This was the second time I had used Mark and Horizon Remodeling, the first time was when they remodeled my master bathroom. The project went along fairly smoothly and it took a little longer than we originally estimated but that was fine as I was out of town and Mark was flexible to adjust to my schedule. He had workers there pretty much everyday and if, for some reason, they couldn't be there, I was told in advance, which I appreciated. The tile was the biggest part of the project and there were only a few complaints overall. Initially, there was some confusion over where I had wanted the workers to mix the grout and cut the tile. I needed to have my backyard free for my dog and after a couple of days, they moved their work to the side of the house. Another issue was that the workers used a couple of my tools (screwdrivers) and step-ladder and one of the screwdrivers later went missing. However, after notifying Mark, it was returned promptly. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and accepted their apology but Mark was gracious enough to offer me the purchase of a new set of screwdrivers and step-ladder (I did buy a new step-ladder). This was a great demonstration of customer service. Mark also made sure the tile was done professionally and corrected the tile installers when they wanted to lay an easier layout in the closet that didn't match the diagonal pattern already set in the office and bathroom. Between Mark and Eli, the project foreman, I felt comfortable that the work would be properly done since I wasn't home all the time. After the tile was done, the bathroom work went fairly quickly. Enna made sure installations were scheduled smoothly and when it came time to select a color for the bathroom, Enna took an hour of her time after work and helped me select a good color as we both looked at samples on our computers. I really appreciated the extra effort she went to help me out and make sure I was happy with the color. Overall, the experience was good and I think this project demonstrated their commitment to make sure their customers are completely satisfied with their work. I would recommend them to my friends and definitely would use them again for my next project.
Description of Work: I had my guest bathroom remodeled to include new travertine floors, new bathtub and travertine tile lining the shower walls. In addition, I had a cherry wood vanity and cabinet put in along with granite countertop, a and new sink, faucet fixtures, mirror and light fixture. They also added an additional electrical outlet in the bathroom. Additionally, they replaced the tile in the entryway and carpet in the office with the same travertine tile as in the bathroom. I wanted all the tile to flow together between the bathroom, office and entryway.

I was looking for replacement of current tile shower with a Sterling acrylic 4 piece snap together unit. Pretty slow response to my email request to inquire whether they might be interested in the job. Turns out the job is too small for them. They indicated their normal minimum job is in the $8000-$10,000 range but they could go as low as $6000 but no lower. They were pushing a new tile shower instead of the Sterling unit and complete bathroom remodel.

Dear Member, We are a general construction company and as you can see on our Angie's profile page our smallest job is $8,000 - WE ARE SORRY YOU DID NOT NOTICE IT EARLIER during the time of our communication we talked on the phone several times & emailed each other, you did change your preference on the products you want to use for your shower remodel and emailed us updates with new products. since you are open to changes, we recommended over the phone using tile instead of rental home acrylic unit, since it is much nicer and looks richer. we recommended you to use another contractors in your area that doing smaller project like you need. as you probably know, every construction company specialized in different products and performing different projects sizes. Please keep us in mind for any bigger projects you will have in the future!!! and Good luck on this project!

Thank you for your wonderful review! Your bathroom is beautiful and we hope you enjoy it. Please keep us in mind for future projects!
Mark Besnos came to our home to measure the bathroom and discuss what we wanted to do. He listened to our ideas and gave us some suggestions. The contract Horizon drew up was complete, concise, and detailed. It listed everything that was to be done, what was included and not included in the price and what additional items would be our responsibility. It also listed the payment schedule which was based on the completion of specific parts of the job. Mark met us at the store to help us choose and coordinate our tile, countertop, and cabinets. Throughout the project, Mark was at our house, at least, 3 times a week to give directions to his workers, to solve problems, and to check on quality. Enna, the office manager, called me almost every day. She would let me know what to expect the next day, when we needed to make certain decisions, when we needed have certain things, such as faucets, for them to install, or just to ask how everything was going. Any time we had a concern it was addressed the next day. Any remodel is stressful but the communication with Mark and Enna was fantastic which helped us to feel in control and reduced the stress. The work was completed on time and the result is beautiful!!
Description of Work: We completely remodeled the secondary bathroom. Everything was taken out including, the bathtub, and we installed a new tile shower and tile floor, new toilet, new vanity, countertop, sinks, faucets, mirror, base molding and paint.

