Description of Work: I had SOD builders come out twice to bid a large construction project at my house. After having several contractors give me varying degrees of what "needed to be done" I decided to hire an architect and engineer to be my agents so to speak. Once having approved plans I called SOD back to give me an estimate off of my approved plans. Liran showed up on time both times. He was courteous and respectful. It was clear he had the proper background to understand what was needed in the project and to recommend ideas that I had not thought of. He told me things he would not do if it was his house and things he would. In the end I decided to hire a company that I had worked with in the past. If I had not had the prior work relationship I would have hired SOD. I am sure they would have done wonderful job.

Description of Work: Complete bathroom remodel $12000 in parts and $18000 in labor. Nice people poor work. I had to redo or correct quite a bit. I will not use them again.

Description of Work: Sod Builder inc were very responsive to our needs to have someone come out and give us an estimate on short notice (Two days). Turned out we needed estimate sooner (same day)than the week turn around that they had suggested. Were very friendly when we had to cancel appointment.

Description of Work: They were very prompt getting back to me. I called asking about some pricing and quotes on some work on the outside of our house. I was thinking of getting some paneling put on the house. When they arrived they talked about the pros and cons as well as gave us some very reasonable other options. I appreciated the time they put in as well as giving me some cheaper options,. In the end we didn't have the money we wanted to spend on it, so we will be doing some work down the road.

Description of Work: Poured a cement slab. I didn't like that the price seemed to change from what was advertised (wasn't crazy), I would use them again though.

Description of Work: Fred from SOD Builders was very helpful and professional as well as Lesme (?)in the office. I did not end up using them but I would definitely consider them in the future.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal from this company back in 2012 for: $199 for a Painter for a Day! I called them 2 times, I left messages and they never came out. They did call me back once, but they never contacted me back and the communication stopped. They never followed up and I found another painter to do the job.

Description of Work: I had several cracks in my text coat and places where it had just come off. They came on time and repaired all cracks or patches, did an excellent job.

Description of Work: I had used the company before and was pleased. This deal wasn't what I needed for my home. I felt pressured to make a decision.

Description of Work: In the end not very well. The price total was high for of our house of 1780 sq. feet. The house is 2 story but not a square box like the measurements that were used to calculate the painting area. here are the measurements. 43 x 23 = 989 35 x 23 = 803 44 x 23 = 1012 34 x 23 = 782 total sq.= 3588 Is the house 44 or 43 and 35 or 34 across by depth again the house is not a square box and the measurements seem to be not accurate .I would like angieslist to please refund my credit card. We expected an additional charge to paint our home but it is outrageous that the contractor gave us an estimate 4x the original estimate. Feel like this coupon was just a bait and switch by the company who offered the coupon.

Description of Work: The representative from SOD Builders was a polite person. My house is very modest in size (1,080 square feet). So when the SOD representative told me that it would cost me $10,000 for the stucco job--I protested. The rep revised his estimate down to approximately $5,800--which was still nearly twice the original Big Deal cost of $2,999. He stated that my house was bigger than I thought--but my real estate agent (who was present) and I thought that this latter statement was "malarkey." I simply don't want to deal with this company and I would like Angie's List to, please, refund my money. I have hired several companies from Angie's List during the past three to four years--and they have all been excellent. This company did not meet my standards.

Description of Work: I bought an Angies List Big Deal for $2999 which was supposed to pay to stucco 1200 square feet which according to the coupon would accommodate a house 2500 square feet in size. My house is 1425 square feet. Oren arrived promptly on Sunday, then walked around the house taking measurements. Within a very short time he e-mailed me the estimate. The estimate stated $1500 for sand blasting, $2999 (coupon) for the first 1200 square feet, $3333 for the next 1,130 square feet. I just couldn't see any savings using the coupon.

Description of Work: Contacted SOD Builders after purchasing the coupon for the roof and found that they could not make an appointment for quotation until nearly thirty days later. Liran Cohen quoted the roof on April 30th, however following up with questions in email and phone calls have still not been responded to. My impression is that the company does not have the resources needed to cover their current work load.

Description of Work: Very satisfied with Company (Oren) re meeting for proposal. Price for proposed work seemed very fair. Medical situation in family prevents us from moving forward with this project.
