We couldn't have had a better experience with Gerald and Diane. The customer service was beyond excellent, prices were the most competitive and you just felt good to give business to such good people. If you're in the market for doors or windows then I would highly suggest them.

This was a really easy process. Gerald walked us thru all the different options that we were able to specify on the window order. The windows did arrive a bit late ( I needed to shift my exterior paint work a week) but everything went in smoothly. My only complaint is that some of the window caulking got on our red leather couch. We didn't notice right away since it was in a corner we hardly see but the stuff did eventually come off without any leather damage/discoloration.

We had multiple quotes from larger companies that left us with a bad taste in our mouth as we were misquoted in both instances in order to try and obtain our business. After striking out on two of the better known window companies I read reviews about Simonton Windows and heard only good things about them so I decided to have a consultation with one of their local representatives. I was contacted almost immediately to set up an in home consultation by Coughlin Windows and was told on the phone that it would be the owner of the company that would meet us at our property. The owner was very down to earth and straight forward, not pushy or a typical salesperson. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and even expanded further to provide me with further information and options that I would have never thought of, and did not think of with other companies that provided us with estimates. The owner, believes strongly in the product and is there to give you the best price and not oversell anything you dont need. The price that he provided for the windows was well below the other estimates we received, plus we also got an Angies List Member discount and a discount for signing the contract the day of the estimate. The install went well and they did a fantastic job. I remember my dad came by just after they were installed and complimented the install and stated how much better of a job Coughlin did with the install then the comapny that installed new windows in their house. Only one minor setback to the whole process was that one of our windows got broken in transit from factory to Coughlin, but we were informed straight away and the remaining window was installed two weeks after the other windows. We have a bay window in our house that we did not replace, but plan to use Coughlin again for this in the near future. He also offered us a further discount ifwe chose to go forward with the install of the bay window within the next year. Overall great experience and would not use anyone else again to replace windows in any home and would recommend to everyone in their service area.

They were great! They installed a sliding door where a regular door had been. The work and products were top notch.

Everything went smoothly from start to finish with this project. Our contact at Coughlin, MIchael Gaynor, was great and super knowledgeable. He even helped us out with information for a new skylight. While the price was one of the higher quotes we received, we ended up going with Coughlin because we felt good about working with them. On the day of installation two of their employees showed up to do the work. They were on time, friendly, and did an excellent job. All of our windows look great, and we are super happy with them. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for new windows!

Two weeks prior to installation, Gerald Coughlin came to the house to take measurements. He provided detailed computer generated specs of all the windows and doors which were easy for us to supply to our HOA for approval. It went very well. The two workers were very prompt, worked quietly and efficiently, cleaning up after themselves. The doors and windows, which have a slight greenish cast, are easy to operate and look nice especially the 2 fixed windows overlooking our garden which Gerald recommended to replace the sliders.

Michael from Coughlin came out to take rough measurements in order to provide an estimate. We were looking to replace the 4 sliding windows and patio door. He was knowledgeable, answered all our questions and was able to leave an estimate, literature, and references before he left. We decided to just do the windows for now since a single hinged outswing patio door was going to cost as much as the 4 windows. We'll probably do the patio door at a later time. Once we decided to proceed, Gerald (the owner) came out to do exact measurements, sign a contract, and accept 10% down payment. The windows were installed 3 weeks later and went smoothly. The installer cleaned up, prefilled out the warranty, discussed window operation, and care instructions. All appointments were on time and Michael followed up a few days after install to ensure we were satisfied. One of our windows in a bedroom is west facing and gets lots of sun in the afternoon. The old window frame and glass would get extremely warm. The afternoon after it was replaced, you could barely feel any heat coming through.

