Description of Work: I had 12 windows and 2 sliding glass doors installed as vinyl replacements for 40+ year old windows. I also had three other window contractors bid who offered similar quality windows. While another was close to Coughlin's price. Coughlin not only guaranteed their work, but also have the best follow-up policy of any. (I believe it is because windows and doors is all Coughlin does, they offer really only one product, Symington, as a sole proprietor operation they are very interested in establishing a reputation for quality work and highly value their long-term reputation in the community. Coughlin was great to work with from start to finish! From work proposal thru window measurement and ordering and then installation, the work was done professionally, on time and the crew (in my case 4 men) were very courteous. They treated my window and door frames carefully (no discernible damage), and cleaned up well after the job. I now recommend them highly to others.

Description of Work: They were really great! From the first meeting and estimate their employee was very well informed of the various styles and options available. After we had decided the windows we wanted they came and remeasured the openings, assuring that the fit would be perfect. The installation went smoothly and on time. We are very pleased with the whole process and recommend them as the best. +

+ 1 moreGerald has done an exceptional job with everything he has done for us. His work is top notch. He arrives on time with a smile on his face and works hard the entire time he is here. His rates are fair. He also lets my two boys tag along after him and is willing to work around their nap schedule a must when working around our house.
Description of Work: Gerald has done a handful of jobs for us, some smaller and some larger. One the smaller side, he has fixed doors so they close, patched holes, and installed dimmers. He has also replaced doors, and installed new cabinets in the garage and livingroom.

Description of Work: Inspect attic insulation. Remove contaminated insulation and replace with new bats. Vacuum under all bats and remove ash and other contaminants left by the recent firestorm. Design and install new removable screen covers for roof vents. Two men, seven hours.

He is punctual, knowledgeable, kind, does what he says he will do for the price he quoted and takes real pride in his work. He installed the doors perfectly with great attention to detail. The patio cover and doors were completed in the time he said it would take. He left his work area neater than he found it! I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: Gerald changed an existing sliding door to a French door and converted a 4x6 window into a French door. He also built a 12 x 16 wood patio cover that blended perfectly with an existing cover.

+ -1 moreOne word - EXCELLENT. The owner of the Handyman Service, Gerald Coughlin, is always working on site (not just an estimate provider and then disappears). Gerald and his partner are both great guys, very friendly and they know their stuff. They work very well together. Each job they did was done right the first time. They didn't rush but didn't waste time. They cleaned up every area spotlessly after they finished. I almost hate to recommend these guys so highly because I think when the word gets out on how good the are, I'll have to wait in line for their help again. They cared that I was totally happy with everything they had done. I was. Would recommend the Gerald Coughlin's Handyman Services highly.
Description of Work: This handyman and his helper put down vinyl sheeting on a bathroom floor, shaved a front door and two bedroom doors. They also painted the interior chimney box in the living room with a dark accent color. The chimney box was about 20 feet high over the fireplace. Some very tricky angles were involved.

We have had several handymen and he, by far, is the best. As the President of our BOD, I would highly recommend him for both complex and personal owner work.
Description of Work: Mr. Coughlin performed several repairs to our condominium complex. He painted, did some construction and general repairs.
