I have used this company for about 30 years. They have a brilliant plumbing engineer there. If you need someone who really has specific knowledge, this company has a great person. They also have someone there who specializes in antique fixtures. His name is Eric. The plumbers they send to do the jobs are great. They will always ask if anything else needs to be done or checked while they are there. Most are long time employees.

He must have worked for about an hour in the pouring rain. He charged us a minimum fee for this work. We thought that was wonderful. He was a really nice guy. If we have any more plumbing problems, he s our guy!

Octavio is wonderful. This company is responsive and gets the job done right the first time.

They are now servicing LA from another area and are charging for travel charges when they used to be fairly close. We are now looking for a new plumber.

I had a problem and I called them and they came out the next day to do the work for me. They had returned all my calls right away when I had called.

I called and left a message which was returned promptly. Inasmuch as the property involved is a rental, the technician coordinated directly with the tenant to provide the service. The tenant reported timely arrival, courteous efficient service and an ancient air conditioner working as though it was new again.

They were horrible. The price was absolutely outrageous and I felt like they were purposefully trying to rip me off. They told me that I would need to replace all the piping for my sewer.

The service was phenomenal. These guys are great professionals. They were on time, worked quickly, cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy with the entire experience. It was pricey but I also wanted the top of the line system that was the most energy efficient.

It was very cold and late in the evening with the weekend coming up. Al came over after work and crawled all around under the house, etc., until, just like "Sherlock Holmes", he found a solution. I had the flu at the time and can not tell you how grateful I was. I know other people who have been his customers for 30 years who love him dearly and say they would not go with anyone else!

Running the washing machine, we found the waste water was emptying into the toilet and bathtub. Once the washer finished, the toilet and tub would drain, but we worried that next time they might overflow or that one of them might start backing up on its own as there was definitely some sort of blockage in the drain line. Of course this happened on a Sunday, but we called in anyway. The exchange had a plumber call us right away. He was up front with what it would cost to have him come out that afternoon and suggested we call Monday to set up a weekday appointment if we didn't feel it was an emergency (which it was not). So we called Monday morning and the plumber was here Tuesday at 8 am. He was personable and got right to work, cleaning up when he was done. The plumber wrote out the invoice when the drain was unclogged and was gone in less than an hour. We were very pleased with the quick efficient way he worked.

I made an appt. and when no one showed up, I called and was told that there was no record of my appt. and the receptionist implied I was lying. At first it seemed that the tech was good and the work he did was first-rate. Then we tried to use the tub. Because he never tested it before he left (he insisted he didn't have to because he didn't actually do anything with the pipes), when we tried to turn on the water, the hot and cold water valves came out of the wall! After we tightened them and reinstalled the knobs, we discovered that the diverter was broken and the spout was too short (the water just hit the side of the tub). Once we fixed the diverter, we discovered that because the tech didn't clear the line before installing the shower head, sediment had clogged and broken the new head. The leaky sink was fixed properly. To be clear, the parts were all ours, but had the tech tested everything before he left, he would have discovered the problems and could have corrected them.

There was some problem with punctuality and rescheduling, but the pipe installation seemed to go fine. We were very impressed with the quality of his workmanship. Other things, though, were very odd. There seemed to be new things the plumber noticed that cost more money. At one point, he blew a circuit and the switch in the switch box was mysteriously broken after his assistant flipped it.Didnt offer to replace it despite the fact that he clearly broke it. Now, its a couple of months later and one of the toilets is already leaking out of the bottom.

Overcharged for the time. The work men are slow and it appears to me that they are trying draw out the time so to bill you more since they bill by the hour. To me it's obvious since I have used three other plumbers and none of them are as slow as these guys. I have personally used John K. Keefe Plumbing once, but my apartment building has used them three times so out of four experiences with four different workmen, they were all slow.

Excellent... always on time, everything is clean from the truck down through the tools. The plumbers are polite, knowledgeable and honest!

This company is one of the most professional I have hired since moving into my old house in 2002! They went out of their way to fit me into their schedule, fixed the problem economically without doing extra work, and made sure I understood the process and work they were performing. Truly an outstanding company and I would recommend them to anyone needing any air conditioning or heating work. They did the work after 5:00 and so that I didn't have to take any vacation time--very considerate!

The technician was very knowledgeable and detailed. He had a conference call with the staff back at the office to resolve a potential code issue. HOWEVER, they charged $70 for the estimate (one hour plus vehicle charge), which I was never told when I talked to them over the phone or when the technician arrived. I find that somewhat dishonest.

This company used to be good, but the Keefe's sold it to a commercial plumber, and now they're awful. They don't use house accounts anymore, and they're 5 minutes away from me, and they charged me over $20 for travel fees. They increased their hourly rate for plumbing since I last used them. There was also a truck fee, fuel surcharge, and other misc. Charges. He didn't put on bootie covers and tracked mud up my staircase, then I had to loan him a drop cloth. There was no warning on any of these charges over the phone. I'll never use this company again, and wouldn't recommend them to anyone! I called twice to speak to a manager, and they just gave me the run around, that the manager wasn't available and that they'd take a message and have him call me back, which he never did. Someone bought the company name, and they're providing extremely lousy service. DO NOT USE THEM!

I've used them before and recommended them for drain cleaning. They were fine.

They didn't come out with the right cartridges even though I told the office exactly what I needed on the phone. My tenants had a shower leak of cold water before he came. When he came out he left them with a bigger leak of hot water so bad that the room was steaming. They were to call back with a quote for the cartridge and I never received a call. I got a call from my tenants a few days later that they couldn't even see in the mirror with the window open, it was dripping so badly. I called Keefe back and he came out with the right cartridges to do the repairs. He didn't clean up well afterward (tracked dirty footprints everywhere). They charged for the first visit in addition to the second, even though I told them what they needed before they came out the first time. Instead of being concerned with the issue and getting a manager involved, the office just extended a 'courtesy discount' which didn't even cover the first trip charges.

They are on time and their work is wonderful. The people are articulate and explain problems well. they clean up their messes.

THE PRICE THAT THE COMPANY CHARGED ME SEEMED EXTREMELY STEEP. THE QUALITY OF WORK MADE UP FOR IT. LIKE I MENTIONED BEFORE THE COMPANY GOT THERE EXTREMELY FAST.

MY EXPERENCE WAS SATIFACTORY. I CALLED AND SOMEONE WAS OUT TO MY HOME WITHIN A FEW HOURS. I HAD SERVERAL PROBLEMS WITH MY MAIN LINE BUT THEY WERE ABLE TO IDENITFY THE PROBLEM AND SOLVE IT.

THE PLUMBER SEEMED CONFUSED ON WHAT HE ALSO DOING. HE APPOLIGIZED FOR THE BROKEN PART. OTHER THEN THAT IT WAS FUN AND HE WAS VERY POLITE AND NICE TO ME.

THEY WERE POLITE IN EVERYTHING THEY DID. THEY ASKED IF WE KNEW HOW IT GOT CLOGGED. THEY WERE VERY COOPERATIVE AND WORKED QUICKLY TO FINISH IT.

PLUMBER WAS ABLE TO MINIMIZE WAIT TIME AND COORDINATED VISIT WITH MY WORK SCHEDULE. WORK WAS DONE QUICKLY AND TECHNICIAN WAS POLITE AND FRIENDLY. I HAVE USED THIS SERVICE BEFORE.
