I noticed a leak in my roof after the recent heavy rain. I called on Oct 12 to get them to come out, find the problem and hopefully make the repair. I was told that they were busy and could not respond immediately but asked when I would be available. I told hem that I was home all day on Thursday Oct 15. He said "all day on Thursday" and I said "yes." He said ok and we terminated the call. By about 4:00 p.m. no one had come out or contacted me. I called the office again, and explained that I was supposed to have someone come out to inspect my roof. the guy said he had no record but would put a note on the "proper" desk to get someone to call me. No one has contacted me. I checked "f" on overall because no work was performed and I did not have an option of "n/a" on that question. I tried for a neutral "c" but the system would not let me do that with the other "f's" that I gave on the only relevant questions. They should give an option of "no work performed" on the overall rating. When I called both times they asked how I learned of them and I stated "Angie's list." Top date, this is the first negative experienced I have had with anyone on the list whether or not they knew I was a member. I would think that knowing that I was on the list, they might be more responsive. I also understand that with the recent heavy rains after so many years with little rain, a lot of roof leaks may now be noticed that weren't before and they could be extremely busy. I can work with a "sorry can't do it" or a long wait period for the work, but I con't deal well with making unfulfilled commitments or not responding to an inquiry.

We discovered a sprung leak in our bathroom ceiling during a heavy rain downfall. Afraid that the leak would worsen as more rain was anticipated within the following days, the wife and I scrambled and contacted numerous companies on Angie's list. Jordan Roof was one of the few companies that replied promptly. Many of the roofing companies were swamped with business and were not able to help and some were no longer doing repairs as they were focusing on new roof businesses only. In any case, the communication with Jordan Roof was very good initially as we would get instant response. However the downtime for response increased to about one day after the initial dialogue. It took a few days to coordinate and we were able to set up an appointment for an inspection and estimate. On the day of the appointment, the roofers called and said they were running few hours behind. They were courteous and apologetic about the tardiness. Upon arrival, they introduce themselves and were very nice. After a quick inspection of the inside leak, they we're confident they can perform the repair the same day. A quote was given and we decided it was fair and move forward. The started the repair right away and completed it promptly. I would use the company again in the future as it was a good experience. My only wish is that the roofers upon entering the client's house would have booties on. It's not a deal breaker for us, but it can be for some. Thank you Jordan Roof for your help.

Jordan Roofing is a top notch company, providing craftsmanship, attention to detail, fair pricing and customer service. Paul and Juan did an outstanding job. This is our second experience with Jordan and we can not recommend them more highly. Bill Jordan is an experienced roofer. His team goes beyond what is required. We highly recommend.

This property has a 19-year-old composite shingle roof for a 1,395 square foot house. Bob came out the day I called, detected source of leak in kitchen/family room ceiling and provided estimate. Two other companies came on subsequent days; one did not detect leak but wanted to replace two vents and do roof maintenance, the other tried to sell an entire new roofing job but I requested a quote for both new roof and another for a patch job and roof maintenance. Jordan Roofing came in at the lowest bid for patch job and maintenance, but I selected them not because they had lowest bid, but because they detected the source of leak and gave 5 year warranty on labor. Very professional and left property free of debris. I would definitely hire them again for any roofing needs.

Bill came on time for the estimate. He walked around and help me diagnose the problem. Scheduling was no problem. When his crew came, they noticed that a pipe was leaking upon opening the roof. HIs crew temporarily covered the roof, allowing me to have a plumber come the next day and fix the pipe. They then came back 2 days later and reclosed the roof. Bill was very understanding and only charged me a minimal fee for the return visit. I am sure it was a big hassle for him but he was courteous enough to work around my plumbing issue. His crew was excellent and cleaned before they left. Would recommend Bill for all your roofing needs. He is very knowledgeable and will make sure his customers are well taken care of.

