This went very good. She had great suggestions, however I did not receive anything in writing.

It turned out fine. They did an excellent job.

All said and done they did a beautiful job. I felt mislead by you with your pricing and how much it covered. I have a very small house and I mean very small. You stated the sq. ft would cover a house of a certain amount of which my house isn't even close. The salesman almost doubled the Angie's price. So I am neither happy with you or with SOD

They have almost completed the job. They are punctual and professional. Their price is reasonable. They also show up on time. When there are changes, they are responsive. I assume they will be staying within the estimate that they gave us. I have not had any arguments with them. I am also assuming that they are going to honor the 5% discount showed in Angie's List. So far, they are doing so good. They should be done in a three weeks.

The guy came on time, he did his work and he cleaned up.

He came in and we showed him to the bathroom and explained exactly what we wanted. He took the measurements and wrote out step by step what he was going to do. Then he went back to the office. We did have what the price was going to be. We just did not have anything in writing. We called him and let him know and when he came back out he had the original estimate with him and he wrote out the contract right then.

If you are looking for an honest contractor who can make your most ambitious dreams come true, look no further than SOD Builders. I already had my own idea (I even had my own drawings) of how my new kitchen should look. I interviewed several highly rated contractors but I selected SOD for several reasons. I met with the Project Manager, the Head Carpenter and Oren Dragan, the owner, all of whom seemed completely confident that they could meet my every expectation. SOD did not give me the lowest bid I received, nor was it the highest but I was impressed by the fact that all of the major trades people were employed directly by Oren. That meant that they were hand selected by and responsible directly to him. It also meant that scheduling the various trades would be easier. It turned out that all of the tradesmen (Carpenters, Plumbers, Electricians, Cabinet Makers, Tile Installers, Painters, etc.) were highly skilled, professional and hard working individuals who worked together like a well-honed team. While the basic plan was mine, the end result was more than I could have imagined due to the experienced and creative input of Oren's team. Joe, the Head Carpenter, came up with the idea of the tiered ceiling to beautifully unite the kitchen ceiling with the breakfast area ceiling which was vaulted. He even took the time to build a model of his idea out of a cardboard box to give us a visual of his concept. I could not ever improve on Golan's, the Cabinet Maker's designs for the cabinets. Every drawer and cabinet were perfectly placed and completely functional. All the drawer open to the full extent. All of the drawers and cabinet door have soft-close hinges. The corner cabinet has a lazy susan. There are slide-outs under the sinks and in the pantries. Best of all, all of the pots and pans fit in drawers. The large flat screen TV in the kitchen looks like it is part of the cabinetry. The quality of the wood and the workmanship could not have been better. The same quality and devotion to perfection was true of carpenters, plumbers, electricians, tile installers, painters and countertop fabricators. All of the workers arrived on time every day, worked hard all day long (no goofing off) and cleaned up the area every day before they left. This project passed all inspections with flying colors. Oren Dragan made sure that every detail was completed to perfection. I definitely would use SOD Builders again and I will highly recommend the Company to my friends and neighbors. It was a no-hassle pleasure to work with Oren and his team.

I purchased a shower renovation package off of Angie's list. I set up an initial consultation with the contractor, On the morning that the contractor was supposed to initially meet with me at my house the office called and asked to reschedule the appointment. I was not exactly happy about this short notice, but having a background in construction I do understand that construction jobs are very unpredictable and can be last minute emergent in the best of scenarios. The provider "S.O.D. Construction" showed up to our second arranged meeting promptly the contractor was professional as we got right to my expectations of the job. We set up the start date and on that morning the guy "Francisco" showed up early and patiently waited in front of the house. I had him come in and after a short discussion and a few questions he went right to work. Now, at this point I should explain that I had already gutted/prepared the shower area so he could start in immediately on the shower installation. I had already picked out the tile the grout and installed a new cast iron bathtub. Francisco went to work immediately and did a very thorough job. He prepared his work area by first laying down drop cloths on the floor from the back door all the way to the bathroom. He then taped off and covered all areas including the counter the mirrors and any other fixtures in the bathroom, so they would not get dirty from the dust or anything he was preparing to do. He taped off and covered the new bathtub as well. He then framed in two shelves that I wanted installed on the wall and began his installation by installing two layers of felt then chicken wire, mortar, scratch coat. Prior to installing the tile and grout, He laid out several patterns for me to look at and consider prior to the installation. I chose one of the patterns that he had laid out and he went to work immediately installing the tiles. The total job was about four days and during the entire time Francisco worked quickly, efficiently and professionally. In my experience in construction I have seen people that do not know what they're doing, that sort of know what they're doing and that definitely do know what they're doing. Francisco definitely does know what he's doing when doing these installations. The tile work was beautiful and the construction was solid. I'm completely happy with all aspects of the job professionalism, promptness, efficiency and quality!!! I will be calling this company in the future. I give Angie's list an A+ on their research of providers they allow on their site.

