The Carpet Outlet

It went very well, and I'm happy to have nice new carpet that feels good to walk on with no shoes. I drove to the store in Gilroy (I am 20 minutes away in Morgan Hill). They showed me the various types of carpet, and colors that were close to what I wanted. I picked out a particular one and she scheduled a measurement so they could give an exact amount. A day or two later, Tom came to my house and measured the room. I was surprised the measurement includes all carpet used, not the actual square footage of floor. Then there's some odd pieces left at the end (which we kept to make a small area rug.) I decided I wanted to save a little money, so I returned to carpet outlet, after getting the quote $2,500. I remembered I'd chosen almost the most expensive, so I found one very similar, also manufactured by tuftex, which took the price down to $1,600. A team of 2 workers showed up on the day I requested, a week later, and installed the carpet. Went very smoothly and no problems with it - a month ago now. I noticed the cheaper carpet I had chosen is more flexible than I expected, not as firm as the carpet I am used to. I didn't think in advance that lower "density" might make a weaker carpet. It is nicer & softer to walk on without shoes than our other carpet. I'd think twice about dragging a heavy piano across the room.

This company is great. They have the estimator out one day and the carpet installed the next day. They give free estimates and everything. They are a one day turn around company. They have the ability to do that quickly. I am not sure about pricing. It all varies on the yard, carpet and size. They are very affordable though. They have quick service; they are reliable, local, courteous and professional. You can't beat it.
