I thought it was high. They came over and inspected the current heating situation. They identified what they were looking to add. They were very professional and considerate. They were fine. They were just too expensive. I don't recall waiting for the quote. It was given that day or the next day. I would give them top marks, besides the fact, they were too expensive.

I didn't accept his bid.

I dealt with Cris Young, the owner. This was the second job done for us. The existing system was old and inefficient. They were very neat and cleaned up all debris. I am quite happy with their work once again.

From my fisrt contact with Oak Island I was impressed with their professionalism, punctuality, and courtesy. The sales rep who visited our house for the initial estimate of the work l was contemplating immediately understood what I wanted and provided me with excellent suggestions for making it happen. I have had the system in my home for over one now and everything is operating as promised. The installation went as scheduled and the workers were very competent and completed all the work in a professional manner. More importantly, when they were done with the installation my home was left clean and all job related debris was removed from the property. I am very satisfied with the company and would gladly recommend anyone considering have heating and air conditioning work done talk them before proceeding with the work.

My furnace went out this year and I was without heat for 12 days. I needed to replace the old one and Oak Island Heating and Air Conditioning installed a new furnace for me. I didn't have any problems after they installed it and they were very nice and worked within my budget. I am very happy and I hope it will last for a long time to come.

One of the owners came to my house, and we just really liked him. He was very down to earth, and very straight forward. He seemed very honest. I feel like his prices were fair. His workmen were very good. I have nothing negative to say about them.

Excellent. Very professional - during sales/initial contact and installation work. This company has a very good reputation as we noticed at the recent San Diego home show. We found them via Costco as they have an arrangement to provide HVAC Installation for the Escondido Costco store. Without the discount, the price seemed a little high for the unit we purchased, but with the discounts it was definitely reasonable. The owner stopped by to deliver some lumber needed for a specially base for the old furnace and talked to me for quite some time about the company and neighborhood - which was another reassuring measure.

I don’t remember how much we spent on the service. They were great. They were good and they answered all our questions. They brought things to change out which was nice. I don’t remember the price except that at that time it seemed good to us. I don’t remember exactly what it was. We will use their services again in the future.

Arrived on time and completed job in one day.

Oak Island arrived at my home at the scheduled time on a Saturday to accomodate mine and my wife's schedule. They completed the job in a timely and professional manner. The job required the building of a new base for the furnace in the attic which was completed though work was not part of the original estimate. All work was completed to my satisfaction with no increase in price, no add on's, or extras were billed. The owner of the company visited my home during the installation process to insure that the work was progressing to his and my satisfaction. All in all I am completely satisfied with the job and would highly recommend this company to anyone who is interested in having heating and air conditioning work done. In fact I have already provided their name to two of my friends who are thinking of having some work done.

Comparison with other estimates for comparable equipment Oak's estimate of $9089 ($9446 less options not installed) was greater than that of Mauzey at $6590 that did the installation. Estimates from other installers were $5590, $11314 and $11002; all for comparable equipment. All prices are full, taxed, installed prices, exclusive of rebates in effect at the time.

Could not be happier! Called for 3 bids on Monday morning. Oak Island was the lowest. They started the same day. Their crew worked non-stop. I never even saw them break for lunch. They finished 2 days later and even did the electrical. They did the job for their estimate which was $1500 less then the others. Always get 3 bids but make sure Oak Island is one of them.

CHRIS YOUNG WAS MY MAIN CONTACT AT OAK ISLAND. HE WAS VERY FLEXIBLE AND PROFESSIONAL IN DESIGNING A SYSTEM THAT WORKS VERY WELL IN OUR NEW ADDITION. HIS CREW WAS FAST, COURTEOUS AND VERY ACCOMMODATING AS TO WHEN THE WORK WAS DONE. THEY LEFT THE PROJECT VERY CLEAN AND COMPLETE. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY.