Thank you for your review! We enjoyed working with you and for you on your bathroom remodeling project, Your bathroom is beautiful! Please keep us in mind for future projects.
We enjoyed working with Mark and Enna to remodel and update our master bathroom. Mark was especially helpful during the planning phase when he listened patiently to our endless questions and provided useful information and suggestions that helped us reach decisions about project materials and stylistic choices. After work began, Mark and Enna continued to be very responsive to us regarding scheduling aspects of the work and finalizing decisions about the details. Throughout the process, they stressed that the goal was to create a master bathroom that we would really enjoy, even if that meant occasionally changing our minds about details or adding new work at times. This was our first major renovation project, and we feel that Mark, Enna and their team did a great job guiding us through it and creating a great new room to enhance our home.

We found Horizon using Angie?s List. After reading several reviews, we called them to do an estimate for a complete remodel of our large master bathroom, and updating our kitchen with new countertops and fixtures (keeping the original cabinets), plus some minor lighting changes and replacing all our original toilets. Mark and Enna were very responsive, we received a rough estimate quickly, and a final estimate after spending a few hours with Mark choosing surfaces and floorings. They were able to start right away. They kept to the estimate (except for one issue that was not in their control) and the end products are beautiful. Some of the other well rated contractors would have bid the job cheaper, but we really liked Mark?s ideas and enthusiasm, plus the responsiveness of the office (both Mark and Enna) to calls and emails when any questions came up. It?s definitely a case of you get what you pay for. Mark came by regularly to make sure each finished stage was to his high standards and on occasion had items changed or redone because he felt it could look better. The original bid from Horizon was $39,000 excluding fixtures. It turned out we added several side projects totaling another $13,540 because of what we were seeing, including tiling a second bathroom floor, updating electrical switches throughout the house, adding lighting, adding thresholds throughout the house and carpet repair (we have pets). Each new project was bid individually so we could decide what we really wanted to do or not do. We spent an additional ~$8,000 for the custom fixtures ( 2 copper sinks, 1 kitchen sink and faucet with new disposal, 3 new toilets, 3 showerheads and various controls, custom knobs, faucets, light fixtures, medicine cabinet, etc) which we provided. After all was finished, we feel that we have a refreshed house.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of large master bathroom (rip and replace); update of kitchen with new countertops and fixtures; Tiling of second bathroom; replacement of light fixtures in 3 bathrooms; minor carpet repair; add thresholds at carpet edges; some painting.