Selected Jordan because of very high Angie's List ratings and good suggestions and options offered by Bill Jordan when he quated the job. Also, option to cover attic in plastic sheeting since the old wood shingle tear-off was a terrible mess. This was well worth the $350 charge. The tear off was a mess as anticipated, but the sub had a large crew and it was finished in one day. The did, however, fail to do the porch roof. This was not a big problem, since Jordan's crew was able to do this quickly towards the end of the job. Materials arrived on day two, and as I watched the OSB boards being loaded onto the roof, I suddenly realized that there was no radiant barrier. The loading was stopped, and it turned out the supplier had incorrectly filled Jordan's order. They (South Coast Shingle) quickly located the correct material at there Long Beach yard and a truck arrived in good time along with a supervisor who worked hard to make things right. After that, things went quite well. Two days of rain delayed completion, but once they started laying down the shingles, the job moved well to completion. The only other glitch happened when the wrong roof vents were delivered. Again, South Coast Shingle rushed out the correct ones, so no time was lost. The crew leader, Roderigo, was easy to work with and communicated well. After the dust settled, I believe that I received a very good job at a competitive price. John Martinez, Production Mgr., made two trips to our house to apologize for the problems, and to check on one of my concerns. Jordan Roof acted in a very professional manner.

Tim was very professional, showed up a bit early (which was good for me), quickly found the problem, gave me a quote. I accepted the bid and he was done in under an hour. The whole process was professional, fast and fair. Even communicating with the company through angie's list message service was quick. I would use them again, very knowledgeable.

I had a contractor friend build a 200 square foot patio cover attached to my house and sun room.Great job on the patio cover,but unfortunately for me, he was no roofer.After about 5 years,I was getting a lot of leaking from the transition points between house,sun room,and patio cover.I called Jordan Roof Company and the owner Bill came out promptly to give me an estimate.As I recall,he very generously gave my friend(who built the patio cover) credit for " building a good roof for a shed" .Even though Bill was leaving that day for vacation,He emailed an estimate that night.When I called with questions he called me back DURING his vacation! The man works too much. Bill displayed a great sense of humor,and a willingness to explain in detail to the uneducated the whys and hows of the project.The estimate was for removal of the old roofing material down to the wood and haul away.Replace any damaged material (turned out to be three plywood sheet worth@about 182$ including labor). They installed proper flashing at all transition points ,used asphalt primer , and torched a base layer and mineral surface sheet over the wood base.My apologies if that doesn't correctly describe the scope of work or order of steps.My point being there will be no leaking anymore,I am confident of that!! I only wish I knew the minimum of roofing I now possess at the time my patio was built.Two men showed up around 7 am to do the job.I was expecting twice that amount for the work they did.I dont know how they accomplished everything by 5 pm and did such a good job cleaning up the work site with only two people. I could not be more satisfied with Jordan Roof Company than I am after this completed job.I intend to use them to re-roof my house later this year.

Our contact with them was all over the phone/email. That was very professional and they responded quickly. It was just the price. We simply couldn't justify the cost.

Angel accompanied me in the attic to diagnose the exact cause of the leak. The two-man crew removed approximately 4'x8' section of composition shingles, and installed an additional layer of 30lb felt and replaced the shingles with 30 year comp shingles for a very close match. The roof was only about 12 years old so I was happy to be able to fix the problem with an effective patch job. So far, so good.

The work was overall good- my issue was with the contracting process. Too much fudge in how they execute contracts. In my case, they scoped the work to a degree but did not finish the work that day. Fixed around the chimney and replaced facia that was termite damaged. But they did not finish. I signed a contract and they sent a bill, even though the work in the back on the facia was not finished. So I call the guy, nice guy, and they send out a another contract after 3 weeks .. and i am thinking they would simply extend the old contract. So I sign this what i thought was augmented contract. They come out, paint some more, replace more the unifinished facia, and fix the chimney cap that was leaking water and making noise when the rain comes. And they did great work and painted the cap, and some more facia and stucco. and you need to My rating is a good one, but my advice on price is a follows: Play hard ball, and don't sign any contract unless they put all of it in one contract and fix the price better. The two contracts I ended up signing was my fault, should have been more discerning. bottom line, use them, but hold them to their contract and try to get them to lose the variability in that contract.

When I have a contract I expect the person to come by and check on the work and workers. I never saw him again after the estimate.

