The service was not great. The stucco on my house looks like it has grains of sand. The guy who did the repairs made the stucco look all smooth so it no longer matches. I showed him an area where my stucco had bubbled out from my sprinkler system, he only fixed part of it. After he left I realized he didn't finish the stucco I asked him to do. When I told him he didn't get the right stucco he kind of shrugged me off and said it was still wet. I wasn’t all that thrilled with the work. He also didn’t come with any tools so he had to run to Home Depot to get supplies. He then billed me for the supplies and materials.

House sold before it was necessary to do the work.

The experience was fine. They painted some trimming things that I needed done, and they were good. They came, did their stuff, and they were clean. They did good work.

They remodeled my main bathroom. They were simply fantastic. The tile work, the long hours they put in were amazing. There office assistant keep in informed every step of the way. I highly recommend them. They were wonderful. Thank you SOD Builders for a job well done.

We got SOD through angie's list. We interviewed a number of contractors and ended up going with them because we liked Liran, our designer, and his understanding but no nonsense approach. their price wasnt the best but was competitive and it allowed us to work with one company instead of many sub-contractors The good... - they take care of everything from the design, engineer, every craftsman and every permit - office staff and communication, they got back to us quickly and professionally about every question we had - the craftsmen, everyone from the electrician, painters, framer, floor and tile guy to the cabinets was top quality and professional - few overruns, every project has its suprises but they were very fair about cost increases and in the end most of the added costs were because we wanted something more, not because of unexpected charges The bad - communication, though they were very responsive some times it felt like one hand wasnt talking to the other and that lead to some mistakes that needed to be fixed. to their credit they did fix all of them and the final product was spot on, it just took a little bit of wrangling to make it work. The great - the final product is beautiful in look and quality and in the end that is what it is all about

Went great. they were on time, thoughtful, asked questions, offered a good plan and have been good about following up.

They gave us beautiful design for a new dream kitchen. Very professional. The cost to have the work done seemed over priced.

We are very happy with the work done by Oren, Michel, and the rest of the team. Oren has his own group of workers that he employs so he does not just hire a series of subcontractors (like some of the other contractors we met). Oren was straightforward and honest in all of his dealings. We never felt that he was trying to take advantage of us or get away with doing substandard work. When discussing options for various aspects of the renovation, Oren would not hesitate to recommend a course of action that he thought would work best even if was more costly for him. Whenever we identified a problem with the work being performed, he would address it immediately and correct any error - typically at his own expense. Given the extent of our renovation and the quality of the work performed, we feel the cost was very reasonable. We would not hesitate to recommend SOD to our friends and colleagues.

While they gave me some ideas, not very helpful in narrowing down design ideas based on my budget.

This review is long overdue. Our house has been under construction/renovations for over 5 years. We've had several contractors, rather than retaining one, due to unsatisfactory work/performance. We researched, interviewed, and checked references of the contractors we hired, which were highly recommended and/or were given high ratings. Unfortunately, despite this, the contractors performed poorly, and certainly DID NOT live up to their reputation/rating. Lesson learned. We heard about Angie?s List, and realized this was a better method of finding reliable, honest contractors. HELLO, SOD! In early fall 2013, we initially hired SOD to stucco our entire house. We asked for smooth stucco and were advised the issues that will crop up with this type of stucco. I understood and decided to follow through and live with it. Few weeks later, it was done, on time on budget. The stucco job looks fantastic and I now have a brand new house. Because we was happy and satisfied with the project, we decided to let them fix all the other crap work that was done by my previous contractors. It?s now January 2014 and they have methodically and continuously been doing work on our house. We have them scheduled to renovate our eye-sore of a backyard. We FINALLY retained 1 contractor! It?s the first time in 5 years, a contractor has exceeded our expectations. What started off as 1 job has evolved into several small construction/renovation projects. Liran, our project manager, has been/is amazing. He?s very knowledgeable, very attentive to detail, and is incredibly responsive. More importantly, he?s patient and listens; making sure to explain and provide options/suggestions, and any limitations to our wishes/needs. He?s also efficient and respectable. Everyone we've interacted with from SOD, are professional, hard working , trustworthy, and courteous. They do what they can to make our home renovations run smoothly. They always clean up after themselves after a days work. SOD has been, and continues to be a dependable, excellent company that strives to be fair and does exceptional work. While they are not the cheapest bid, the cost is worth it. We WILL continue hiring them for additional projects in the near future. We highly recommend SOD for your construction/renovation project! After purchasing the Angies List Deal, I contacted vendor who replied that the earliest they could come look at the job would be 30 days into the future. Design and renderings were very undetailed and inadequate for me to make any design decisions. Proposal to do the work was much more expensive than expected. I had the work done by another contractor. It seemed clear that the builder had run too many promotions at one time and was unable to satisfy all the work at that time.

Pros: Overall, good, and we're happy with the results. The crew foreman asked questions throughout the job to make sure our preferences were being met. Cons:The work crew damaged some PVC sprinkler pipes while preparing the ground. If it weren't for us paying attention, they were going to pour right over it. Another problem is that they didn't clean up all the debris from the job, and we had to call them back to finish cleaning up. When they did clean up, they put some of the refuse (dried concrete blobs, gravel) into our green waste trash bins that we had to remove ourselves. The crew also left behind a few disposable water bottles/drink cups behind in the surrounding bushes.

