Aston was very professional and courteous in my dealings with him. He does great work, leaving behind ready to paint surfaces. Due to scheduling issues, my work had to be postponed, but Aston stepped up to complete this work on a holiday. Aston is very neat and leaves his work area clean on his departure. When is comes to plaster work, he is a true artisan.

I phoned and left a message asking for a quote. I originally was looking for a very rough estimate of replastering a bedroom ceiling that plaster had fallen. Since I had no experience with this type of plastering, I needed to see if it would be in the ballpark of my budget to have the ceiling replastered to keep with the original design or if I needed to go a cheaper route. Aston Hill returned my call and after I sent pictures, he provided a very very rough estimate. I knew that it was well under priced since the pictures didn't represent the work correctly but it at least gave me something to start with and it was only verbal. I then asked for Aston to come out and provide me with a firm written quote of the actual work required. When he arrived on a Sunday morning promptly, I explained the entire situation and what detail I needed for a quote. We had two bedrooms that needed work but one was more in dire need of repair than the other and the house was my fathers house and he would be making the final decision. Aston did a detailed quote for me explaining every step he would be performing. He also provided reference pictures of other work he had done. He also broke out the quote into parts if I were to do one ceiling or both. This detailed quote enabled me to confer with my dad and he fully understood exactly what was going to be done. He ended up electing to have Aston fix both ceilings to my surprise. Aston was very busy with work and we were a couple of weeks out to schedule. I had an urgent medical need to get the work done as soon as possible. Aston was able to help me out and made arrangements to work on a Sunday/Monday to get the two ceilings done in two days instead of the quoted 2.5-3 days. His work is flawless. The plaster pattern he matched the ceilings to were very difficult but he did a fantastic job. He also took video and pictures for me since I was not able to be there throughout the process just to make me comfortable with the progress. He cleaned up all work areas as if he was never there. Yes, Aston may not have been the cheapest rate for repair but I honestly didn't care. Gut instinct and the comfort level after we met, was a strong motivator in the selection of Aston. I had no issues with leaving him work in the house alone. His professionalism and respect he showed was something I can't say I experience very often. Especially in the home improvement arena. In talking with Aston, he told me he won't quote a job if he is too booked to actually take the work. To me, that says a lot that he is not willing to waste someone's time quoting a job if he can't do it. I appreciate his honesty. I would highly recommend Aston for any work and he will definitely be on speed dial for any and all future projects. One last thought, when I was researching the contractors on who I would just call for a quote, I read every single review on his site. The most impressive thing besides the reviews themselves, was he responded to each and every one, positive ones included. He obviously appreciates the effort of homeowners who take the time to write a review and responds. Many other contractors only responded defensively to negative reveiws. I was interested in more and it showed his character in his responses. Thank you, Aston, for a job well done!

Professional. Showed up on time, good communicator by phone or text, cleaned up area when he was done. Took about 2 hours to complete the work. Honest. I was considering what to do on a future stucco job, and he recommended not stuccoing, and going another direction, even though that meant no business for him. Good at his job. I would call Aston again!

Aston did a very good job. He was very neat and clean. He covered furniture and floors with plastic and his clean up was perfect. HE IS VERY COMMUNICATIVE and keeps you advised at all times. I would highly recommend him. and in fact have given his card to two of my friends for future work

If you are just looking for someone to throw some stucco on your house then Aston Hill is not for you. If you want a professional who understands the importance of prep work, does a great job with the stucco, then cleans up after the job, call Aston Hill right now. I had a new electrical panel when I had AC installed last summer. It had a scratch coat of stucco around it and Aston put on the surface coat. My primary reason for calling him was to patch the lower wall around my new patio, which was lowered. He mixed in some color and made it pretty close to paint color and blended it beautifully with the old stucco. He told me what the cost would be when he first looked at it and that's exactly what it was when he finished. Great job!

Aston did a great job. He was very professional, he did quality work and was able to get the job done quicker than I had anticipated. I also appreciated his honesty when discussing a future repair. Aston suggested a less expensive solution to my problem, even though he would not be the one doing the job. I will definitely be calling him for a few upcoming jobs that I have.

Aston, the owner of Patchwork's Patching Specialist, did exactly what he proposed in his bid, and was attentive to the details that were important to us. We appreciate the time and effort he put into our home, it is obvious that he is very good at his trade. If Aston tells you he will be at your house by a certain time, you can count on him to be there. He always communicated with us if there were any scheduling issue. Doing stucco correctly is very time-intensive, but Aston took the time to do the job right the first time. Our home will look fantastic for years to come because of Aston's hard work.

Aston was a pleasure to work with, very courteous and professional. Aston is very knowledgeable about his profession and he did an awesome job matching the patched areas to the existing stucco. And the block wall has the best smooth stucco surface I have ever seen or felt. Just beautiful!! overall the job took several days because of rain delays and the stucco needed to dry between appplications. Aston cares about his work and strives to make sure it is done correctly. The work area was contained and he cleaned up after each day to make sure my dogs didnt get into a mess. He communicates really well by text or phone. He kept me informed about when he would arrival and if there were going to be any delays. One time I had to leave so I left my dogs in the garage and Aston made sure everything was locked up and let them out into the back yard before he left. I trusted him completely and he texted me to let me know everything was ok. I highly recommend Aston Hill and if needed will definately use him again in the future. Aston does very high quality stucco work. He was very quick to respond back and gave an estimate the next day. Work was done after a 10' rose planter was removed from the side of the house. He was very meticulous with matching the stucco pattern to the existing so seamlessly, such that you couldn't even tell it was patched. Clean up everything before leaving. His pricing was not the highest nor the lowest, and definitely superb work for the price! Aston was a pleasure to work with, very courteous and professional. Will definitely use again for future work and highly recommended!!

