work at home mostly, so I was able to monitor the work - my understanding is most of the crew are members or extended members of Tito's family and I noticed how well they worked together - even noticing how they ribbed each other... kind of reminded me of a baseball team - kind of watching each others back. They were very professional, and their attention to detail is excellent. I'm really happy with the job and feel the money well-spent, which came very dear... but it was a long time coming and now my house is repaired/painted and looks sharp. And, did I mention Tito offered to come back in a couple of years for a free power wash and re-inspection of work...? Nice touch.

The quoting process was excellent. He made recommendation of what he would like to do. Everything was positive. I hired him because of his demeanor and professionalism. I got the best vibe from him. He's been in the business for twelve years. I also consider him because of Angie's List, he was considered an "A' and everything was positive. I hired him right away. I felt good with his quotes. So far the experience has been excellent.

I have used them three times. They were here for two weeks and they did a great job. I tried them a small job and they did a great job on a plastered wall as I kept getting cracks on it. They were the only company I hired and tried to do it that did it right and the cracks never came back which was a $500 job.

Painting job was fine, however, the tiling that this company did was sub-par. The grout that he used for the tiling was too dark and looks awful with the light tiles. The flooring is also not even. He promised to come back to fix it but never responded to my phone calls.

At $250 I hadn't expected to have to pay for supplies like plastic sheeting and painter's tape. I could have hired a guy by the paint store and paid much less. But the guy Tito sent out, Jay, was so great, my apprehension fell away once he began. Jay arrived early and began work immediately. If he was unnerved by the high ceilings (higher than he expected) he didn't show any upset and just got to work. Jay was friendly and listened attentively to the what we wanted. He even offered suggestions. There was a mistake over the work date, but Tito quickly made up for it by offering me an extra hour, which turned out to be necessary to complete the job. Overall, with the cost of paint and supplies, it was a little more than I wanted to pay, but the the area looks spectacular with no mistakes and perfect edge work. Also it was amazingly finished in just one day. Overall a good experience.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I think they were great, they gave me really good suggestions and I think they did a really good job. I thought the price was really good.

Tito and his team were fair, competitive, kind, and efficient. They also consistently accommodated my many requests without skipping a beat. "Would you mind...? "Could you also...?" The answer was ALWAYS yes, and I never felt pressured to revisit our original quote. Tito clearly becomes invested in the homes he works on. So much so in fact, that HE recommended that we allow him back to do touch-ups after our hardwood floors were installed. He wound up spending an entire additional day making sure everything was 'just right.'

I had to buy the paint and materials, like tape, plastic, etc. The work was done just fine except for a few spots that were missed.

Tito was quick in responding to our initial inquiry and arrived promptly the day we scheduled to have him come by to give us a quote. He gave us a verbal quote to prep and paint the exterior of our house, garage and shed: one color for the walls and one color for the trim. After receiving other quotes, we decided to use Tito's services, due to our discussion of how much prep was needed for our house, something other estimators neglected to discuss in detail with us. His quote was around the middle of all the estimates we had received. We contacted Tito 3 weeks after our initial consultation and we were a little surprised when he sent over a contract a couple of hundred dollars higher than the verbal quote, but still felt it was a fair price and agreed to continue. About a week later, the painting crew, led by Jesus, showed up promptly and got to work. Jesus and his team were very professional, taping down plastic to cover everything that needed to be covered and moving patio furniture to prep. The team worked very hard for 6 days and did a fantastic job of prepping all the wood windows and patching cracked stucco. We were required to buy and pick out our own swatches at Dunn Edwards for the paint. All total there were 4 days of prepping and 2 days of painting. It went smoothly. Jesus and his team were extremely hard working professionals and they did a great job.

They did some patch work outside of the house due to termite problems. Dug out dry rot, patched, and also did some stucco work They painted and they did a pretty good job.

Tito responded to the message I left quickly and professionally. He had a painter come out within a few days who did a very good job, and took care to not get paint on any of my furniture or items. He cleaned up before leaving and even went back around the room and painted the base color of the walls to give the room a finished touch.

Tito sent a painter who arrived promptly and did a great job. Great communication and was easy to schedule and contact Tito with questions. The painter did a thorough and quality job. Tito Alcaraz painting is highly recommended and I will be useing them again for my next painting project.

Tito's guy showed up on time and did a great job covering the 3 tasks at hand in the 8 hours available. No problems withj either of the three patch-up jobs from previous construction.

The enthusiasm and professionalism that Tito and his crew displayed never wavered, even under some challenging conditions such as several days of record-breaking heat. The crew was dependably on time, left the work areas cleaned up each day and asked appropriate questions to ensure our expectations were being met. My husband and I could not be happier with the work they did for us. Tito and his crew are pure gold and take the kind of care and attention to detail, that a fussy homeowner, such as myself, rarely finds anymore.