We found them on Angie's list and were impressed by the reviews. We also called other company's from Angie's list for comparison. Coughlin was able to schedule an appointment before the competitors. Mike came to our home and measured all of the windows and talked to us about some of the options we would have and gave us an estimate on the job. Mike was so nice and didn't pressure us at all. We could tell that he was completely confident in the product. We were so impressed we decided to cancel with the other companies and go with Coughlin. When we confirmed our order the owner, Gerald Coughlin, came to our home and took the final measurements and set a date for installation. We very very impressed with all the people from Coughlin that we had contact with, they a great group of people. Nick and Greg were the installers that did the job. They did a wonderful job installing the windows. They were very professional and put them in carefully without damaging anything inside or out. They also cleaned up after themselves as they went along, which I really appreciated. They were polite and friendly, easy to have around for three days. They did a wonderful job and when they were finished Mike called to make sure we were happy with the windows, he also came by when they were going in to check on things. The windows are beautiful! We love the way they look and how nice they are to look through! Our old windows were foggy in the middle and tired. I would recommend Coughlin Windows and Doors to anyone and I would not hesitate to call them again.

This is the third time we have used Gerald Coughlin for windows. As with our other jobs they were competitive on price, professional in service and took care of our property during the installation. The house is a 2 bedroom single story 800 sqft built in 1951. It has plaster walls on the interior and stucco covered with aluminum siding on the exterior. The windows were perfectly integrated into the house. We fully intend to use this company for future window replacement and recommend them without reservation.

Wonderful work from start to finish. Pleasant and resourceful, we ended up with a much better 8 foot slider than we had originally.

They were wonderful, all of the meetings were very punctual and respectful. They came right away for an estimate, answered all of my questions. Our biggest concern was fitting in with my work schedule they were very accommodating. They came and installed everything a few weeks later. The installation crew was amazing they were a joy to have in my house. They put up with my documentation of everything, I took lots of pictures. They answered all my questions during the installation, as I like to know how things are done. We were remodeling the whole house and needed the trim for the sliding door to go in after the floors. They came back several weeks later to finish the trim. Again they were very accommodating and showed up right away. Months later we still love our new windows and they work just as smooth as the day they were installed.

This vendor did everything they said they would do. Courteous, informative, knowledgeable, efficient, clean, good pricing, on time, reliable and we really like the windows !! We would use Coughlin again and we would highly recommend this team of professionals. They have been in the business long enough to guide you in making a good decision.

Coughlin Windows knows how to do business. Whenever I called, I spoke to an actual person (Cindy) that was very polite. The owner and staff were professional, friendly and knowledgeable with a great product at a fair price. We had good communication throughout the process, which is a huge plus. We purchased four windows in hopes of reducing noise in the bedrooms from a nearby freeway. IT WORKED. The only problem is we find ourselves sleeping in much later than ever now that the bedroom is so quiet. :-) We are so happy with the results and will probably call Coughlin again to replace windows on the main floor. We live in a townhome, so we had to match other windows in the complex, and without any complication, they delivered. Great job, Coughlin! It was also nice that they didn't make us feel that our home wasn't a big enough job for them. We had another company stop by to give us an estimate, but they seemed uninterested in having the work, not nearly as knowledgeable, and never even got back to us with an estimate. Coughlin was appreciative from beginning to end and happy to be there to make us happy. They worked efficiently, finishing when they said, and didn't leave any mess at all. I HIGHLY recommend Coughlin Windows & Doors for any of your window needs, especially if you're trying to achieve noise reduction.

They are very professional. They had a good product line. They were very thorough. They worked with us on the price. It was a very good experience. They provide a good quality product. They gave us referrals and got glowing reports. They gave us what we wanted in a window. We had viewed eight different companies and we chose them. We are very glad that we did. The installation was beautiful. It was a challenging job. We had old, middle windows that would crank out. They had to remove all of them and sit in new windows with minimal disruption. It was beautiful.

Highly professional. The owner, Gerald, provided an estimate which was toward the high-end of estimated prices, but his overall service that includes future warranty service and labor in addition to his crew's professionalism and detail oriented installation made him the right choice. On agreed installation date and time, Steve called ahead, and he and Tim arrived promptly on schedule. They were both highly knowledgeable, careful and respectful in their work. They even went through the extra effort to put touch up paint on some areas around the window that had gotten foam sealant on them to ensure that the newly installed windows had a finished look that didn't detract from the original window box. Steve leads a great install, would definitely use again.