The owner Paul came to my house and spent 10 minutes looking it over. His secretary called me the next day and advised that a team could be over later in the afternoon to knock out the work. They spent approx 3 hours on the job. They cleaned up the mess and even hauled away the old sky light. Just great service.... Ru...

I can?t say enough good things about my re-roofing experience with the Jordan Roof Co. From the owner, Bill Jordan, who personally came out to give me an estimate, to the office staff to the tear off people and the new roof installers, all were helpful and completely professional. I have a flat roofwhich has been troublesome and had not been replaced in over 25 years. I interviewed and got bids from four companies. I almost didn?t hire the Jordan Co because their bid was the lowest and that supposedly should be a red flag. Also, the company is based in Orange Co and I live in Calabasas in northwestern LA County. I was concerned if there were problem it might be hard to get a quick response. Nonetheless, I decided to hire Jordan Roof and I can say it has been far and away the best experience I have had with a home improvement project. I liked that when the contract arrived in the mail, they included a copy of their Certificate of Liability Insurance so I could see how well they are covered re liability and workman?s comp. Once I sent the signed contract back, the work was scheduled in a week. The tear-off crew were careful to cover my pool. Each day the workers left the property cleaned up. I especially appreciated that when little extras were needed like taking down the frame supporting the basketball hoop, replacing some shingles beneath it and extending a furnace vent that wasn?t tall enough to meet code all these thing were done, no problem. They even installed interior smoke and carbon monoxide alarms that the city required to sign off on the roof inspection. When the final bill arrived it was for the original estimate with no nickel and diming for these ?extras?. Then, after I had paid the bill, I realized that my attic fan that had been working when they started the job was no longer coming on. Within a couple days, they sent a guy out and he got it going again and it continues to function properly. The real test of course will come when we have our first torrential rains. At that point I hope to remember to update this report to say how all my leak issues have been solved! I am one very satisfied customer.

Jordan was out at the property within the hour. The inspection took about 1 1/2. I got back to my office and the roof certificate was issued. They also replaced the ridge caps last Tuesday on the roof. It looked really good. They even went the extra mile and did some area that were not even called out. This was the best experience I have ever had in terms of timeliness, friendliness, professionalism and work quality. Kudos go out to Tim who was my contact person for the quote, during the course of the work and for the final fit-and-finish touches. I like to understand what is being done and appreciated Tim's ability to explain it in lay terms. Luis and his team were like Santa Claus -- they set straight to their task until it was done. Paul kept eyes on scheduling and was able to move up the date when circumstances allowed. And I am a happy camper. The whirlybirds were blissfully silent during the recent high winds and my roof and surrounding area are once again looking tidy and neat. If I ever need help with roof-related matters, I will turn to Jordan Roof Company without hesitation.

An excellent job. I watched the whole job, and particularly was amazed by their method of getting the replacement tiles on the roof. A guy on the ground tossed a tile up to a guy on the roof and it never missed. I was told that they had been doing this for at least 10 years.

I went to see the new roof today, and Jordan Roof did an excellent job. More importantly, he didn't take advantage of a fretful elderly lady. I was so concerned for her after listening to her descriptions of other bidders for the job, and her insurance company was threatening to drop her homeowner's insurance if she didn't get a new roof. This man went out of his way to take care of her job, and her well being. I believe there are angels for people here on earth, and this man was her angel in a very stressful time for her. I would highly recommend this company because this man has character, honesty, integrity & compassion.

We discovered a few leaks while cleaning out our garage right before a rain storm was in the forecast. Bill came out for an estimate the same day I called. I had the estimate within a day or 2. We thought their price was great and Bill was knowledgeable. He knew we were in a hurry due to rain and he said he would try to get guys out that week. They arrived Friday morning on time, worked all day and returned Saturday morning to complete the job. They cleaned up and did great work. We are very impressed with Jordan Roof and will use them in the future.

The owner of the company, Bill Jordon came out and was very professional. He gave me an estimate for work and was very thorough with his inspection. The work was performed today and the crew was punctual and polite. Tim came out and was very detailed in the work they were doing. The area was left very clean. Expecting rain this weekend so we will see how it does. Was told to call the company if there are any problems. Would highly recommend this company.