Thank you for your review! We enjoyed working with you and for you on your projects. Please keep us in mind for any future projects. We will be happy to help!
We love the place when we went for the open house - but we knew it was dated (except for the kitchen which was renovated in not too distant past before they decided to sell it) but lots of potential. I had one contractor come in the second day after we got the keys, but I was not happy with the overall package. I did not have the confidence that the work will be carefully and meticulous managed as my wife and I are pretty busy and will not have time except for weekends and late night to stop by to check the progress of the work. Very tight timeline as our lease in another house is up and we needed to move in fast. I called up Horizon and spoke to Enna for an appointment, very pleasant to talk to. The day of the appointment, my wife had a client meeting that she was not able to re-schedule. I know it was their policy that both wife and husband, esp. the wife should be present during initial consultation, Mark and Enna were flexible enough to proceed with the consultation. Mark was early and was ready for the consultation. He asked questions, methodically for each area we wanted remodeling, at the same time presenting and recommending options (using his pictures in his iPad from prior projects) as we walk through each area. I would like to note that I was impressed by his honesty when he suggested about the rounded corners for the baseboards and the crown moldings which was never mentioned by the first contractor I met the week before. Mark proceeded with his measurements (note: the first contractor did not even measure) and took detailed pictures. In a span of a day, I believe, I got their quote, which was very competitive. We had a couple of changes and after negotiations, we agreed with the final price to meet the next day for the contract and scope of work. This time my wife was present and Mark proceeded to explain each scope and presented (again for my wife's final selection) the possible selections and options. We signed the scope of work and decided to have everything started. Down payment was surprisingly low, and the proposed payment schedule as proposed was very reasonable (based on when they finish each area or in case of carpets, when they need to order these). Mark provided copies of their licenses, insurance, etc. Work proceeded methodically, Enna coordinating getting the necessary approval and sign off of each options we decided upon. Work started really fast and methodically. As I was busy, I was never in the construction site when the Horizon team was working. I usually just stopped by at night to see the progress of the work and my wife and I are usually surprised at the progress. I called or emailed Enna for feedback and questions and these concerns are promptly addressed. Enna was very pleasant on these calls and very responsive. I was surprised at the attention to detail and honesty shown by Mark. My wife and I noted that there was some issues in the installation of the window moldings. Before I can even point it out, Mark have had the installed moldings replaced and installed and finished to his liking, which has exceeded my expectation. It shown his attention to detail and honesty, even to have his people redo a work that did not meet his standard. We had a couple of change orders (additional, we thought needed to be made as well). Despite of these additions to the original scope of work, Mark and Enna completed our remodeling in the same period we had originally agreed. Mark had additional individuals come out to help in the remodeling - we avoided extending our lease. There were a couple of minor follow ups after the work was completed, but were addressed promptly. The biggest benefit for me dealing with Mark and Enna is avoiding headache and unnecessary distractions to me and my wife since dealing with them was easy and the work was done according to your liking. Please note however, that due to demands of my work for the past couple of months, I was unable to give them their review here promptly.

It was a pleasure working with Horizon from start to finish! When I first met with Mark Besnos, it was clear that he had an eye for detail; which is why I chose to go with Horizon over others. Mark had some great design ideas, and helped me pick out tile, cabinets, and countertops that were high-quality, beautiful, and within my budget. Everything was done very professionally, Mark drew up a detailed contract for the entire job, and all changes were made with addendums. Mark also provided me with all of the relevant licenses and insurance documents without me having to ask. In the end Mark made sure every last detail was perfect. Enna Eskin provided the perfect complement to Mark, and did an amazing job managing the project. She was always super friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and was great about using email and text to keep in touch while I was busy at work. Enna kept me informed of what was happening throughout the project, and also let me know ahead of time when there were things that I needed to take care of, sign, decide on, purchase, etc. The Horizon work crews were friendly, and considerate of my home, work and travel schedules, and pets. They worked very hard, and performed high-quality work. They did a good job of protecting my floors and furniture, and keeping the mess to a minimum. Overall, I love the new look and feel of my bathrooms and fireplace. Everything turned out beautifully, and the entire project was completed on time and within budget. Thanks Horizon!!!

Mark and Enna were very professional and kept us updated on the job status. Thanks to Mark, who is a perfectionist, for catching all of the items that needed to be corrected during the job. Some of the work crew leads, however, were not always as cooperative. On several occasions, when a problem was identified on the job, their initial response was to indicate that it was not their problem, or they were not the cause of it. This condition was not conducive to a cooperative working relationship. These conditions, however, were solved when Mark or Enna were made aware of it, and eventually, everything was done sufficiently to the owner's (and Mark's) satisfaction. In the final result, thanks to Mark, everything was done to our satisfaction! 12/10/12 - I recently had a plumber perform some corrective action to the work performed by Horizon personnel. There were cracks in the drain line that resulted in work performed by Horizon to correct a leak found by the inspector. In addition, it was found that the PVC piping connected to the wall were not glued together. It's not clear whether the PVC inside the wall has the same problem. As a result, I have changed the Quality rating in my assessment.
Description of Work: Remodeled master bathroom by performing the following tasks after gutting original bathroom configuration:: 1) Expanded shower stall to include shower bench and re-tiled shower stall with travertine tile 2) Relocated toilet to provide added shower space 3) Installed new vanity and medicine cabinet 4) Installed new travertine tile floor 5) Installed new vanity lighting and vent fan An additional task was to install a new porcelain tile floor in a second bathroom, remove older wall mirror and install two new ones..

