I have an AMAZING bathroom thanks to SOD, Oren, the owner is a sweetheart, his guys were great especially Joe and his beautiful blue eyes! Joe helped put it all together, kept everyone in check. The Tile guy Jaime is an artist and matched every seam, framed the shower shampoo boxes as if they were a picture. The Plumber William was excellent. Oren delivered everything he promised. I highly recommend Oren and SOD Builders, I will be using them again when I renovate my other two bathrooms and kitchen which I hope will be soon.

Carlos came to my home at 8:30 AM. He check the areas that I needed repaired and looked at the materials I had. Most of the damage was at the bottom of the walls and the retraining wall around my house. Luckily, I had some of the original color coat stucco left over after the original stucco job was done. Carlos said that I needed to have four rolls of masking paper and tape, so I went to Home Depot for supplies. While I was gone, Carlos prepared the areas and dug out around the house exposing the lower part of the stucco. Then Carlos mixed the stucco and repaired two sides of the house and one side of the garage. After lunch, Carlos masked the retaining wall top and bottom and did a color coat to restore the original finish that had been stained by weather. Carlos worked steadily and did more work that I expected for the time I paid for. He cleaned up all areas and covered the extra stucco before he left. He did a great job and is a credit to SOD Builders. Daisy, the office person was very professional and checked back with me to make sure that I was satisfied with their work. I would recommend SOD Builders and will call them if I need any work in the future.

The painters showed up on time, took direction as to what had to be painted and what did not need it, and did a great job. They worked hard for the 8 hrs and did not stop. They were not sloppy with the painting, and cleaned up after the job was done. I needed to add another day and they were able to accomodate me and sent the same painters the next day. Everything went smoothly and I would hire SOD painters again.

Carlos arrived on time at 8 AM. He started work immediately. He completed the job on time. The work was up to expectations.

The work is satisfactory. The painting of the bathroom is not as good as the previous painter I had in to paint. Currently the paint near the shower is beginning to peel and will need to be fixed.

Well the contractor came out on my promional value coupon that I purchased for $199.00's. This eprson looked at the painting job that I was requesting. He said it would require two people and could not get it done on the required time. Now that part was fine and understandable...but when he said it would need all of the paint to come off and this is a old house...which to me is very rude and he was peeling off the paint as we were speaking. That was not right..he did not ask if he could... It was like he was snubbing at not being a newer home and and just did not want to do the job... He could have tried to say..we could do the front portion for you and leave it at that but "NO" he just left and left a bad taste in my mouth that I would not want to use these people ever again.

Not great. My wife purchased the deal for painting. The deal was basically for 40 person hours - 2 people for 2 days, 10 hrs. per day. When the owner of the company came out to review the work we wanted done, we were told we had to supply drop cloths and painter tape. They just send a couple guys out for two days to paint. While i kind of get our paying for paint, though at that price it seemed high to me, having to supply the other stuff bugged me, but we purchased the deal so let's go forward. The company owner did give us his business information so we could get a discount on the paint, but i think we could have gotten that in any case. The two guys who came to paint were nice enough, but clearly not professional painters. Just a couple guys who paint. We had to ask for certain detail to be done, basically masking areas to get a straight line against door jambs, etc. On the first day, they were about to leave after 8 hrs. When we said no, we were told 10 hrs. of work, they knew nothing. We called the office and left messages and they called the owner who told them they needed to stay the 10 hrs. The owner never called us back, just told the lead guy they had to stay the 10 hrs. The guys stayed, and again, they were nice enough and did what they could. They came back the next day and finished the second room, and did a better job on that room. I think they knew our standards and were more careful. In the end, the paint job is ok. I wouldn't try to fix the few issues we have. Also, we never really got the full 10 hrs. per day per man. However, the experience leaves me feeling a bit taken. It is just not the way i am used to doing business. When i have had painters in the past, materials were included unless i wanted a higher end paint such as Benjamin Moore, and if a crew was sent, they were briefed on the job. These guys came knowing nothing, just show up and paint. Also, i would have expected the owner to call and ask how things went. While his office person called and left messages for us to fill out an evaluation form, the owner never called us back after our leaving messages the first day. All of this leaves the impression that business was slow and the contractor put what looked like a "deal" out there, and just went for it in order to keep people busy. I am fine with keeping people working, a good thing, and apparently they got a ton of business from this. I hope others had a better experience. Lesson learned.

Carlos and his assistors did a great job arriving on time and cleaning up thoroughly. The preporation was very well excecuted and the painting fantastic.

I bought a coupon for 8 hours of labor only stucco work for $299. It had a value of $600. I had submitted photos of the areas that I wanted stucco work to be done. Daisy the customer rep forwarded them to the project manager. I was informed that the amount of work would entail more than 8 hours because I wanted to have stucco put on the chimney. She told me I could have an estimate done for the whole project. I met with the estimator but decided that I couldn't afford to have the chimney done. So I just went with the repairs. Carlos came the to do the work. He was professional and was careful about masking off the areas that needed protection from stucco. He was able to match the existing texture and he asked me about the color before proceeding. I had given the project manager the color code that our contractor left with us when he did the stucco 20 years ago. Fortunately, they still make that same color. Carlos did a great job of patching and he sprayed stucco over the whole wall area so that the color would be even. After he finished, he cleaned up and took all the trash with him. I was very satisfied with this work.

