Antac Pest Control

I have been using them for the past 6 years, think they provide very good services and are local/family owned. Their $69 yearly rate includes spraying every other month.

Worker arrived on time and performed termite remediation at two locations in our newly purchased home that were noted in our home inspection.

They did a good job and they were quick.

The good: estimator showed up at appointed time, was very professional in his inspection. Termite fumigators were also very timely.Improvements needed in service delivery:1) single most important prep occupants need to accomplish before fumigation commences is double-bagging all food in special bags designed for protecting food in the presence of the fumigation gas. Antac provided me with 5 pairs of bag, which was so marginal that there were some items I had to put in my car. Although they told me they would be happy to drop off more bags if I needed them, in the end this offer was meaningless. It should be obvious that most people would not start bagging until the night before the fumigation date (because the contents of the bags are then inaccessible), and by the time I realized that I needed at least one more bag pair, it was too late. In fact, I called and left a message that I needed at least one more bag pair, but the crew did not get the message. It is difficult for a customer to estimate how many bags are needed - either the Antac estimator should do a rough estimate, and leave a few extras, or Antac should leave way more than enough. After all, how much do these bags cost in proportion to the cost of the fumigation? 2) I had one house plant which was too heavy for me to move outside, but Antac took care of it. However, when the house was reopened, they did not place the plant back inside. If moving house plants is an optional service with an additional charge, at least they should so inform the owner in the estimate.3) Antac had estimated that the house could be re-entered by 4 PM. However, when I returned home at 3:30 I discovered I could have re-entered at 11:40 AM. I have no issue with giving the latest time in their advance estimate but why couldn't they call and notify the occupant of the exact time the house could be re-entered once they know that time (on the day of re-opening)? I would use Antac again, but only with the assumption that they would provide more than an adequate number of bags, and that on the day of completion they would notify me when I could re-enter.

They did all that was promised and did it professionally.

We were impressed by the presentation and professionalism of Jake, the company spokesman who came to inspect our property and give the estimate. We decided on a date, and the men arrived early that morning. They were respectful of the surrounding plants and shrubs ( we had followed Jake's recommendation to pull trellises and vines away from the house perimeter.) Our house has a deck, and the garage has an attached open roof and patio and these were covered carefully. They taped and clipped the tarps carefully over an attached fence which could not be removed. All in all, they did a great job. Tarps were removed early on the finish date, and air blown through the house sufficiently that we could inhabit later that day.

We have a year long contract with them. They do the job and do it right. They come and go unnoticed because they have to spray on a semi regular basis so they never have to come inside. I will use them again in the future.

Our inspector was prompt and thorough. He took time to explain all our options and the entire process. The team in the office was helpful and provided us with good reference material so we could ensure we were well-prepared. The technicians were polite and efficient. I couldn't believe how quickly the tent covered our house!

The job was very efficiently done. Repairs of the woodwork took about 6 full days; the tenting and fumigation, beginning to end, took about three days. Antac carried out the contract exactly as agreed. use.

They are extremely friendly, courteous and prompt. They cleaned the house and removed all the mice and rats, before we came. They were extremely thorough and if the problem persists, they’ll come back and keep treating, until the problem goes for no charge. I will use them in future.

WOW. I thought I'd live with ants for the rest of my life. Made a phone call, Sabrina (office person) described in detail their services. Very nice, very professional, answered all my questions, suggested options, described pricing plans, explained what would occur next, when and with who. Brady came out promptly at the scheduled date and time. Also very nice, personable, very professional. Again I went through my litany of questions and concerns. Very calm, answered all my questions. He explained about the ants, lives, reasons they do what they do (besides just to exist to annoy me), and what would happen after he sprayed. He sprayed the entire area around the house, foundation, and many plant infestations. He stayed away from my food garden area without me asking. He put special killer bait in key places inside the house. We immediately signed up for a year, every other month, program. My neighbors pay a little less for a different company, but we were just so pleased with the service and quality of work, we didn't care. Best of all?? TOTAL ANNIHILATION OF ANTS IN THE HOUSE!!

Our experience with Antac was excellent. When the technician came to the door we discussed the problem then I showed him through the house, indicating where black widows were found, and took him outside, also showing him where we had found spiders. He was polite and answered all of my questions. He started outside and sprayed around the perimeter of the house then the walled fence and the eaves. Then proceeded to the garage. I was impressed with the kindness and politeness of the worker and the care; he put on special shoe covers when he entered the house and proceeded to spray the whole interior of the house including all closets and under furniture.

