Avi and Finesse ended up being a great choice for me to go with. I had 2 other estimates but went with Avi as his proposal had the most detail in it, so I knew exactly what work would be done and knew what would and would not be included in the estimate. There was a payment plan where once we hit certain milestones I knew when I needed to make my next payment which was great. In the end, nothing arose where I needed to spend more money on something that wasn't already covered in the estimate. All work was done to my liking and I am very happy with the finished product. Avi was easy to talk to and his crew did a great job. I was always able to get a hold of Joyce in the office if I had any questions or concern. Someone always picked up the phone or got back to me immediately. There were some hiccups along the way but there are always hiccups and it wasn't anything serious. Avi was always willing to work with me and hear my concerns about certain items. There was a bit of a delay with when the project was completed but that was because a countertop was not measured correctly. We figured out the mistake and he took full responsibility for it and replaced it without any extra cost to me. Overall, I am very happy with the finished product.

Avi is very helpful in the design and selection process: tile, cabinets, etc. In the end we got exactly what we wanted, a beautiful new bathroom, on budget. I would recommend Avi to friends and family.

Finesse Remodeling!!! What can I say that I haven’t already said in my prior reviews??? I hired Finesse Remodeling with Avishay Ben Dov’s expert input, advice and ideas, along with his remarkable team of design experts, sub contractors, vendors, et al, in July of 2016 and…no surprises….it all went off like clockwork! I hired Avi and Finesse once again for the 4th time now in the past few years, to do a complete kitchen and utility room renovaton which involved gutting the entire area, removing a wall, etc. Beyond that, I wanted the remainder of the house (sans the master suite and ensuite which he did a couple years), to be totally reworked – all wallpaper removed, walls resurfaced, new electrical installed where needed, popcorn ceilings removed, all new paint, new flooring, baseboards, etc. Bottom line? It went off without a hitch……his workers ALWAYS showed up on time, were communicative, put out dropclothes, paper runners, etc., to catch and control any mess – they cleaned up after themselves each and every day………it was the best of all worlds. The planning was top-notch – one trade would finish up, the next was lined up and ready to begin the next day – if there was an inspection, it was also planned in advance not to lose any work days or time down with any of the trades. I must note on this review that one thing that stood out that really has nothing to do with the quality of the work itself, was that one of the painters had a radio, and he’d play the music softly enough, but the beauty of it was as he painted, he was singing….and I found such joy that a worker, doing what I would consider a very demanding, not–very-rewarding job in the triple digit heat, was SINGING ……. I had a certain appreciation for my contractor whose workers would sing……..first time I’d ever encountered that! Overall, everything was done in a timely manner. I was never surprised if something didn’t happen as promised by a certain date – things change, materials don’t show up, etc., – I was always given a heads-up by Avi or Joyce, his very-able, informed, assistant – between the two of them, I was never left wondering what to expect. They were always available, 24/7, and always made a point to touch base with me throughout the process daily. Any text messages, emails or phone calls by me were always answered promptly. I would not hesitate to refer Finesse Remodeling to anyone for any type of work!! I have reached the position with this company that I no longer feel the need to solicit other bids, talk to other contractors – I have complete faith that I will be given a fair and reasonable bid, without any hassles of comparing what I might get elsewhere – I know what results I will get in advance. All the subcontractors that I have met and dealt with through Finesse have been top-notch, and subscribe to the same business ideals as Finesse. It goes without saying, that I am their biggest supporter and fan. I feel as though I have moved into a brand new home – everything is perfect, and all I need to do now is decorate and add the fun and colorful touches that make it my new home!