The whole experience with Horizon was a pleasure, from planning, choosing materials, to workmanship, to follow-up. They were always nice, competent and professional. Mark expects excellent quality work and comes by daily to check! He even had his workers redo a section of floor that he didn't like, and replace some cabinet doors. Workers were always on time, and were respectful, competent, and cleaned up daily. "The customer is always right" is a hallmark of this company. Mark, the owner, was always available and responsive to concerns. Enna, the office manager, was really friendly, responsive, and helpful. All the work was done on time and the whole project was finished ahead of schedule! We are perfectionists and Mark responded to every little concern, fixing details other people may not have even noticed. Instead of choosing custom cabinets, we chose prefab. We wish we hadn't, as we are not happy with the quality of the very thin finish. So if you want high quality fixtures, windows, cabinets, lighting, do your research and request the brand you want. It was wonderful dealing with such a professional, talented team. I recommend them very highly. P.S.In June we had a small concern about a light fixture and caulking behind the sink. They came right out to take care it!
Description of Work: Complete remodel of kitchen area. Gutted kitchen and family room area including sliding door and windows.Ran new gas line for stove top. Designed new kitchen and turned area into a "great room". Rebuilt exterior wall and put in big windows. Installed new sliding door, all appliances, tile floor, countertops, lighting, removed wallpaper, painted, scraped popcorn ceiling, installed cabinets.

The entire project took approximately 11 weeks. Mark is a very hands-on contractor, and was involved in every facet of the job. Having one's home torn up and having workmen in the home for this period of time is a challenge, but that is going to be the case on any job of this scope. Mark was upfront about the cost, and provided a very detailed estimate and schedule of work to be done. He was very helpful in helping to pick out the cabinets, granite, tile, and plumbing items and fixtures, even accompanying me to a number stores to pick out the necessary items. Enna was good about keeping posted as to each day's scheduled work, and there were very few down days in which no work was performed. Mark and I were able to work out any problems which cropped up, which are a given on any job this big and were actually not that bad, such as water damaged subflooring in the master bath shower area. Mark created a schedule of payments which was acceptable as the work progressed. Mark's biggest asset, in my opinion, is his creativity with ideas to enhance the final appearance of the rooms, as well as his demand of his subs that every facet of the work be completed to his and the homeowner's satisfaction. There were a number of relatively minor items that I wanted changed or otherwise dealt with, and Mark ensured that these were completed. Finally, Mark added numerous small touches to various parts of the rooms' appearance that were not in the contract, for which I was not charged extra for, and which further improved the final product.
Description of Work: This project involved a complete teardown and remodeling of three bathrooms and the kitchen. The house is approximately 35 years old, and no improvements had been made to date. In addition, a wall was extended in the den and four windows were removed and filled in. Two patio covers were also demolished and removed. The kitchen involved complete semi-custom cabinets, a granite countertop, removal of old tube lighting and replacement with spot lighting with crown molding. A stone backsplash was installed, as well as additional lighting. New appliances were installed (cost of appliances not included in contractor's fee). In the downstairs powder room, cabinets were installed, tile flooring with border, new toilet, new lighting, and a custom mirror were installed as well. In the upstairs guest bathroom, new cabinets, a custom mirror, toilet, lighting, tile flooring, and a new tub with tile and new tub enclosure were installed. In the master bath, new cabinets, two custom mirrors, toilet, new lighting, and tile flooring with border were installed. A large walk-in shower was created with extensive tile work. All bathrooms had new granite countertops installed, and all bathrooms and the kitchen were repainted. All lighting fixtures, bathroom fixtures, toilets, sinks, and tub were not part of the cost quoted for the remodeling itself. Eleven new interior doors were installed and painted. The existing terracotta floor in the kitchen, dining room and entryway was cleaned, stripped, and sealed, and new tile was installed in the dining room. New floor tile was installed in the laundry and rear entryway from garage. New floor molding was installed and painted in all areas in which tile work was done.