We first heard of SOD through Angie's List. They had the highest review rate and highest score. So, we gave them a call. My wife and I had a very good idea of what we wanted and how much we were willing to spend. I had originally built this bathroom (and addition) so I had a base knowledge in construction. When SOD arrived they were very professional and respectful and came with a slew of referrals. They listened to our ideas and then offered modifications to enhance our vision. We were very happy with all their changes to our initial design and even more delighted in that most of these opinions actually lowered our costs. Their offer was many thousands below the nearest competitor and their ideas were superior to any views we had previously heard. Their time frame was 3 weeks from start of demo to final inspection. It was several weeks before they began but once they started, they moved quickly and efficiently. They took great care to cover and isolate the house from their work area. Demo occurred with the workers transiting the house in a plastic "tunnel" so as not to scatter dust and debris. All materials were quickly hauled off site. Each phase progressed similarly with the workers taking great care of the non-involved portion of the house before they began work on the bathroom. I must give credit to Hector (the foreman) for providing a seamless transition from one phase to the next and being on site to take care of each question or request we had. He was very quick to rectify or resolve any "problem" we had. Another kudo needs to go to SOD's tile man. His work is superb. When my wife was unable to visualize the new ceramic floor, he painstakingly arranged the floor in each of 3 patterns so she could choose which one best fit her initial vision. Once decided, he applied the tiles (floor, shower walls and shower floors) to perfection. The SOD plumber did a very good job of removing an existing water heater (left in place during the demo) and installing the new tankless one without leaving us hot waterless for more than an hour. A very good feat! SOD would have finished under 3 weeks but we opted to use a granite provider from whom we were able to procure a pice of fusion granite. That change forced SOD to hold off on 4 days of work but they neither complained or asked for a change order. I am able to give SOD Builders the highest rating due to their work ethics, abilities and final product. I have all ready referred them to 2 of my friends who are having work done to their homes. You wont go wrong using this company.

Excellent painter and did a good job

They are not the cheapest, but fair, and I still like them that I'm going with it. I like their professionalism and good attitude. The gentleman was concerned, he knew his business, and he was on time.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. Juan worked on May 8, 9 and 10. The stuff is supposed to last until I die. It is supposed to last 20-30 years. I spend an additional $1,800 over the price of the Big Deal. It looks really good and I've been getting so many compliments on it. Two days they came at 8:30 and left at 2 because they had to fight the traffic because it took 3 hours to get back to their place. The last day they stayed late. They cleaned up so I didn't even know they were here. I had a lot of problems in the beginning because of what the first salesman said. I didn't like that but they did a good job. They charged for every square foot. They charged for the garage door because they had to cover it and all my windows. It was $275 a square foot and that's what brought up the additional to $1,800. They count everything even if they don't spray or paint it. They did a good job. Juan was the main guy and Pablo was his assistant. Adi was the lady in the office and she was very nice. They do building construction and I would use them again.

We were thinking of walling in a room to make it a bedroom so we could sell our place for more money. We discussed a number of options with Guy. He could picture it in his mind and he gave us his honest opinion, that it would make the adjacent room very dark if we walled in the opening and it would not add much value for that reason. We really appreciated his honesty and will use him when we get our new house. He can see the finished project and talked to us enough to come to the correct conclusion instead of rushing in. We were very happy to have met him.

