Description of Work: I contacted Coughlin Windows after reading great reviews on Angie's List and I couldn't be more pleased. Gerald Coughlin came out to measure and gave me a competitive quote to install 7 Simonton retro-fit windows to be installed in 4 bedrooms plus one bath. He was very patient in explaining benefits of single hung vs. casement and even gave me suggestions about some windows in my 2 story living room. Job was done professionally with minimal disruption; workers cleaned up after install so it looked as though no one had been there with the exception of the great new windows. When I can afford it, I will gladly have Coughlin Windows back out to replace the rest of the windows in my house. I highly recommend Gerald, his crew and Simonton windows.

Description of Work: This family owned and run company, was THE BEST CHOICE --- I am VERY, VERY HAPPY with their responsiveness, knowledge, windows, thoroughness and price. These are good windows, dual pane, Argon gas in center, and more glass than Newman windows.. Gerald and his wife Cindy are an amazing team, their customer service is the BEST, and Gerald had actual window samples with him.....whata concept. Just so you know, I had 5 (YES -5) different window companies come to my home and give me a bid. Coughlin in Escondido beat the lowest price by $500 - were the most organized, honest, with the BEST windows - and no hard-sell or sales pressure. Just a low price for a good window. The service and installation went very well, the installers were fun and professional, they installed 4 windows and a sliding glass door in less than a day. In addition, Steve a (wonderful perfectionist) did the final inspection and then returned over a month later to install a curtain rod over my sliding glass door........this is so above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Steve!!! Oh, and their window guarantee is lifetime and IS TRANSFERABLE to a new owner (this is the only company doing this that I found.) I made the RIGHT CHOICE and highly recommend you check them out for yourselves.

Description of Work: Gerald came to my home to provide an estimate for installing new vinyl framed windows. He is very pleasant and punctual. He gave me an estimate for all of the windows in my home. Because of my budget, he allowed to replace a large window in my front room and plan a strategy over the next year to replace the other windows (estimate was good for 1 year). I was grateful. On installation, 2 gentlemen came over right on time and performed the install. The new window looks great and works great. The area was perfectly cleaned after the job was done. Bottom line: quality service, quality product, quality work. I highly recommend to all who want great windows.

Description of Work: Large double pane window had been vandalized and broken. Received estimates to repair and Coughlin was highly rated on Angies list so also received an estimate from them. Owner (Gerald) came out and analyzed the window and gave me a quote for a low 'E' window with double lifetime warranty on material and labor. Cost was more, at least to me, very reasonable. Repair person came out, took about 1 1/2 hours and was very professional and cleaned up nicely. Would highly recommend this company. They only do windows so the title of windows and doors is somewhat of a misnomer. After the 1st replacement window was installed, the window the again broken the next day. We call Gerald and he immediately, after being surprised, said no problem and he would order a replacement from the manufacturer. The order came in on the 14th of March and the lead installer came out on the 15th of March 2012 and replaced the window again. This company stands behind their products and their installation and I highly recommend them.