I spent about $1200 for their services. They were flexible.

They seemed to be prompt. They came out when I called; they showed up and did the job. They charged $69 for each treatment. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

They were very professional. I haven’t used them yet. They drew a careful and accurate graph of all the places where there was termite damage. Then they gave me an estimate. The estimate was high because it included something else. The company that I am with now said that I didn’t need one. What I have learnt is that there is a game. If they do see the termites, then it would mean sending their men out for free and they are trying to cut back on labor. However, if you are selling termite insurance, then suddenly your place is riddled with termites. So, that’s the game and I am looking for a third opinion. My overall experience with Antac was high because I haven’t proved them wrong. I may have termites. I called them back and I told them that I called the state board because I had a different opinion from another company. The state board wanted both of these men to come to the house at the same time and come to an agreement, but the guy from Antac said that he wouldn’t do that because he stood by his word. He said that the state board should have someone come out. So far, Antac has been excellent because there has been nothing to the contrary, but I haven’t used them for the actual work. Their professionalism was perfect too.

Contacted ANTAC for an ant problem. They were able to get us scheduled very promptly and the exterminator was very punctual. Did a quick job but a good one and we have unlimited free service calls for a year for the price option we chose. Very satisfied.

The representative showed up right on schedule and discussed with us what kinds of problems we were having. I told him it was mainly ants but I mentioned snails too so he not only sprayed for the ants but put out bait for the snails. Even though we were mainly concerned with the ants, the spray he used is effective for numerous other insects and pests. He was very careful not to spray near my vegetable garden or fruit trees.We are happy with the services and haven't seen an ant, inside our outside, since.

Overall, I was pleased with my experience with Antac. All the individuals that I dealt with (inspector/work estimator, office personnel, insulation installers, etc) were very professional and polite. Everyone arrived at the scheduled times and days. I felt the price was reasonable for the services performed.

Punctual, well-equipped. Disappointed that they did not find how they got into the house, nor would they give a guarantee for the rats not coming back.

Josh thoroughly inspected the house inside and out. He recommended that the house be tented. The work was scheduled several weeks in advance. Antac subs the tenting to San Diego Fume Works, as do several other pest control companies. Josh found several items that I had not thought to remove from the house. There was time to do that. The tent was put on, and that night a huge Santa Ana hit, and the tenting came loose during the night. We contacted Antac, someone from Fume Works came out, and the tent was removed. Fume Works returned a day later to retent, and we were back in the house in two and a half days. I don't fault Fume Works or Antac for the Santa Ana!! I do think, however, that both companies check the weather when fulfilling a tenting contract and either postpone the tenting when huge winds are forecast or put extra care into the tenting.

We have an area with termite feces and kick out holes, so we know they're in the window sill. We can't afford and don't want a major tenting because of our dogs and plants. All we wanted is a small treatment. I would have gone with this company because their phone people are so nice (Isabelle) and they were very quick to find a time slot for initial inspection...however, their minimum charge is $450. That's way above what I consider reasonable based on past experience in another home and for what the scope of the work is. It would be helpful if Angie's list posted minimum costs for these kinds of services so we list users would know before we called a highly-rated provider. If A.L. can't or won't list minimums, then it would be extremely helpful if the business made that information available up front.

This is a property that we used to live in and now rent out. We want it to be in good condition. I was out at the property and noticed some gopher mounds. We had an animal control company that we used regularly, but he threw his back out and have not been able to help (and unfortunately could not refer anyone). I called Antac and since we had a regular service, they were able to offer a $35 monthly service and treat the area that had activity. They will walk the property every month to ensure no other gopher activity. They will also call the tenant a day ahead as a reminder.

The scheduler worked hard to find a service tech that could come out that morning. She was able to have the tech out within the hour! He arrived on time, was infomrative, professional got right to work. When talking to the scheduler she told me about their service plan options. i typically shy away from these plans, but this company was so helpful and professional that I decided to go ahead an sign up for a bi-monthly service plan. I have other family with service plans and after sharing our experiences I was even happier with my choice. These guys are awesome!

Called the company, receptionist was friendly and able to work with our schedule for the initial visit. First time out to our home they treated the inside as well as the outisde. Now they come once every other month and leave an invoice on the door if we are not home. I can call the business an pay over the phone following the treatment. Very happy with the service.