SOD did a great job on my project. They re-stuccoed around every window and door and the entire south facing wall, which was approximately 25 long and 25 feet high. They were able to satisfactorily match the texture and finish of the new stucco to the original existing stucco. They were very professional and communicated very well. They were cost effective and I will use them on future projects whenever I can.

Michal and Oren originally came out to meet with me within a week of me calling for an appointment. I was very impressed with their ideas and professionalism. Received a quote within a week and was happy with thoroughness and timeline for completion. Michal (designer) spent a lot of time with me going over my ideas and pulling them together. I am very happy with our beautiful, new bathroom and converting our playroom into a bedroom!! Would highly recommend them to friends/family!!

The project began, of course, with them providing an estimate. They showed up on time, and answered all our questions. while their bid was a little higher than another, we decided to use SOD Builders, in part, because of the positive reviews on Angie's List. We were not disappointed. There was a short delay to avoid potential rain, but once they got underway, the work was performed and completely in a timely fashion. With painting, preparation is very important, and you really can't judge how well it will be done until it is, in fact, done. I was very pleased with the thoroughness of the prep work they performed. I believe it was far better than any other painter I have used in the past (We've been in this home for 35 years.) They used a sub-contractor to do repalce our old rain gutters, and they were equally prompt, professional and efficient. Also, SOD did a great job matching the paint to the color of the gutters; not an easy task when working in different materials (wood v metal). One more thing: They used an online service to complete the paperwork. The contract appeared to be one made available through a contractor's association, or something like that. It was very thorough, easy to understand, and very professional. It was a very easy and efficient way of getting the paperwork completed. Bottom line, we were entirely satisfied with SOD Builders. They will be the first call next time we need work done at our home.

It was okay. They were alright. I paid an additional amount for the service. They got most of my stuff. I thought they could do my shower better. They cut the tiles in my bath tub and I never heard anybody cutting tiles in a bath tub. It was a water cutter tile thing and left all types of stuff in my bath tub.

Since this was the first time I hired anyone to work at this level, many things were new to me. What I learned from many friend who have gone through remodels MANY times is: nothing goes perfectly 100%. There will always be surprises and frequently something will need to be redone. That being said, there were a few things that needed being re-addressed. What it eventually comes down to is how the company responds to issues and how the final product looks. The owner, Oren's motto seems to be "I want you to be happy ", which he said to me whenever we spoke. This was comforting. The final product makes me quite happy . On a side note, I live in a condo complex which makes the contractor's work exponentially difficult . There are rules for work hours and specific and limited ways to get in and out of my building, and we have seen OTHER companies' workers leave messes, damages. monopolize the elevator, block parking spaces etc. When SOD was here they listened to and followed the rules. Unsolicited , I received a thank you and compliments from the HOA management, saying how clean and respectful they were. :)

See previous box. Also, the painter who came the last day to finish up handed me a paper version of this review form and made me fill it out and give it to him before I left for work. I filled it out and taped it closed but that's not right.

It was okay. They came out and did their thing. I probably wouldn't do it again though. The design was fine. We decided to not go with it.

Very well - SOD are incredibly professional, dedicated and skilled. SOD worked with us to build the home we wanted - not the home they wanted us to have. We've never done a renovation before and were apprehensive, but now we have a beautiful, well design and well built home. Like most construction jobs, we did go over the expected delivery date but only by a week. They have some very skilled craftsmen on staff - the attention to detail is magnificent, and managed the project in a very comprehensive manner. We are very grateful to SOD for going above and beyond what we expected.

This deal was very attractive, initially, but once we tried to plan the work, the service provider was often non responsive. When a representative from SOD first came to the house, he had no samples of the company's work or tile to guide us in deciding how we wanted the shower to look. After asking for better assistance and some tile samples, the company fail to provide samples on 2 occasions and when tile samples were delivered, it was the wrong type of tile. Finally, the owner, Oren, got involved, but he went on vacation and failed to maintain communication with us to get the work started.

The estimator was very polite and I have no complaints about the company.

Oren was always personally available and took responsibility for each phase and aspect of construction. He does all of the work in house, with his own guys, so the increasing cost of subcontracting each aspect out does not become an issue. They are professional, do high quality work, and follow through on their promises. Also, we pre-negotiated a price for the whole project, so there was no concern with hourly wages/ the speed at which folks were working (though never an issue, always efficient, just nice to not have to worry about the "well it took longer than expected, so you owe us an additional".... possibility) Also, when there were some minor issues that had to be redone or done a bit differently, Oren took full responsibility at no extra cost, and made sure the corrections were done quickly and correctly. The only thing I would have asked to be a bit different if we had to do it all again would have been to assign a project manager to our specific project. There were so many different aspects going on with the project, and different groups of people coming on different days to implement the various specifics, that sometimes my wife and I had to be the ones looking out for the cohesion between the components of the plan, which led to some of the minor issues I mentioned above. But Oren was very much on top of any corrections necessary, and the final product was a huge success. Overall, we are very happy with our new utopia (and the cost of it!!) and can't thank Oren and the gang enough for their hard work and dedication.

SOD Builders helped us fix the painting issues (fix edges, sand baseboards, windows, touch up walls that needed additional paint) that the previous painter we had hired created. They helped us get the job done and into our new home. They worked quickly and efficiently. I would definitely contact them again in the future.