Before I purchased the Big Deal from TIto Alcaraz Painting for 8 hours of painting (for $223), I contacted Tito to find out what he would charge for additional time since I knew the work I had in mind would take more than one day. The interior walls had recently had wallpaper removed and there were some holes that needed to be patched and some areas that needed to be re-textured. Also, some of the walls were 16 feet high. Tito gave me a very fair price for any additional time that would be spent. I proceeded to purchase the Big Deal and contact Tito to schedule the work, He told me that he would try to fit me in over the following weekend, but made it clear that it was tentative and we would talk before then to firm up the date. I told him I was flexible since I work out of my house, and when we spoke again we decided instead to start the work on Tuesday, April 30. I asked him for his recommendation on paint, and then I proceeded to purchase the primer, paint, and a few other supplies. Jay showed up on time on Tuesday and proceeded to start the preparation work, making sure the floors and furniture were properly covered. I am usually satisfied if a painter is productive and puts in close to 7 hours of hard work during a day (or close to 9 hours out of a 10 hour day), and I have therefore been happy with painters I have hired through Angie's list in the past, But I have to say that nobody has worked harder than Jay and he gives you the full 8 hours that is expected, if not more. He did an excellent job, cleaned up after he was done, and helped move some heavy furniture (a piano). The walls look so much better now. Tito Alcaraz Painting provided a very personable painter who did high quality work at a very fair price. What more can one ask for? I learned that the company does other types of work in addition to painting, and I plan on hiring them again in the near future. I highly recommend them.

Purchased coupon, did not hear from provider. Waited 2 days, sent email but got no response. Needed immediate work, so finally called and they said they could not do the work for 2 weeks so did not use and requested coupon refund. UPDATE: Was not going to use them, but Tito contacted me and explained only one person was doing coupon work and was backed up. He will schedule me for next week, so I will re-purchase the coupon and give him another try, as he went out of his way to follow up and make good. UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Tito called again to firm up a day and said he would send me two painters and give me two coupons to make up for the original delay. We arranged for an 8 am start. He was more than gracious and more than fair. Alex and Jay arrived on time and were incredibly professional, thorough, pleasant, and efficient. They cranked it for 8 hours and finished up my kitchen, and got pretty far on the master bedroom that hadn't been painted in 30 years, and needed two coats of primer and a lot of prep and patching--they actually got to the first coat of the finish paint. The hallway wall was so bad it needed replastering, which Alex did and it looks like a brand new wall. Very impressed with this crew and with Tito's efforts to make good, so now I am changing the overall grade to an A. Since Tito went out of his way to make me happy, I think that counts for a lot. The bonus was a great painting job and a big boost to our 1950s home overhaul. We really needed that! Thank you Alex and Jay.

Again, this is not a review of the quality of the actual work Tito does. This review is to warn anyone considering using him for a discounted Angie's deal ...

Tito and his employees where right on time from day one. They came in assessed the work to be done, began demo and within less than 6 days it was all complete. I really appreciate Tito's fairness and understanding and cannot commend his staff enough. I am glad I listened to Tito's suggestions and did the flooring, I am so much happier and do not have to address this family room or the bath anymore.

Work was scheduled to start on Friday, but Tito called on Thursday to let me know another project was running late and they could either begin mine on Saturday or Monday. As I wanted to get the painting done as soon as possible, we settled on Saturday a 7 a.m. Tito's crew worked Saturday, and Monday through Thursday. All work including the additional items were completed during this time. Care was taken to protect the new carpet we had recently put down in the master suite. The work site was cleaned up each day. The new gate is beautiful and operates better than the original! Tito put us in contact with Glass Etc. to fix the front door pane. After we got the pane replaced, Tito sent someone out the day after I contacted him to touch up the front door and 2 small interior spots. The cracks are now unnoticeable. The walls and ceilings look great. Tito cares about the work his company does and understands about having a house make a good impression when it goes on the market.

Tito is a true treasure and unbelievable painter! I had used him 12 years ago to "spruce up" the entire inside and outside of my home before I moved in. I wanted a fresh coat of paint in and out as I knew that I would not be anxious to paint a furnished house again as quickly. Fast forward 12 years and with the original invoice in hand, I called Tito again. This time I needed a painter FAST as I was doing some extensive renovation and the painting needed to be done before the next phase of the project. I was in a time crunch and needed it done RIGHT AWAY!! Tito came right over, laughed when I showed him the last bill, and said while he could not match the price 12 years later, he would give me a fair price. Not only was the cost fair, his son (who tagged along 12 years ago with toys in hand while dad babysat), was the person that oversaw my new job, and started two days later. Now that is service!!! He promised he would work overtime and put extra crew on just to make sure the job was done on time. They took such care of my personal belongings as well as the new hardwood floors that were installed a few days prior by putting down plastic everywhere. I am extremely picky about contractors, and I can tell you with 100% certainty, you would not regret having Tito and his crew doing any painting project in your home.They are meticulous about masking everything off, not taking shortcuts just to finish, and cleaned up ever night before they left. I will be having Tito back this Fall to paint the outside of my home. Yup. it is that time again, but you best believe Tito is the one that will be doing it!

job was scheduled according to their schedule. they gave me instructions on what supplies to have ready. the painter arrived on time, started work right away, and worked. he didn't waste time, he didn't go outside for cell phone or cigaretter breaks, he just worked. he was neat and clean and professional. i RARELY recommend a company, but this one i can recommend. this guy did what he said he would do.