My family recently went through a devastating flood that occurred while no one was home for over a month. The entire house became filled with mold and all our possessions inside had to be thrown away, while the house was stripped bare to the studs. It has been a very traumatic process, and we needed the BEST contractor there is to fix up our home of 24 years. After reading many positive, encouraging reviews here on Angie's List, Horizon was at the top of our list. The prices seemed fair, people seemed satisfied with the services performed, and it was close to home (Yorba Linda). I called the offices on Thursday 6/14 around 1pm, and spoke with the receptionist. I explained to her our situation and asked if someone could come out, see the project, make measurements, and write up an estimate for us. She said, no, that wasn't possible and we had to drive out to their offices to choose which material we would like. I kindly told her that we weren't sure what material we would like at the moment, but we could discuss it after speaking with a representative who has at least seen our home, and given us enough confidence to trust them with our beloved home that was in ruins. She rudely would not agree, and after a few failed attempts at kindly persuading her why we needed someone reliable, she hung up on me. I thought that my cell service had dropped the call, so I called again, only to hear her raise her voice at me about how they absolutely would not come to our house, and that was final. When I tried explaining to her again, how two other local contractors were able to offer this service, she hung up on me again. This time I realized she had hung up on me, but I was in a predicament because their reviews are so fantastic here on Angie's List. So I called three more times after, and no one answered. It was as if I was talking to a teenager. What kind of adult in the service industry treats potential customers in this fashion? I was very angry at the way I was treated and honestly disheartened and hurt, especially because I was nothing but respectful towards her. As a result of this experience I was forced to come on here and give them an honest review of what happened. I can't speak for how well their projects turn out, and their prices, but I gave everything else an F. I still cannot believe how extremely rude and uncaring she was. Societal views don't hold receptionists in the highest esteem, but I disagree. They are extremely important employees and I want to emphasize just how important that position is. The receptionist is the first means of contact and give an initial impression as a reflection of the company. After my experience I had to let you, the potential consumer, as well as the company know how they lost my services for good, and I will be sure NOT to recommend you, until customer service quality is improved, which is a shame because this was a BIG project. The other two contractors I contacted with top rating on Angie's list, In-line General Contracting and Sol Construction provided awesome customer service, and not only were willing to meet with us, get to know us and allow us to get to know them while discussing the project, but gave estimates as well. Horizon, thanks to your receptionist, you lost an estimated $140,000 job. I am not suggesting firing the receptionist because we all have bad days, but please explain to her that how she acted is not the way to be doing business. I hope this review was hopeful. Thanks for reading, and good luck choosing a general contractor that truly cares about the consumer.

Dear member, We will be glad to help you with your complete house remodel project! We are a very good company, and all our happy customers with their absolutely great reviews are the proof for that. As you can clearly see on our profile page, any water damage project with open insurance claim, the claim should be closed before our first meeting at your property (for insurance purposes) We have years of experience in Design & Construction, and will be the best to know to meet at Customer house first. And NOT at the showroom, since it will be investing more time from us without having the right tools. We honestly believe that your family member that called the office had a slight language barrier, since the main part about the insurance open file is NOT mentioned in your review, and instead you are upset for us inviting you to the showroom without visiting the property first, and that simply can’t be since it is NOT our policy! Please don’t judge us over Language misunderstanding over the phone, if you truly looking to find a Local Contractor you can trust You should give us a chance and call us. this time please ask for the office manager Enna, she will explain and answer all your questions. We hope to work together in the Future! Good Luck!!!

I talked to Enna on the phone about two weeks ago to inquire about a remodel of 3 fireplaces, interior and exterior painting, replace baseboards through out the entire house. She put me on hold for at least 5 to 10 minutes without explaining why. When she did come back to the phone she was not particularly friendly and she demanded to know whether my husband would be involved in the planning of the project. After I informed her that I would be doing the planning and then go over with my husband since he does not have the time for the process, she tried to persuade me that he should be there. She also told me that they would not take a job less than $8,000, however, in her estimation this job should be more than that amount, therefore she would call me back when they have a job in my neighborhood to make an appointment to meet with me. We live in south OC which is around 22 miles from her company. I feel that she's looking for an excuse not to send someone over to give me an estimate while she could just tell me honestly that she doesn't want the job. So far we have not heard from her or anyone from that company.