Aston is overall fantastic. He fit me into his schedule to get the exterior of my home patched and water-proofed before rain. He returned on a different day to finish the skim coat of the stucco and did a beautiful job of blending his work with the texture of the existing stucco. Something that I especially appreciated about Aston is that he was able and willing to communicate via email and text, in addition to phone calls, which made it much easier for us to convey information to each other and schedule the work quickly. He met up with my husband on the final day to finish work and receive payment because I was unavailable, but Aston also had the consideration to follow up with me via email, since I was the one who initiated the work. I plan to hire him again when I need more work in the future and would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone else.

If all service providers were like Aston what a wonderful world this would be. He is fanatical about getting in touch promptly, staying in touch throughout the job, always letting us know when he would be arriving, calling to let us know he was leaving for the day, locking up the house when he left, cleaning up at the end of every day, etc. He spent over half of the first day just laying paper and plastic to cover everything possible to prevent the furniture and floors from becoming dirty. We had just had our house painted before this plumbing incident, and he was very careful to mask off the areas where he was working to keep the rest of the paint job as pristine as possible. The job took about five full days total and the finished surfaces look perfect, ready for paint; you can hardly tell anything happened. Aston went the extra mile, moving furniture back into place and vacuuming the carpet, unasked! He is very personable and has a charming English accent. Very happy with his work.

I made the call Sat morning. He called back within an hr. Was at my house by noon that day (ok, I'm surprised). He tells me it's a one day job, that he could do it tomorrow, and would have a bid to me by 4 pm that day. Really? I had the bid of $750 by 3pm, he had attached several pics of work he'd done of stucco repair (liked that), and again, said he could do it Sunday. BTW, I had called 2 other contractors - one refused because he said he was too far away (I had a 10 mile range on my search), the other (as of today) has never returned my call. No surprise, I went with Patchwork's as quickly as possible. And it was a great choice. He showed up about 9 am, worked until maybe 3 pm. He had a last coat on the stucco and said that he wanted it to set up more before he applied, that he could come by after I got off work the next day for the last 45 min to finish. That was fine by me. I sent him a text when I got home from work on Monday. He was here in 30 min, finished my stucco & then got paid. Ashton was easy to work with, did a great job. He prepped well to not splatter stucco or plaster on window frames or other parts of the house, he cleaned up well. When I paid him I asked for extra business cards for a couple friends. I would refer him without hesitation & I will use him again.

Patchwork Plastering Company (Aston Hill) removed three popcorn ceilings and plastered the ceilings with base and finish coats of plaster. They also plastered the walls and ceiling of our main bathroom (walls ruined by removal of glued-on paneling). Both jobs are perfect. The walls are smooth and even. The rooms look great; they even look bigger. The bathroom is a pleasure to be in now. Aston cleaned up and vacuumed. He left the place cleaner than he found it. "Thank you for a spectacular job."

Mr Aston did a wonderful job at my house. The quality of his work is excellent. He was very polite, on time, honest. He was very clear about the scope of the job, what he was going to do on day one and day two. His communication skills are excellent -even though English is my second language, Mr Aston went out of his way to explain what needed to be done- I really appreciated that.I would contact him with no hesitation when I need a job done again. From start to finish, Aston was timely, professional and courteous. Not only did he provide the services in a very timely fashion, he matched the existing stucco perfectly and left the finished job site very neat and clean. I was apprehensive hiring someone for this job with having seen samples of their work, but the Angies List reviews swayed me and I hired Aston based solely on his reviews. REALLY glad I did!!! Beautifully! Aston is great to work with. This was a unique and somewhat challenging project, but he handled it like the pro that he is. Most plasterers said the project was too small or couldn't get to it for a couple of months. Problem was the building permit was expiring. He was prompt, worked in between his other projects to help us out, and he was extremely halpful in his directions in preparing the area for his work. Great work and met all the conditions the building inspector required for final sign off. We would highly recommend Aston to anyone wanting quality plastering work.

This man is an absolute master at his art and was a prime example of what every contractor should be like. Starting day one Aston arrived ON TIME at the designated time he promised. He was very honest, straight forward and extremely clear what fell into his expertise. Several items were outside his scope of work which he recommended be done by someone else. After completing and prepping work that needed to be done prior to his arrival, Aston helped coordinate with the other contractor to ensure there was no lapse of time from when the other work was completed to when his work started. Throughout the entire process Aston communicated what was being done each day and what was to be completed each following day. His communication skills were top notch and never left you wondering where progress was at. One of the days I returned home late from work (6pm) and had a question for Aston and left him a message. Too my surprise he returned my call same day by 9pm with answers putting my mind at ease. Patchwork?s is certainly not the cheapest on the block but if you want phenomenal work done for a fair price, this your man! The work completed is to absolute perfection and his attention to detail is bar none. One could never tell the debacle the previous homeowner left me once Aston was finished. There were several areas he did not quote but went out of his way to complete which was the icing on the cake. My thanks and gratitude go out to Aston for making this a very easy and smooth process! Aston was simply fantastic! He showed up on time, did all the work we agreed on and a few extra things that we discovered after the initial estimate, and was extremely professional. The best thing about Aston is how clean he is!!! Not a speck of anything anywhere after he left. He's extremely meticulous. And his work is very, very good. He absolutely knows what he's doing. He's a very skilled craftsman and well worth his very reasonable rate. We will definitely be using him in the future!

Aston Hill is truly a pro. From the beginning he returned our call for an estimate appointment, explained what the job required and why using his plastering service is the way to go. Although the job took a little longer than estimated (only two days really) we feel this was due to the unusually hot and humid weather that week, and his professionalism. He really does want the finished job to be right. Customer satisfaction and pride in the work are uppermost for Mr. Hill.