Michael explained our options and provided a detailed estimate. He walked us through every detail in the quote to ensure we had a thoroughfare understanding of the scope of work and specifications of materials. We couldn't have asked for a more professional experience.

He had vinyl and I needed aluminum because it is a mid-century modern home. He was professional! His estimate was very good, however he did not have the product I needed. Had he had the product, I would have hired him in a heartbeat. I talked to a couple of who used him, and they were so pleased with his work. I was so impressed with him!

Perfect. Owner came to house on a Sunday to measure and discuss options. We shopped him hard only to prove he was the most honest and cost effective

I had three contractors provide estimates on the work I needed. Coughlin Windows had the lowest bid and I felt that they were the most professional from the outset. Gerald was very helpful and explained everything at our meeting. I gave him an initial deposit and we made an appointment for his workers to complete the install. On the day of the installation, they were on time and completed the work that day. My concern was how the retro-fit windows would look and if they would be bulky and ugly. I was wrong. My new windows look awesome. Overall, the work was completed efficiently and professionally. Randy and his assistant were knowledgeable and thorough during the installation. Coughlin Windows has my strongest possible recommendation in efficiency, workmanship, and quality.

Being a Real Estate broker agent I see and show hundreds of homes all over San Diego. Coughlin is the only Company I will use and recommend from now on. Glad I found them on Angies list I looked for new windows and sliders for my home. I interviewed many companies on the phone, Gerald the owner of Coughlin was the only one I invited to my house for a more in depth interview. Gerald exceeded without being pushy nor did I feel that he tried to over promise anything but offered great solid advice on what I should do and his pricing was spot on great. Coughlin offers Simonton windows and sliders. I had not heard of that Company but soon found out that they are high quality and offer the most glass DaylightMax (less casing) which is just what I wanted. Coughlin had the best pricing along with extremely knowledgeable customer service tech's like Steve who does a final measurement prior to me signing the paperwork. The 3 installers led by Nick did a 100% install. Everyone kept the installation area clean and did impress me with their professionalism. They were on time, friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to have in our home. We have 2 small children and they were very aware of when my daughter was sleeping (tried to keep the noise to a minimum). We were so impressed upon final walk through we had them measure to finish the rest of our home.

I have worked with hundreds of contractors in my professional life over the past 35 years and Gerald Coughlin and team have surpassed them all. I enjoyed working with the entire group and they made the entire experience enjoyable. I wish more contractors conducted business the way this group does. I called and made an appointment with the office for an estimate which was scheduled at the time of the call. Gerald Coughlin the owner arrived as scheduled on time equipped with his mobile office. When I say mobile office I mean he pulled out his computer printer and paper and provided an on the spot estimate that blew our socks off. The price for the 8 windows was so reasonable we asked him to look at the cost of adding a patio door where one of the windows currently was installed. The price of the door was so reasonable we decided to move forward with it too. The windows and door was something my wife and I have been talking about for years but it was cost prohibitive. We feel so very fortunate to have found Coughlin Windows which allowed us to complete a project that we thought would never happen. Once we signed the contract the door and windows were ordered and the installation was scheduled. About two days after Gerald did the rough measurements Steve arrived to do the final measurements. We discussed maximizing the ventilation by selecting which way the window should open and he gave us an overview of how the installation would go. With final measurements completed, windows and doors ordered and schedule set, we were anxious to get it done. The day of the installation the door was to go in first but the manufacture wasn't finished with construction so instead the windows were installed. All 7 windows were installed and completed the first day. Day two the door was ready and the cut down started. With the threat of rain the installers completed the cut down and installation. The only thing left to do was the inside trim which was completed on the third day. The entire process was a joy. Thank you Gerald Coughlin, Randy, Steve and the entire team for a job well done.