Dear member, Please don’t be upset for our policy, it is Not personal! As you can clearly see on our profile page, after years of Design & Construction experience we have a policy about having the husband & wife available for our consultation. Our Consultation is Free, but our time is Expensive! As for every house project, both owners decisions are important for us, so no one will be working hard on a design that the husband or the wife will end not to like, not to mention price difference from design to design, we decided it will be much easier to meet with everybody at the same time. We truly respect your husband’s time, this is the reason we offer late evening appointments (Even at 8 pm if necessary) OR Sat appointments to accommodate everybody’s time. The only one thing we ask for is for you to respect our time as well! We wish you good luck finding a good contractor!

One of the original reasons for choosing the vendor for an RFQ was their guarantee of a response in 2 business hours. They did not respond in 2 hours so I gave them a B rating. When they did respond the very first thing they asked was that I either delete the review or change the rating to an A, insisting they had responded in a reasonable amount of time. We set up a meeting time, on the day of the meeting they informed me that since I had not changed the rating they did not feel comfortable doing business with me and cancelled the meeting. This company clearly has its priorities wrong, they are more interested in good reviews than in serving the customer. The upside is I found this out early in the process.

The project went very well and Mark put in hours and hours brainstorming different possibilities. He truly listens to what you want and keeps in mind your budget. He oversees all the workers, who were wonderful, too. Any little concern that pops up, he and Enna were there to answer questions and troubleshoot. The job was done exactly as scheduled which is amazing. Everyone raves about the job that Horizon did!
Description of Work: If you want a reliable, top notch company, then Horizon Construction Company is the one to hire. From start to finish, Mark and Enna will be there to insure that every little detail goes as planned. I had two complete bathrooms and a dressing area remodeled. Mark, the owner, has great ideas, keen attention to detail, and a drive to please that is rare these days. The job included remodeling the master bath, tearing out a shower, vanity, and flooring. The new bathroom included installation of shower tile with dual tile inserts and a beautiful frameless shower door. A pedestal sink, toilet, mirror, lighting, and travertine flooring were also included. The master dressing area and closet were gutted and a beautiful vanity, matching mirror, granite countertops, and lighting were installed. The guest bath had the bath tub removed and a new one was put in its place with a tile surround. A new vanity with a granite countertop and matching mirror were installed. All of the areas now have a truly elegant style a very reasonable price.

Thank you for taking the time to review our company, we appreciate it!
We are so glad we made the decision to select Horizon Construction and Remodeling for our project. We were looking for firm that provided quality, completed within the schedule established, and were competitive. Horizon exceeded on all three of our conditions. Mark Besnos and Enna Eskin were both hands on throughout the entire project that included all new flooring, new kitchen, new bathrooms, new banister, rewiring of electrical and new plumbing for gas line to kitchen that was previously all electrical. The work started on the day we selected and completed several weeks ahead of the completion date. Not only did Mark review the quality of work on a continual basis; but also, his construction crew was friendly, showed up each day on time and found quick solutions to minor issues that occur in construction projects. Horizon provided us with the WOW factor we were looking for and continue to receive as friends and family stop by to visit.

The whole process went pretty smoothly, except for a mix up on the tile for the third bathroom, which was taken care of quickly and to my satisfaction. I wanted the first stage completed before Thanksgiving, and Mark said it would. And it was!
Description of Work: We had Horizon completely remodel three bathrooms in our 1964 home. We did two of the bathrooms first and after they were completed, they started the third. I gave them a budget, and they worked very hard to stay in that budget and give me ideas on where to save money. Mark, the owner, has a very good eye, and catches little details. Almost all of the workers are his staff, and they show up as scheduled and clean up after each day. He sub contracted a couple of items, but they were professional also. There are always a few snags along the way, but Mark made sure to fix them, and that I was completed satisfied. I love my new bathrooms, and I would recommend Horizon.

