About us

General contracting, plumbing and some handyman services. Serving greater LA Area since 1995. Occasional sub-contractors, installers and helpers as needed depending on the job. Individual estimates worked up and priced per job. Free consultations. We can accept all major credit cards as well as cash and checks. We do almost any area of general contracting and plumbing. Small commercial jobs, but we can service private homes, rental properties, duplexes, whole buildings, office buildings etc.

I’m sorry that you were displeased with the materials that was used on this job. You have chosen to leave the review for my company but this was a labor only job since you supplied the materials. You were very insistent that you had all the information you needed and that you had Googled it. I then installed the deck which looks great! Just a reminder that we were taking care of the installation and you, the owner, were taking care of the material. If you are dissatisfied with the material please contact the Manufacturer. I’m sorry that I couldn’t help more.

This customer asked me to do a custom hood fan installation. I quoted her a price without much delay. She asked me to reduce my quote by 50% which I could not afford to do. I suggested she continue to look around and see if someone else could accommodate her budget needs. Its unfortunate when we can't meet a potential client's budget needs; but as you can see from the majority of our reviews, we strive to keep our customers happy!

I've used Bernie's services several times this past year. And I won't use anybody else now! First I needed smaller handyman services, then an emergency plumbing job. I trust him very much in my home. Bernie (owner and contractor for Hollywood Home Improvements) returned my calls promptly. He didn't leave a big mess. The jobs were done quickly, efficiently. Its everything you would want for someone who comes into your home, friendly, doesn't invade your privacy, and trustworthy. I have a call into him for some future work on soundproofing my study. I've referred him already to my friends and neighbors and they all love him!
Description of Work: He did various handyman services earlier in the year. He found and installed a door with soundproofing for my little room; He fixed my desk and file cabinet that wasn't closing correctly. He custom made and installed a lock box and deadbolt for me to secure some documents and installed deadbolts on some of my doors. He fixed screens on my windows and unjammed old stuck windows. More recently I used him on a plumbing job to snake out my kitchen drain.

Bernie (owner Hollywood Home Improvements) was referred to me by a friend. I called and he promptly called me back and we set an appointment. He arrived on time and was very polite. I needed various handyman stuff done, a section of my hardwood floors needed to be refinished, some touch up work in my bathroom done, rails re-hung, a picture hung and part of my wall re-plastered. He was efficient, and cleaned up too! I'll definitely call on Bernie again and have already recommended several remodeling jobs to him.
