Description of Work: We have no experience with contractors but we found ourselves a gem! Horizon, its owner Mark and all of its employees exceeded our expectations! Their work is exceptional and they integrity and respect for their clients is outstanding!

Description of Work: We have just started, but so far, I am VERY PLEASED. The company seems very concerned with customer service, and communication. My job is supposed to be finished in November...so talk to me then!

Description of Work: Remodel master bath shower and toilet area, excluding dressing area. I supplied all tile, toilet fixture, shower hardware & valves. They supplied all labor, shower drain, copper tubing, all support structure and grout for the tile which covered shower walls, ceiling, and floor, plus dressing area floor. Shower enclosure was installed by a different contractor and not included in the price. They did a great job. I am very pleased with their work.

Description of Work: Very responsive with scheduling an appointment. HOWEVER the from horizon who gave us the quote and would be the project manager was extremely pushy and got upset and borderline rude when we would not sign the contract to commit to the service on the spot. He was upset when we said we wanted at least a day or so to think about the quote he gave us. Well, the reason we did not sign up was because he was pushy and the quote he gave was thousands above other reputable companies. I will never call them again. If you read other reviews you will see that others have had similar experiences. I do not doubt that they perform quality work...what I disliked was their business tactic and personal interaction skills.

Description of Work: Replaced all kitchen countertop tile, small kitchen shelf/desk, wet bar counter in family room, exterior tile counter (outside of kitchen) with granite and installed new kitchen sink. Also replaced tile floors in foyer, kitchen and master bath with travertine tile. Horizon's workers were courteous and skilled. We had a couple of slight hiccups with the plumbing (a miscommunication regarding the disposal and the plumber did not have the correct fittings so he had to leave and then return later) but no big deal. Horizon was very prompt in responding (either in person or by phone) to any questions or concerns we had during the process. A job well done.

Description of Work: We were very pleased with the service. Mark & Enna work very well together |and as Project Manager and Office Manager they keep their contractors |scheduled and Enna is on top of the project as it moves along. We had our |kitchen cabinets re-finished (100 lf) and had the ceiling w/can lights along with pull-out drawers and appliance garages. All new appliances were removed and replaced. When you create your scope of work be sure to be VERY clear on what you want done to keep the extra work to a minimum. The quality of work was excellent and Mark made sure every detail was complete.

Description of Work: I live an historic home and keeping it as original as possible was important to me and Mark agreed. His company relocated my washer and dryer into a hallway closet and re-designed an area of my small kitchen with quality cabinets. Mark and his team communicators - Anna and Enna - were terrific. His cabinet maker did not arrive when scheduled, was not available for consultation and when he did come to do the work, it was evening time on a Friday or Saturday. I am pleased with the job and the other crews were punctual. I would use Horizon again.

Description of Work: I wanted to have a full living room remodel. This involved closing off a fireplace, building a built in entertainment center, retiling the floor, painting the room and moving a pony wall.

Description of Work: I called this company and they sent a representative out to my home for an estimate. Everything was going well and the presentation was very professional. I had a feeling that they were going to be above our budget and I voiced my concern but we continued with the presentation. I told him that we would not be making a decision that night as we were still waiting for a couple of bids to come in. That is when things took a bad turn. The representative started being pushy and wanted us to commit on the spot and told us the offer would only be available that night. I was put off by the tactic and we decided this was not the company for us. I did a little more research and found out this was not just my experience. It was too bad because based on the presentation it looks like they might have done a nice job.

Description of Work: Got an estimate for a repair to our master bathroom

Description of Work: I called 10/22/13 to set up an appointment for an estimate to have two bathroom to be completely remodeled. In speaking with Enna, she needed to confirm if our address in N San Gabriel Valley was in their service arera. She said she will call me back. As of this writing, 11/3/13, I am still waiting to hear back. Since 10/22/13, other contractors contacted have already contacted me. An estimate from Horizon would have been welcomed.

Description of Work: I am not one for much on reporting, good or bad, however I feel like people should be warned about this company. They had great reviews on here, so I figured I had a great shot at getting a good service done. I am still looking to get two bathrooms remodeled. Once I emailed Horizon through Angie's List they replied 3-4 days later asking for a phone number, which I provided. I never heard from them, so proceed to call a week later to try and schedule an appointment, the lady stated, she needed to check and would call me back, I never heard from her, so I proceeded then again to call and got the same story and now it has been 4 days and still no return call. I feel this is very bad customer service.

Description of Work: This was initial contact askig for an estimate/guidance and suggestions on a room addition. The person became to demanding and insisted that both my wife and I be prensent for initial visit to discuss what we were thinking about doing. I informed the person tha my wife may or may not be available on the scheduled appointment since her schedule varies. She said I will hold while you contact your wife to confirm she would be there. I said no I would not do t,his it's just a initial meeting to get a ball park estimate of the cost, she insisted and I said you really don't want by business and ended the conversion. The attitude told me they did not care about my business or 50k to 75k it would have brought to their buniness. I believe that I am the customer and for them to win my business they should have not insisted my wife be there, they do not know what my wife does nor is it necessary for me to explain.

Description of Work: Enna was very friendly and professional on the phone. Mark came out to give us a bid. He was on time. He seemed professional however he didn't seem to be very interested in the job- maybe too small for them??? We wanted to add a walk-in closet to the outside of the master bedroom- so basically a small room addition (165 sq feet), including a roof, with very little electrical. I guess he really wasn't interested in the job because his quote was almost double of what other Angie's List contractors were quoting. His quote for this simple addition was $32K.
