Ed, the owner, came and did a great job.

My central A/C unit went out during a terrible heat wave in Los Angeles. Some repair companies said it would be a week or two before they could get to me; others wouldn't even tell me the price of a service call. I contacted Ed at Patriot Energy. He was the only one who said the estimate was free. Ed was working incredibly long hours due to the weather, but wanted to fit me in. Although we had never met, he was genuinely concerned about my family being without air conditioning. He came at one in the morning to diagnose the issue. He was able to tell within five minutes what the problem was (blower motor). He had used the last one at an earlier job so he immediately called his office to order one for me. Ed went the extra mile and cleaned other parts of the unit because he felt it was not only unhealthy for my family to be breathing the accumulation of dust and dirt, but also because it would aid in the longevity of the unit. He really cares about people and wants to do the very best for them. Ultimately, I had to wait a few days for the repair but it was well worth it. Ed encouraged me to watch him work and explained every step of what he was doing. He made a follow-up call the next day to make sure everything was working okay and that we were finally "cool" Hiring service people can be stressful; Ed immediately put me at ease. I felt like I had a good friend (rather than a repairman I had just met) taking care of my problem. Ed is honest and incredibly fair. I would hire him again in a minute. In fact, he is the only person I want working on my central air/heating unit in the future.

Heat wave hit So Cal hard, with temps 110 in much of OC when my A/C died (short cycling...pump issue). I called on Saturday (day 2 of severe heat) and Kiana told me that it would be Monday afternoon before they could make it out. I took the appointment, asking for any cancellation spots that might arise. On Monday, my appointment time had elapsed and I called and talked to Ed, only to be told that they had been delayed and would try to make it out that night (after all the other backlog calls, keeping my place in the cue so to speak). He was trying desperately to triage the calls, prioritizing the needy (babies, ill, old) as possible. He had been working 14-hour days since the heat broke (Friday) under terrible challenges: he had to fire an employee who was taking advantage of customers; he was in an accident in one of the company trucks; and a record-breaking heat wave. The poor guy was hurting, but still putting in 110% to help the community. He was still going strong when the team came out that night (nearly 8 p.m). He ascertained the problem immediately, got the A/C running (with instructions to keep thermostat low so the pump wouldn't stop, keeping us cool through the night) and left the (one expensive and two less so) parts for the morning when they promised to return and do the repair. The A/C stopped before we went to bed. I texted him, and said I'd see them in the morning... Nothing to be done about it at that late hour except keep him apprised. The next day, the tech showed up and fixed the unit, cleaned it up, explained the process and the fix, as well as maintenance tips to avoid future costly repairs. He left...and no one had asked me for any money!! I had to call Kiana and ask her to email me an invoice!! The reason I mention this is that this company is more worried about their customers' comfort than about making money. They did the work without asking for money - who DOES that nowadays?!? When I got the invoice via email, it was less expensive than I expected (we didn't even talk about estimates because of the emergency/rush nature - I was trusting that they would do me right, and they did, thank God!). I was able to pay by credit card (a small fee) or check/cash. This company came out earlier (at great personal discomfort and fatigue) than any other in my area was able to, gave me service that was honest and reasonably priced, and really proved their humanity and compassion when trialing under impossible circumstances. AMAZING, GOD-SEND. That sums it up.

Patriot Energy is by far the best HVAC Repair Company that I have ever seen. The honesty and integrity of Ed Roche and his team are unsurpassed. They found a way to get to my home and repair my unit in the sweltering heat when others made excuses why they couldn't. If you are looking for someone that you can trust and depend on then Patriot Energy is the only choice. My unit is cooling my home amazingly now. The pricing was below any other contractor. Life's all about relationships, and I am glad that Ed and his team are there. They are a beacon of integrity. It is a rarity to find someone who cares so much about people in this day and age. I would not let anyone else service my unit period.

Ed is absolutely terrific! After servicing so many other customers on one of L.A.'s hottest summer days and getting into a car accident earlier in the day, he kept his word and showed up to my home. He arrived after 10:30 pm after his various A/C repairs. It took him less than 5 minutes for Ed to diagnose my A/C problem. He provided the Freon I needed, replaced the caps on my unit due to a leak that I had, and cleaned the A/C unit. I also received a two-year warranty on parts and labor. He was certainly a life saver since I had another contractor visit my home earlier who didn't provide any sort of repair, only a huge estimate (almost $10,000) for work that I didn't need performed. Ed is honest, he educates you, and you can tell that he has integrity in the work that he conducts. He doesn't try to rip off customers and he takes it personally when he finds out his customer was either ripped off or had potential to be ripped off by another contractor. Ed is extremely personable, professional, knowledgeable (he teaches courses on air conditioning), and fairly priced. There are not many contractors like him at all. I think he is amazing, I pray that he remains successful. Ed saved me headaches and anxiety that I started to experience after meeting with another contractor earlier that day. Lastly, Ed is not very concerned about getting paid. He was willing to leave after the job and said he'll get my payment later. I couldn't have that happen, so I insisted that I pay him on the spot. He is a rare technician. I'm so glad that I found a great A/C technician, he's an all around generous person. I look forward to referring him to others! I'm so lucky to have found him and to have learned about his personal story and how he has given back to others.

Ed Roche is an amazing guy! He arrived and within minutes he had analyzed our now-outlawed zone system problems. He was thorough, explained every step (with a phone video from the roof!) and proposed a solution that saved components, money and time. Ed was on time and professional. In one hour, he figured out the cause of a leak that the initial installer has not been able to find in 5 years.

In under 2 hours, he completed 5 separate projects, documented everything, and explained it along the way. The quality of his work is only matched by his integrity as a professional. Ed was great. I was given an appointment , i asked if they could be here early, Ed arrived 30min later. He was very professional, his customer service was great. He assessed the A/C unit and quickly determined it was a faulty thermostat. He didn't have one on his truck but he went out and purchased one. He installed it, my A/C was back on. He also performed general maintenance and my A/C unit is working at its full capacity. I would definitely recommend Patriot Energy Inc. to my family and friends. With no doubt they are now my go to A/C, Energy and Heating Specialist.

Stop searching for the best aircondition/heating company in LA! I definitely recommend Patriot energy Heating and Air Conditioning as they met my criteria for price, quality and follow-through after completion of the project. Ed replaced my airblower, filter grill and added freon . Ed is very knowledgeable with his work and explained everything the work he did.I would trust this company again with any future needs to my house.

The technician was extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain the problem really well. He also identified the leak in less than one minute. Knows his stuff really well!

Fair pricing, great service

Ed came out at 10:00 pm on a holiday weekend because our air was not working correctly. He was very kind and has great customer service skills. He was honest and precise. Explains everything so laypeople can understand! I highly recommend him.
