Lewis repairs equipment and does not do the leak detection we need but he was very helpful in directing me to someone who could help me.

I found his price to be very fair after price shopping. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and polite. So much so that we hired him on to be our pool cleaner and he does an outstanding job for us.

Luis was fantastic... professional, responsive, knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and a really nice guy. He even gave me some free advice on helping balance the sanitizer levels in the pool to prevent staining -- followed up with a youtube video and everything!!! My problem was a leak in the inlet valve to the filter. Based on the pictures, Luis was up-front that he would try to fix the leak using the existing plumbing setup (and save the backflush assembly), but that the plumbing was tight and he may have to replace the assembly if the repair didn't take. He first made the repair... let it dry... then came back the next day to followup (which I really appreciated) to make sure it wasn't leaking. Unfortunately, the repair didn't "take" the first time (and still leaked)... I didn't blame Luis as he was trying to save me money in the first place and made me aware that this might happen. But because he felt the repair should have been successful, he replaced backflush assembly at no additional cost (although I would have been happy to pay for the replacement!!). It's refreshing to find someone who take so much pride and accountability in their work. I'll definitely use Luis in the future.

Luis is great! We liked him so much, we hired him to maintain our pool. He's already proven to be much, much better than the last pool guy we had. Luis is: - punctual - communicative and responsive (great follow up, clear, and prompt) - knowledgeable and can explain treatments & options - friendly; willing to work with you and your preferences Ultimately, the test is our pool which is beautiful & clear again (it was looking like a swamp before). If you're looking for a discount provider, look elsewhere. You get what you pay for. We're very satisfied with Luis /R1 pool service. He's worth every penny.

Scheduled with Louis to come clean my pool filter as my regular pool guy was out of the country visiting family. He was very professional on the phone and we set a time for the following day. He showed up on time and has good communication and even called to let me know that he was on the way. When he arrived he got straight to work, cleaned my filter which was some sort of sand filter. He was very knowledgable about the filter, pool, equipment etc. He actually took the filter apart and cleaned it- which even my pool guy doesn't do because it takes time. He doesn't take the lazy way out and cleaned it the correct way. Very knowledgable, professional, reliable. I would use this service again. Great service! Good Angie's list deal for filter clean.

Luis has been servicing my pool for several months now and has been doing an absolutely bang up job! It would have been willing to do the service for cheaper except for a neighbor's pine tree dumps it's needles and pollen into the pool, so I totally understand the extra $10/month. He replaced the prior pool tech because the last was doing a worse and worse job as time went on. As soon as Luis started I knew he was miles ahead of the last tech and he's done nothing but prove that he is. Again, I would strongly recommend him to anyone in need of a pool tech!

A few weeks ago he cleaned my pool filter. I have to say, it was by far the best cleaning the filter has ever had. He is always mindful of the chlorine levels, and doesn't add chemicals if its not needed. I highly recommend him.

I've had a backyard pool for over 20 years. During that time I always used a pool service-- until I retired. At that time I decided I could maintain the pool myself and save a little money. I soon discovered I was not qualified to do the work. It was not only back-breaking but I could not keep the chemicals balanced. I created a mess. R1 has been my pool service for close to 3 years. If you need a pool company THIS is the one!!! After letting go of 4 previous pool service providers for lack of knowledge about a painted pool, not showing up or even calling on their dedicated cleaning days, letting my pool go green and taking 4 days to return to my residence to fix it and/or being denied by companies because I have large dogs, I know a GREAT service when I have it. R1 is reliable, fair, knowledgeable, trustworthy and did I say reliable?? That needs to be said twice! He goes above and beyond any other service I have had. R1 has come by on an off day when I was having trouble with the filter, taken the cover off when I have forgotten and has been great with my family and my dogs. Good service is sadly difficult to find nowadays. Great service providers are even more rare. I am lucky to have found R1 after all the unreliable, uneducated, difficult and mediocre people that seem to be in this business. My pool is clean and beautiful.
