He seemed professional and knowledgeable; however, I decided against taking on a project of that scope at this time.

The contractor's attention to detail was obvious from the start and throughout the project. It was also obvious that they knew what they were doing throughout the project. The few subcontractors that were brought in were excellent craftsmen and very personable. Throughout the project I was impressed with the contractors punctuality, how neat they left the worksite each day and most of all – the quality of the work The contractors were professional, always did what they said they would do and were great guys to have around. In summary, these guys DID A GREAT JOB!!!!

In general, the work performed was outstanding. Another plus is that all work described is performed by Mark Petersen, contractor, and associate Scott Burkholder. There is not a parade of subs going through house for each phase of the construction. From demo to finish installation Mark and Scott perform all work described. The job began with the demolition that included all walls and ceiling; and like most vintage houses there were suprises that were uncovered. This included repairing and replacing undersized ceiling joists, damaged wall studs, and streamlining the plumbing lines that appeared to be pieced together with unnecessary elbow joints. The job site through this phase was left clean everday with no sign of debri. Work began promptly at 7:00 am and concluded by 4:00pm. The bathroom was replumbed electrically and provisions were made for hot and cold water shut-off that kept the remainder of the house with running water through the entire construction phase. Just another example of attention to detail that the contractor Mark Petersen and associate Scott Burkholder performed always with their clients best interest and comfort in mind. After electrical and plumbing rough-in was completed, the bathroom was drywalled and ready for tiling. This is one skill Mark and Scott do not perform. But they called frequently to determine at what point the tiling was to be completed so that they were available immediatley to begin the final installtion. Mark and Scott returned as soon as it was ready to start the install of the crown molding, bathroom fixtures, lighting and custom cabinetry (mfgr by Mark and Scott). At the completion of this phase there was a final walk through of the job to ensure no loose ends were left undone. For a remodeling job this was as problem free as you can get. The additional repair work could not be determined until the demolition was completed but even there Mark and Scott had already given us a warning of the possible issues they may uncover. Mark and Scott will be our first choice for remodeling or custom cabinetry without hesitation.