It was a pleasure working with SOD Builders from start to finish! Oren and Michelle came to our house and the end result is way beyond our expectations, WE LOVE OUR NEW HOME! Oren & Michelle, were the third estimate that we received, they were not the lowest bid but they were very competitive they offered a new design and layout that no other company had thought of, I guess that?s a big difference when you have an in house designer (and no it does not effect on pricing, we had other companies that came and gave higher bid with no designer included). The new layout is great they were able to open up the space in our living room to the kitchen, my house looks like a picture in a fancy magazine, and it is very efficient when it comes to the use of the space. The kitchen is just stunning and I?m so happy I can show off when I have friends over. When we bought the house the space was divided and it had a feeling of old and small and not so friendly. The working process was very easy, I was always informed; the crew was always friendly and professional. When question and issues arise Oren and Michelle were available through there system very promptly, and I always had the feeling that there will be no compromising on the quality of work nor my satisfaction. At the end, we are very happy with SOD builders, now I?m trying to convince my wife on remodeling our master bathroom; it has to match my new modern living space J will keep you posted. This was a small project to replace the cracked concrete approach to our garages. After purchasing the Angie's list "Big Deal" coupon for Concrete Patio, Walkways, Driveways, including demolition, it took me several months to actually call the company. Upon contacting them to get an estimate, an appointment was set up right away and the meeting with the manager was very professional and informative. As expected, the square footage of our job was larger than the square footage of the Angie's List coupon but I believe we received a very competitive price. The company has excellent communication and follow through with the customer. Telephone calls and emails followed. We finally decided to have the job done almost a year after purchasing the coupon and the company was willing to accommodate us and honor the original estimate. The day of the job, the workman showed up on time to start the demolition and the manager arrived shortly thereafter to offer the choices for the concrete stamping and color. The one suggestion I would make to the company is to provide some type of brochure beforehand to the customer which includes designs and color choice prior to the day of the job. The demolition and preparation for the pour was completed the first day and the pour was scheduled for two days later. Once again, the workman showed up in a timely manner the morning of the pour and completed the job that same day. The approach came out beautifully and complements the design of the house and existing pavers. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the company, staff and workers and would highly recommend S.O.D. Builders for your project.

Oren and Jaime were excellent throughout. Oren responded to the bid request within 1 day, visited the site and provided a verbal quote on the spot for a full bathroom tile and concrete waterproofing job. The previous contractor had delayed completion and was stalling out with expensive bids and a bunch of BS. SOD provided the lowest bid and started work the next day. Jaime - the tile installer was diligent and skilled. He worked 10+ hour days for 4 days straight including weekends to get the job done right away and correctly the first time. He even helped repair a small single tile in another bathroom at no extra charge. I would hire SOD again and would definitely recommend them to others.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I liked them. The guy was really nice and he did a really good job. He cleaned up after himself really well. He was punctual. I had a conversation with him and he was very detailed and overall he did a very good job. I would definitely use them again.

Liran showed up 20 min. late to bid the job. He had no business card despite saying he had been working with SOD for months, is not a licensed contractor and simply provided his first name and the office no. I found his attitude off-putting at best. He quickly measured for roof and stucco, said I would get a bid sent to me by the office and they could start in 3-4 weeks. His visit was in mid-April. As 2 . . .3 and more weeks went by with no bid, I e-mailed and called Jessica, who I learned later quit, and Yessie, to get any word on progress. Both said Oren would get back to me... return my call.... was working on the bids ... etc. I finally quit wasting my time and instead thought I would advise others to steer clear of SOD Builders, as they clearly have no ability to manage their workload or respond in a timely way with customers. Who would want this firm doing critical construction work on your home when they can't even return a bid after 6 weeks?

They painted a master bedroom for us and everything turned out wonderful. The painter was a very hard worker and did a great job.

They missed the appointment and went to the business address. They called 15 minutes after and said they didn't have enough time anymore to do the appointment. They didn't schedule enough time obviously.

