It went very well. They came in to do the job and had it done in no time.

The issue was a blockage in our sewer line. We use Moe for all of our plumbing, and they sent their awesome sewer specialist, Eric, to check it out. He said roots had grown into the pipe, and brought in a hydrojet to open it. The root system was a monster. Ultimately, it took a full day and a 7,000 PSI machine, to open a hole in the root ball and get water flowing. In order to repair it permanently, the connection that failed would have to be dug-up and replaced. Later, the original lining contractor did that work under warranty. When they removed the section that was blocked, we saw that the root ball was almost 1’ think! Eric did a great job breaking through it, and getting the pipe to drain!

Service was completed to all satisfaction. Crew was very nice and professional.

We were distressed and could not find anyone to come out and repair our old unit. They squeezed us into their already busy schedule-- THE SAME DAY and fixed the unit like it was easy. We are so grateful.

They came the same day and it was very good. Did a good job fixing and called me and told me it was done because I was in a vacation. They gave me a $50 off from normal price.

Epic review: We had a clog between our outside clean out and the city sewer line in the street. I had a plumber come out from the only company that could send someone that night (not from H.L. Moe and who I subsequently realized has a terrible rating on Angie's List) to diagnose the problem and clear the clog. They hydro-jetted and then sent the camera down, which was super dark and grainy, and said "There's no pipe left! I can't even get my camera through!" They then explained that we can't use any toilets or sinks in the house and that it will back up even worse if we do. They seemed genuinely concerned, explained this is an emergency, and that we need them to come tomorrow morning to start work on a $4,000+ job to replace the line. I was kind of freaked out, the hydro jetting already cost $550 we have two small kids and I wasn't sure how we could go about not using any water for a number of days or doing this giant, crazy expensive project (that we can't afford) on a moment's notice. Anyway, even though they had thoroughly freaked me out, I felt something was off with these guys so I couldn't agree to work without a second opinion. The next morning after basically not sleeping at all, I went on Angie's List, found and called H.L. Moe Plumbing and Juan came to the house in the afternoon. He sent his camera down (which was clear and in color) and ran into the roots that the previous plumbers showed me after hydro jetting. He was surprised... "I thought they hydro jetted the pipe?" I said "They did, but they said there's no pipe left there..." He shook his head and forced his camera through the roots revealing that the pipe was fine past that root incursion. We later had the pipe snaked, which proved out Juan's diagnoses. Everything was fine. There was no pipe break. No major issue. We just need some maintenance to clear the roots (which the hydro jet should have cleared, but somehow didn't b/c those previous plumbers were either incompetent or something much worse). We now have video showing the full lateral in great condition. Point being, Juan is the best. A skilled, honest, and friendly professional. He totally saved the day and potentially saved us from falling into a never ending money pit with the previous plumbers (something reviews had warned against with them). I learned a a couple (of what should have been obvious) lessons, but mainly: if possible, wait until Juan / H.L. Moe or another honest company like them with good reviews and an A rating is available to come out to diagnose and resolve an issue, b/c it's easy to be taken advantage of when it comes to things I know little about (like sewer lines!) but that can have a huge impact on the house. This is a crazy long review. By far the longest I've ever written, but this experience was such a roller coaster and I want to put it out there in case it helps someone else in a similar predicament.

Moe is the only plumbing service our household will use. The workmen are very friendly, extremely professional and don't aim to take all your life's earnings. Their work is impeccable and treated our home as if it were their own! WE LOVE MOE'S PLUMBING!!!

The plumber arrived well within the time span that their office gave my wife. In total, the plumber was here about 20 minutes on the aforementioned job. We were aware of the additional charge since it was Labor Day weekend. Moe Plumbing was one of the few offering Saturday hours. Upon completion of the job, the plumber presented a bill with an additional fee for "use of equipment" (the snake) and travel from Glendale (our neighboring city). We disputed those two items since they were not mentioned in the original phone contact. We've had plumbers do this job before this time, and no equipment charge was levied. If they traveled a distance, no additional charge was presented either. After calling his office, the technician dropped the two additional charges. We thought they should have been forthcoming with all charges in our original phone contact.

Jose arrived promptly, introduced himself in a businesslike manner and got right to the matter. What I thought was a simple DIY actually required specialized tools which he carried in his bag. He readily answered questions about the nature of the task and why I got stymied. He also carried a quality brass replacement part, not the cheap (imported from you know where) under $6 metal part available at your typical big box that is subject to corrosion and failure. In under an hour all was done, and that included testing the part by turning on and off the main. I also asked him about tankless water heaters and he gave a balanced appraisal of pro and contra. This guy knows what he is doing and explains things articulately. I am very pleased overall with the professionalism of this company.

I had Moe Plumbing come out to fix a tenants wall heater. I had already called several other heating repairs companies, who either were not willing to go into the crawl space and roof or were booked up for weeks in advance. The sent a service technician out the same day that I called them, and the issue with the heater was promptly fixed. My tenant said that they were thorough and professional. What more could you ask for?!

Very fast, efficient work, explained what he was doing on each step. The heating unit worked when he left.

No work was done. Got a quote from them for work that needed done per inspection report for the property we just bought. They were quick to respond to my messages on AL. Decided to go with another company that had a better price.

After trying a few different companies, Moe's was able to have a plumber at my house that Saturday afternoon. Jason was Very Professional, swapped out the water heater in a very timely manner and we had hot water by dinner time. The customer service rep called me on Monday morning to let me know my bill would be $50 lower than expected since I was a new customer. I was an even happier client after that.

Job was done very professionally, debris removed and bathroom was left clean. Plumbers took special care in handling and installation of heavy marble countertop. Plumbers suggested that faucets negatively affected by hard water be replaced and that we consider a water softener because of high calcium residue. They returned to install faucets at a later date for an additional charge.

The valve replacement went smoothly and took about a half an hour. He asked to see the Angie's list coupon of one hour of labor for $99 and I gave him a copy so I was really surprised when he asked for another $75.50. Their customer care representative saw my previous review and called me to say they will return my check to me.and that they do not have an hour and a half minimum. She sent me a letter of apology along with my check.

Hired Moe Plumbing to do HVAC maintenance. Two workers arrived and said all was okay. They seemed hurried. One week later this same HVAC system broke during record heat. Moe was "too busy" to come for another week. After 4 days of suffering, called another company who came within two hours and fixed the problem right away. Bottom line: this company is too big to provide efficient/quality service.

Javier was very good! I was very happy with the experience and the money I saved.

They had to come out twice, they didn't get it done right the first time. I told them, your guy didn't pull the toilet like he should have, because one of your other techs told me that's what they should have done. If they would have done that the first time, you wouldn't have had to charge me for two trips. He took a lot of the bill, and said he agreed with me. Their work was good, their rates are reasonable. I've paid a lot more for plumbing than what they charged me, so I was pleased with that.

Went very well. The scheduler (Cyndy) quickly set up an appointment time. The technician (Chris) showed up right on time and provided information on each of the steps he performed in the maintenance visit. He also checked the heating. After he was done (he had to replace a capacitor), he checked the efficiency of the a/c unit. The two people with whom I dealt were both professional and personable. Would (and will) definitely hire them again.
