 + -1 moreThe job went well overall. I even got free floor cleaner, and floor protectors for my furniture. But for $6,700, I expected nothing less. So even if they are a bit overpriced, they took care of me and cannot rate their warranty policy because I haven't needed them to fix anything - the floor still looks like the day they put it in-minus a few insignificant scratches from myself. I saved a few hundred bucks moving my own furniture and repainting my own base so I can't rate them on that stuff either.
Description of Work: A & M gave me an estimate, sold, and installed some high quality laminate flooring in my home. the square footage of install was about 700-750 square feet. This was about 6 months ago, so this review is a little dated but the workmanship is still holding up. First off the salesman was a pretty nice guy (Dennis, Danny, or something of that nature), he looks like an old football player. He was very professional and was very helpful in the showroom. I was actually looking at another company and wandered over into A & M just to check it out. I was initially going to install the flooring myself since I have access to tools and my best friend is a finish carpenter by trade and has done plenty of flooring and was willing to help - but after getting an estimate and the quality of the flooring (Mannington) I decided to go with A & M. Yes, the price is quite higher compared to other contractors, but the installers were very professional and did a clean job. Best of all they both spoke English. 2 guys did the install and the name slips my mind but he drove a big white Chevy Dually with tinted windows. They were both very nice and professional and did a grade A job. The only bad experience was with the financing department - I wanted to take advantage of the 1 year no interest financing. Well, the financing department billed my account about 3 weeks before I even found out about it. I received a bill in the mail and was like what the heck. So I quickly made an appointment to have them do the floors since they had already billed me. Within 2 weeks later I had my floors installed and finished. It was a pretty minor incident but was really annoying. I have contractors as friends and they usually don't expect payment in full until the job is completed. But it probably had something to do with the whole financing approval stuff, whatever.