The remodel started out a little rough with a foreman who was new to the company. We spoke up and pointed out the issues, then Oren (owner) and Guy (project manager) stepped in and took care of it, removing him from the project. They got right back to work making sure we were happy with every step of the way. The overall project went pretty well from there. We really appreciated Oren's personal attention to any of our concerns, especially on all the small finishing touches. We worked with William & Esbin to do the new plumbing and to fix the leak, Efrain for general construction and electrical, Francisco for the tile, Carlos for finishing and painting. All of these guys... wonderful to work with! Each of them an artist in their trade. They all arrived on time with a smile, ready to get the job done right. We hit a few bumps along the way, as is typical with construction. You simply never know what you will find when you open up a wall in a 50 year old home. Well... we found mold on the backside of the exterior stucco wall. So we had to pause our construction for testing. It turned out not to be dangerous, but we wanted to be sure it was completely gone. SOD removed the exterior stucco and set to work repairing it. Juan our stucco guy did a fabulous job matching the texture and the color of the Tex-cote. You can't even tell that half of the wall was ripped open. We hit another bump when we had a sprinkler line burst in the front yard while SOD was still working on the bathroom. Luckily they brought their plumbers, William & Esbin, out to take care of it right away. William is fantastic, we love him. He got right to it and discovered the old galvanized pipes which were probably original to the home. We checked the main line while we were at it. So project number 3, replace the front and rear sprinkler lines and the main line with copper. William installed all new valves and two new shut off valves for the sprinkler lines. We are good to go for another 50 years now. The bathroom turned out great and we love it. When we have guests, they will be treated well by our beautiful new bathroom.

Tile/stone gut Jamie was great but didnt have any idea on how I preferred it. Lack of communication with Liran (project manager). I pretty much had to get days off and "babysit" them to make sure it was the style I wanted. Everyone was timely though. Project manager never showed up after he said he would when he was giving me a quote. Also promised things verbally although when written in contract, it was totaly different then what he said. This company takes cash or check only. No credit cards which is a bummer. Said he would make it like new and finish it but still needed to paint the drywall. They said "it wasnt in the contract." They dont take shoes off when coming to the house so you must tell them! Work was great but no communications between employees. Not cheap but decent job!

I purchased a "Big Deal" for up to 1600 sq ft. of exterior house painting for $1299. After contacting SOD, project manager Liran arrived at the scheduled time to write an estimate for the job. Liran understood that I was on a budget and worked with me to ensure the price stayed affordable. He did all of the calculations right there and from his measurements, wrote me an estimate of $1510. This was $211 over the Big Deal price I'd payed but because of additional square footage the price was fair. The office scheduled the work for a couple of weeks later. A few weeks later, a work crew of two arrived. Juan and his assistant were always on time, polite and professional, and worked hard the entire time. The job took three days total. On day 1, they pressure washed the entire exterior, masked windows, scraped peeling paint from the gutters and eaves, primed necessary areas, and removed stucco to begin patching areas the areas that needed it. On day two, they patched and re-stuccoed, painted the eaves, and started the trim. On the last day, they completed the trimwork and the rest of the painting. The house was finished in high quality Behr premium paint with three colors. I was impressed by the amount of work that they did -- they did a ton of patching and re-stuccoing, and exposed and fixed a lot of cracks and issues that I didn't even know were there. My house, a 1940 Southern California Bungalow, looks better than it has in years, and probably decades. It's been totally transformed. I was impressed by how much work a crew of two could do in only three days. If you need your house painted and another SOD Big Deal comes around, I'd highly recommend that you consider them.

I had back porch steps made of wood that were an eye sore but were also shifting and crumbling. I purchased a coupon from Angies list for concrete pouring with SOD builders. They worked a deal which used my coupon and gave an overall price that I believed was fair. The workmen were prompt, professional and checked with me several times during the work to make sure they were meeting my expectation. I am very happy with the result and would highly recommend this company.is in

They crew itself worked very hard, they were very good. The crew, the gentleman that I dealt with and probably the contractor didn't really cared for his style. They did great work but I just didn't cared for his style.