Mark and Enna were very helpful through the process with the final results being excellent. The remodel had a few twists which delayed the timeline for completion, but the end result was good. Obtained 3 quotes and Horizon was the middle quote. Always suggest making sure scope of work is as detailed as possible to avoid later confusion and added change orders Overall, we would use Horizon again.

Thanks for the kind words, it's great working with you!
I had a general face-lift done on my master bathroom which was completed a month ago. I had a few contractors selected from Angie's List and decided to go with Mark and his company, Horizon Construction, even though it wasn't the lowest bid I received. The reason I went with Horizon was that Mark provided me a realistic design of what I was looking for and didn't push me to re-design my bathroom by unnecessarily moving things around (sinks and tub), unlike another contractor. I had asked him about some of the design suggestions previously given to me and he explained to me that they would not work based on the space limitations of my bathroom. He didn't try and talk me into a whirlpool bathtub like some of the others and listened to what I wanted in my bathroom. The construction process went fairly smoothly. The foreman that came to oversee the job (Mike) appeared to be very meticulous and made sure things were done to his level of expectations. They floated both the floor and shower area, as opposed to installing some cement board, and when he wasn't satisfied with the layout of the accent tiles around the tub and in the shower, he made the tile installers redo certain sections. I was concerned about the amount of dust that this project was going to cause and even though there was a light dusting in and around the bedroom, I felt the workers did their best at trying to control the amount of dust that was generated from the demolition process. I also appreciated the fact that they laid down a covering over my hardwood floors and down the stairs so the entire walkway from the front door to the bathroom was covered. Toward the end of the project, Mike questioned me about the location of the towel bar and we were able to discuss that it would not be appropriate to hang it in its previous location. I felt the attention to detail was very good and they were quick to come over and fix a couple of minor problems after the job was completed. The only complaint I had was that some tile sealer was spilled on my carpet which caused it to discolor, however, I would likely use this company again.
Description of Work: Remodeling of master bathroom, tearing out floor and shower tile, removing duel sink vanity, bathtub and mirror. Installation of new floor shower tile and vanity backsplash, new duel drop-sink vanity with granite countertop, frameless shower door and enclosure, new tub and small storage cabinet above the toilet.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. Your candid review helps other homeowners searching for reliable professionals.
The experience was good overall. I am use to doing all of the repairs and remodeling myself but this project required slab work and a lot of tile so we decided on a contractor. Mark gave us a detailed scope of work and payment schedule when we started the job which was followed very closely. We did not know what to expect with workers coming into our house every day but we were pleasantly surprised on how nice all of the workers were. The floor and carpet were covered every day and debris was removed at the end of each day. There were a few changes that needed to be made during the project and Mark was helpful in the decision making. I am pretty particular on how finished work needs to look and the workers along with Mark and the foreman made corrections and changes with no questions asked. All of the inspections and permits were set up and covered by the contractor which was helpful. Enna kept me in the loop every day on all of the progress and got answers for me when needed. She was always pleasant on the phone and got back to me with e-mail, text, and phone calls.
Description of Work: We had a bathroom from 1964 completely remodeled. The original bathroom was about 10 ft. by 4-1/2 ft. with a tub/ shower and dividing wall. We had the tub removed and one wall torn out and rebuilt to expand the room by 2-1/2 ft. We had the original window removed and replaced it with a custom size window which was built into the shower wall. This required structural wall modifications and outside stucco work. We moved all of the plumbing to allow for a large tile shower to be built. This required cutting the slab foundation and installing new drain plumbing for the shower, toilet and sink. New vent pipes were required and had to be installed in the new wall and thru the roof. The shower required extensive plumbing to allow for a ceiling rain can, body sprays and a hand held head. We added a fan/ light which required venting thru the roof. The shower was tiled from floor to ceiling and the remainder of the room was also tiled about 40" up from the floor. A frameless 3/8" glass door was also installed. Two recessed lights were installed in the shower ceiling along with vanity lighting.
