The provider has an ad of a big deal of $349 for installing an EV charger. Before purchasing this deal, I called and asked whether they would take a look at my house to see if $349 would be all they charge or some extra would be charged. Two technicians arrived and I showed them the electric panel, near which I would like to have the charger installed. The wiring distance was approximately 12 feet, which I thought would be OK since another company said that no extra would be charged if the wiring is less than 20 feet. The two technicians asked for 5 min private time so that they could talk it over, and came back and gave me a price of $650. I asked what was the extra over the deal price of $349 for, they said it was the wiring distance. They said that the $349 deal would cover only "back to back," about 2 to 3 feet distance between the panel and the charger. They also said that, if "back to back," they could only install the charger below the panel, which would be too low. However, there was still space next to the panel and within 2 to 3 feet to the panel. At this point, however, the technicians were no longer interested in looking at the panel and its surround, and were not interested in discussing with me any options. I didn't get the impression that they were interested in working with me to win the bidding. Instead, they appeared to be interested only in giving me a high price because of my ZIP code, and hoping that I would accept it. Update: We eventually used an electrician recommended by my neighbor, with a cost less than half what SDS asked. We are very happy with the job.

These guys e=were wonderful they installed a ceiling fan for us in the living room. The man was very professional and never looked confused of what he was doing. Thank you very much the fan looks great.

We found this company's ad on Angies List. 4 recessed lights installed for $299.00. seemed to be good price. Final total we paid is $475 for 5 lights, and to remove the 3 existing light fixtures. and pay other company $500 to put the ceiling back to condition. (1) The technicians who came were helpful, and completed the job. We are happy to have new recessed light. (2) watch for extra charges. they charge me $95 to take out 3 existing light fixture. A bit expensive. (2) they did not cover the work area well, only one piece of cloth, so the kitchen and the hall is all dusty. and the floor mat is ruined. (3) they made 2 large holes besides where the new light is. Now I find out I have to pay $500. for new ply wood to patch up the large holes & painting, (4) They said they will sent someone for patch work and give us estimate on the same date. But that did not happen. we end up hiring another company to patch up and paint. Overall is fine, but not like other contractor who will install, patch and clean all together. dd

The job went really well. Josh and his team were a pleasure and never stopped working even during the extreme heat wave we had during the project. They were there every day on time and always kept us informed about the progress and next steps. It was a big job for us, but they handled every aspect professionally. The pricing for our project was great. We would definitely us them again.

Incredible support by SDS. When our contractor told us last minute that we needed to move our gas and electrical outlet as part of our kitchen renovation, SDS did the work with less than 24 hours notice. Not only did they take care of the job on VERY short notice, but they were SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than what our general contractor wanted to charge....like 1/4 the cost. Thanks SDS...we'll definitely use them again.

Incredible. Second time I've used SDS and have been very impressed. Josh is the best and cares deeply about his work and customer satisfaction. He went above and beyond in his work and I will use him again. Vlady joined him and he, too, was professional and very helpful. Both Josh and Vlady said they like working for SDS because customer service is the top priority. Graded a B for responsiveness because my efforts to schedule appointments with the main office have been difficult. Because I have Josh's cell number, I call him directly and he helps me out. It's unfortunate he has to schedule appts in addition to going on calls.

.I attempted to install and wire a new VS pool pump by myself and in the process I made a mess of things and realized I needed a professional's help. I called SDS this morning (Saturday) hoping at best to get an appointment for the following week. After explaining my situation I was told that two technicians would be out within 2 hours. They showed up less than an hour later and went straight to work assessing the problem and giving me a quote of $150 to re-wire a new 230V line for the pump. Within an hour they had the new pump running and a new junction box installed. SDS did an awesome and professional job at an unbelievably low price and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

From the first to the last SDS Electric showed great professionalism. The gentlemen arrived on the early side of our time window and ready to work. Leo is very kind and knowledgeable on all electrical aspects. It is so nice to work with someone who actually knows his profession and displays that calm knowledge which only comes with experience. Leo and Varo installed two ceiling fans for us, one was older and a real bear to install, but Leo calmly worked it and got it in without issue. He also noticed we have some wiring and other electrical issues and offered some honest well thought suggestions. We are defiantly going to have Leo come back to take care of all of our electrical needs. He is the best!

I just had Vladi from SDS come out to replace 3 light switches. Very professional and very friendly. Im pretty sure that SDS will be handling all of my electrical needs in the future.

It went great! A two man crew came in, were crazy prompt, got the job done quickly and efficiently. No muss, no fuss. Just great service and did what they came to do. Bravo!

It was a pleasure to work with SDS Electric and have them install 8 recessed LED lights. Having seen a deal in Angie's list I contacted their office with questions. Within half an hour I had all the answers I was looking for. I scheduled a site visit for two days later to see if indeed the installation was feasible in a very old house. The crew showed on time, was very pleasant, and described the installation process. Fortunately for me they were doing a job nearby so they were able to install the lights that same day. SDS was very professional in their workings. They took care of not damaging the furniture around, the hardwood floors and the plaster while they were drilling and working. I am very pleased with the results and will definitively call them again if I need electrical work.

This is the second time I used the company...and again, price is right...great work, great guys. Main electrician was Kaz and assist Serj came over, a shout out to them. Kaz explained everything he had to do to get this job done right. Had to move light switch over and raise it higher to fit a new vanity. He also put in a new switch that was up to code. He did a great job...timely and clean. The company sent the guy over to plaster the wall shortly after the electrician finished...and he did a great job plastering the hole. Again, very happy with this company...will stick with them for sure!

Before setting the appointment I asked if they provided licensed electricians and was told yes. Mike showed up the morning of the service and when I asked him if he was a licensed electrician he became very surly and said the company was licensed and he did not need to be. I told him I had requested a licensed electrician and he became argumentative and hostile and said he had been working for 14 years. He said he was going to call the company. He could have explained things in a friendly manner but there was nothing friendly or professional about him. He got on his cell phone and went outside. When I came downstairs to a moment later, he was gone. I was expecting a call from the company to apologize but none came. I called the company and asked for the owner. Gary, the manager, said the owner was not available. I asked if Art A was the owner and he said he is one of them. Art A was not available, he was out of town. I could not get past Gary. Gary started arguing with me about the electrician not needing to be licensed. He was just as surly and rude as Mike. He said the company had no licensed electricians working for them. I would never use this company again and do not recommend them to others not because they don't have licensed workers but because they are rude, hostile, unprofessional and condescending in their manner. If they had been honest re the licensing in the beginning perhaps this would have turned out differently. Also they need to read up being courteous and professional.

I called them on 6/5/15 at night and they came the next morning at 8:30 a.m. I was really impressed with Vic. Nice man - explained why the breakers needed to be replaced. Courteous and timely.

Needed someone to install a charging station for my EV. Some minor research led me to SDS - my primary concerns were dealing with a company I did not know and what I felt was a high price. From the very start, I have never experienced such high quality work and service from any vendors. The price that seemed high to me at first was worth every dollar. And I really can not say enough in reference to Mike and Armen - total professionals in every way. As a result of SDS top flight people I will be a returning client