We were very pleased from the first interview to the ending of our Kitchen remodeling project. All expected costs were given to us up front with no additions unless we requested a change. Oren and his crew were very attentive in ensuring all the work was done to our satisfaction. We especially like the communication setup of an online "basecamp" for the project that kept us up to date on the timeline and any changes that needed to occur and avoided verbal agreements. We liked them so well, that we are looking forward to Phase II of our home remodeling in the new year! .

It went okay but I think he took a long time to complete the tasks. Subsequently, I found a cheaper, faster handyman that I will use for future work.

The painters did a great job, I just wish we were given much more direction in the initial consult. The gentlemen that came out for the consult seemed rushed (he brought his toddler with him), and uninterested in providing direction. He grossly underestimated his painters efficiency, and we could have gotten much more done if he provided the guidance we expected. We also were fortunate to get guidance from the experts at Dunn Edwards (What finish to use in what rooms), etc... All in all, we were very happy with the outcome, just wish they took a little more time in the pre-consult, as we expected guidance and expertise from a professional.

We met with Oren on a Sunday. He was really helpful not only in describing in detail the work they would perform but also giving us invaluable suggestions as to design and material. He provided us with a reasonable bid the same day and started work the following week. They were able to work on all three bathrooms at once. We were impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of his team. They were careful in their work and took good care of the house. Oren met with us on subsequent weekends to help us select tile and vanities and hardware. He was always easily reachable for questions or concerns - I don't think there was a single time we had to wait for a response. He repeatedly stressed to us that he wanted us to be completely satisfied with every detail and whenever anything came up he took care of it immediately. In addition to the originally contracted work, Oren voluntarily helped us with several small items around the house. We were completely happy with the result and now have three beautiful bathrooms. We will be calling Oren again for future work.

I always had heard horror stories about re-modeling, and we were new at this. But we read about the experience of others on Angie's List, and after inviting four different contractors out to our house, we chose Oren and his company, SOD. I am very glad that we chose him. He is a very trustworthy individual, and so set my mind at ease right away. His price was very reasonable (we bought the vanity, floor tile and light fixture ourselves, but they installed them), his workers did a high quality job, and he was very prompt at finishing the work. There were a couple times when because he was busy, I had to remind him about some small things, but he always responded to me very quickly. He always made sure I was satisfied with the work. How often do you run into someone who is both trustworthy and who is competent? Not too often, but that is Oren and his company. The bathroom looks great. And I plan to use him again, when the time comes that we need other work done. I strongly recommend him to Angie's List users.

We were very pleased by the fine service we received from start to finish. The workmen arrived promptly, were diligent and professional, and cleaned up thoroughly. Carlos, the head painter, was especially helpful, offering advice when asked based on his years of experience. He also was able to make a few observations as to items we might consider doing in the future to enhance the property, but as suggestions, never as a "hard sell", which would have been unwelcome. The work went very smoothly, and since I was working from the house, the men were careful not to be intrusive unless there was a particular question to deal with. We particularly appreciated the time and care the men took to prepare the surfaces properly. The house and a small retaining wall along the driveway was thoroughly prepared for painting by scraping any blistered or loose paint, and patching any cracks in the stucco. They even repaired or replaced some loose or missing caulking. The power washing provided a good, clean surface for the new paint to bond with the surface. The metal edging on the roof was brushed on by hand so as not to accidentally spray the roof. The painters were careful all along, and especially so when it came time to clean up. Our house was left looking pristine and we would not hesitate to use their services again or recommend them to others.

Gill showed up on time, he had his teams show up on the days identified and they started and finished the work according to the plan and schedule.

The job did not go well. The man came out and kept insisting that he had been there before, then I finally remembered that he had been here before and that he told me I would need to spend $10,000 to replace everything in my bathroom due to mold, and I end up just replacing some drywall after getting another opinion. I did buy another Deal later on so I am giving the company another chance, but if things don’t go well again I will be getting a refund.

Luis & Julio showed up on time and did a fantastic job! I hope to hire them again in the future. They even helped us move our furniture back in place!

Luxury service with fast turnaround time Everything went well from start to finish. Oren came with Michele the interior designer and they made it very easy to see the project from start to finish. Right from the start, I knew that this was a person (Juan) who had pride in his work, was motivated to doing a competent job, was professional, informative, had extensive knowledge, and answered all my questions. His objective was to do an outstanding job and he certainly did that. It was a team of two and his fellow worker was conscientious and also knew what he was doing and how to do it right. They worked very effectively as a team. They cleaned up thoroughly every day. You would barely know that they were here. They had to go onto the roof to get the trim up there and Juan identified five cracked and spaced tiles, complete with pictures that he had taken with his cell phone. This was valuable information which we will use in getting those repaired. It was another sign of his dedication in doing a job beyond what is needed to ?paint? the trim. My neighbor across the street asked me later who did the work. It stood out as an excellent job. The house looked new. Juan and his team member are painting the trim on my neighbor?s house as I write this. I have and will again recommend SOD Builders for exterior house painting. I was impressed with the communication with the ?person on the phone at SOD?, Daisy. She was very helpful and extremely pleasant and informative. I would give this contractor an A+ rating for the work performed. As a result of this experience, we will interview SOD for a room addition job in the near future.

The stucco covering on the retaining wall had deteriorated over the course of about 10 years. SOD's special offer of $299 for a full day of labor on stucco work provided the incentive to fix the wall. Scheduling and work setup negotiations were handled in a professional manner. The work itself went quite smoothly and came to a satisfactory conclusion. Quality of results: VERY good.
