It went absolutely wonderful!! We had used Aston's services prior to this job, so we were aware of the caliber of his work. And, as expected, this time he did not let us down. Might I add all of the finished work was done plaster, which looks ten times better than drywall (I think). First, he started by removing the dreaded, popcorn ceiling. The next day he installed the insulation, and hung the drywall. After that was the taping and mudding. After that he smoothed the walls and prepped it all for the painter. Aston showed up on time daily, was very punctual, and was sure to always stop what he was doing to talk to us if we had any questions or concerns.

I called Aston based on what I read on Angie List. I'm glad I did. He is a very engaging chap. He recognized what type of wall he was dealing with, button board and plaster and gave me a fair estimate. I hired him on the spot. A couple of days later he arrived to do the work. He was very professional and did a great job of meeting my expectations for isolating the work area. Aston did a great job! I painted the area a few days later and you can't even tell there was ever a huge hole in the wall. Aston did a great job and I will hire him again.

Aston repaired all the stucco areas and had to adjust his schedule because the people drying out the walls kept moving their done date Aston handled the moving schedule and did an excellent job. .This is the second major stucco repair I've had Aston do.

It was a big job and it took 4 days. The ceilings look great and it is a big improvement over what it looked like before. I would not hesitate to call Aston on any future projects we might need and I would recommend him to friends and family. He is very courteous and respectful.

It was an excellent experience. Aston is personable, reliable, flexible, and dependable. He did a great job explaining what was going wrong with our ceiling and how he would be able to fix it. The price was very fair considering the amount of work to be done and the results look great. On top of that, he did a very good job of clean up. Despite some initial communication issues on our end, Aston rolled with the punches and always kept us in the loop as far as scheduling and progress. I do not hesitate recommending Aston's work to anyone.

I recently removed a patio cover that was rotted from termite damage, the end result left me with a large hole on the side of the house. Based on the very good reviews on Angie's List I called Patchworks Patching aka Aston Hill. Aston quickly responded to my phone call and arrived to my house only a couple of days later. He showed up on time and did an excellent job on the house. Aston was polite and professional. He answered all my questions and did a clean job. I would highly recommend his services to friends and family.

Aston was very professional and timely. I left a voicemail on his cell phone late on a Friday and he called me back within a few hours. He scheduled time to visit the home and quote the repair work. I found Aston to be on time, thorough, and professional. We scheduled a time to do the work, which had to be postponed once due to some conflicts. However, Aston was apologetic and made every effort to reschedule the work to better fit both of our schedules. I thought the job would take 2-3 days, but Aston finished it in less than 8 hours. I felt comfortable leaving him along in the home unattended to do the work. When I arrived home later in the day, the job was done and the place was cleaned up. The only downside was that the plaster patchwork had to cure and dry for a week before I was able to paint over it. This is not an afront to Aston's work, but just a warning to others who need to do patchwork that there is a bit of lag time before you can paint. Aston also gave me some useful guidance on how to repaint some more challenging areas in my kitchen and left some extra patching material behind for me to use. Overall - great personalized customer service and professional work. I will use Aston again if I have more patchwork.

Aston returned my call the next morning and within the next day, a time was set to have him give an estimate for the work needed. He arrived on time and explained the cause of the problems in both areas and the work needed to repair them. He even did the repairs that day, which I appreciated very much. Aston was thorough and professional, answering my questions and listening to my concerns. He explained the proper way to remedy the problems and did a beautiful job in repairing both areas. Aston removed the ugly old cracked, stained and peeling plaster, repaired the cracks and re-plastered the ceiling. My ceiling is now absolutely beautiful. I am in the design industry and VERY picky and I'm thrilled with the job he did. He completed the work in one day and cleaned up the mess perfectly. Having restored this old house for the last 12 years, I would say of all the work I've had done, I'm happiest with the work done by Aston.

He knows what he is doing and does it well. He doesn't take short cuts at any step in the process. He is clear and straight with his communication and actions. This job took 5 full days to complete. Aston's son assisted him. I was struck by how well they worked together. My experience of Aston is that he is a man of integrity. His positive outlook on life and the respect with which he treats all he comes in contact with was a pleasure to be around.

Aston came out promptly and gave us an estimate of the project. We schedule the work for that week, he came on time and preformed the work matching the texture of the existing wall perfectly. Extremely pleased with his service and plan to have him do some kitchen drywall work in the future.

Aston arrived and provided a estimate for the repair of the many holes and the cut outs I made in the drywall while making repairs on my mobile home. The estimate was very fair. He returned a few days later and began the work. Within a few hours he was finished and he did a great job.

We were very pleased with the work. The repairs blended nicely and the fog coating fixed problems caused by another contractor. I would not hesitate to hire him again. I am very detail oriented and the stucco looks great.

I chose Aston from Angie's List due to high positive ratings and after meeting him in person. The results were excellent! Very happy with the work and texture. Looks classy! He was prompt on arrival for both the estimate and actual job. Aston did the work himself along with one other worker. The room was completely covered and sealed off with plastic. The entire job from start to finish took just under 7 hours (the drywall / mud technique would have been 3 day minimum). Many of the other reviewers mentioned the quality of his work. I completely agree. There is an art to this work. He is a "craftsman". Very personable and easy to work with as well. He says his prices are not the cheapest but not the most expensive. Worth it! Very labor intensive work. I highly recommend Aston and will use him again for future work.

Aston of Patchworks has earned a high recommendation from me after repairing several stucco problems around my house. All 4 locations turned out looking great. Aston was very careful to respect my property by properly covering both soft & landscape around where the work was performed. He also respected my time by keeping me apprised of delays he encountered in obtain supplies for the project so I knew what was happening throughout the project. He also left the worksite cleaner than he found it. Aston is a true professional that is old school in that he says what he will do and the does what he says he will do on the schedule promised.

Aston arrived on Saturday in the afternoon to provide a estimate. He provided the price and it was very reasonable. We agreed to his price. He said he would be back the next day (Sunday) at 8:15am to start the work. He arrived on time and began the work. He finished the everything he could do for that day. He explained that he would return tomorrow (Monday) to finish the work after what he had done had dried. He returned on Monday and finished the work. The work was excellent. I gave him a check for the work.

The electrician that put in my electric panel put in recommended Aston to me. He told me he did excellent work. I called Aston and he responded right away. He had some other jobs to do but told me when he could start. Once he got started he was always there right on time. The job had to be done in 3 separate visits. He couldn't be there when originally scheduled for one of the appointments but he called to explain and we rescheduled his visit. The place that the panel was located made it difficult to do but he did and excellent job. I asked him to look at some other stucco patching jobs I needed done and he said they would not be a problem. One of those jobs was an area on the house that draws up water causing the stucco to fall away, he explained how it could be fixed but he said it would be expensive and based on how long I would be staying in the house he didn't recommend me having it done. I appreciated his opinion. Aston is very knowledgable on all aspects plaster patching. Aston does excellent work and he is a very pleasant person. I would highly recommend him.

This is the third time I use Aston. Three different stucco repair projects over a two year period. He is professional, punctual, skilled and maintains a clean area as he works. Stucco was peeling off around the garage door. Finished product looks perfect. Cant thank him enough for fitting me into his schedule and getting this done for me. I have a stucco repair guy for life!

Aston responded promptly to my phone call and set up an appointment very quickly to give me an estimate. When he arrived to view the potential work, he explained in detail what he could do. His estimate was very reasonable. When he arrived with his helper, the work went very smoothly and quickly. Not only did he repair the ten foot span of damaged stucco, he added a seal between the stucco and the balcony. The stucco wall now looks better than before and is ready to paint.