We highly recommend Avi Ben Dov and Finesse Remodeling. We found Avi to be organized & organizing, honest, patient, practical and completely reliable. He was very responsive to any concerns/questions. His problem-solving ideas were always grounded in sound reasoning, experience & knowledge. He was open to incorporating new or different approaches. This was a huge project for us. We were picky about details & sometimes slow in our decision-making. There were numerous opportunities for it to have been hellish, but it wasn’t. Though it presented plenty of challenging times, it was made livable by Avi’s patience, reliability & trustworthiness & general ease as a working partner. He did an excellent job of minimizing the impact of the construction mess on our household. His work crews were on-time, non-intrusive, hard-working, accommodating to our needs, pleasant, helpful, neat and highly skilled. The time lines and payment schedules for each work phase occurred just as outlined in the contract. Finesse wasn’t the least expensive company we interviewed; However, they were VERY COST-EFFECTIVE in the long run. We love our new living space, which is both practical & beautiful. We will be using Finesse Remodeling when we work on the outside of the house in 2017.

I recommend using Finesse Remodeling for your home renovations. Avi is a great guy, very personable, and he really knows his craft. This was our first big project, and Avi gave us lots of good suggestions and insight. More importantly, he met his proposed budget while always being honest about what things cost, and what problems might arise. Most importantly, we love our new kitchen, it's beautiful. The minor annoyances along the way I think likely would've been the same with any contractor, and probably worse. We're very happy with our choice and the results, and we would use Finesse again.

Where do I start.....My experience with this team was nothing but professional. They had good advice and provided me excellent solutions, which I really appreciated. The team was punctual and they didn't mind my daily visits for the length of the project which took only about 6 months. I had so many questions and they helped me understand the process every step of the way. I've heard a lot of horror stories from other friends about contractors they have hired so I was cautious when looking for mine. I was so lucky to have found Finesse Remodeling as they made the whole process that much easier. It was my first full home remodel and I would definitely hire them again.

Finesse was great. Under the general direction of Avi Ben Dov, the jobs were completed on time and within budget. It was an outstanding job in all facets of the project from the original consultation through to the final inspections. We couldn’t be happier with the work that they did. Each of the crews was highly efficient, punctual, very friendly, and excellent in the execution of their respective tasks. They kept the inconvenience to a minimum and cleaned up after finishing each day. Avi was invaluable from the initial consultation and thru the completion of the project. He offered us smart alternatives to our ideas, he was very easy to communicate with, and excellent articulating the plans and the scheduling. He was terrific to work with.

As usual with Finesse Remodeling, everything went well and the job was finished on time,and the paint job was very good... Avi the owner is always precise and very easy to work with and I would definitely recommend him

Again, Finesse Remodeling did an incredible job! I wanted to update my bathroom and put in a new window. They worked with me to create a bathroom beyond my expectations! They were easy to work with and Avi, the owner, did a great job of following up every step of the way. I would highly recommend Finesse!

Sam, the project manager, arrived on time and was a down to earth no exaggeration guy. I gave him a budget and he crunched rough numbers immediately. His attention to details like what part my budget is for labor vice material gave me confidence that this man will keep me at my budget or go below. I only worked with Sam up till acquiring a quote but definitely recommend Sam's expertise for your future home projects!

This is an update to a previous review I wrote on 2/19/14 - for some reason I can't seem to update that review directly. I just wanted relate our good experience with Finesse. Two and a half years after our original bathroom work by Finesse, there was some minor grout cracking in the bathroom floor. I called to ask Avi what we should do about it - within two days he had his guys out there to fix the tiles and regrout. I was really happy about such great follow through on their work - even two years after the fact!

Avi and his team were terrific. From the beginning, Avi sat down with us and gave a detailed explanation of the work, the costs and the timing of the renovation. Throughout the project, Finesse and their guys showed up on time, did great work and were clean. Not only that but they are by the book, meaning permits were pulled, inspectors brought in, etc. These guys also finished early- a week early! We couldn't be happier and would definitely use Finesse again.

I used Finesse last year for a complete bathroom remodel, and was very pleased with the work, so I didn't hesitate to have them work on my second bathroom. A smaller job this time around, but again, I was very happy with the work. Finesse will be my "go to" contractor for any future jobs I may have.

I ended up going with someone else, but for what it was, it went well.

I was remodeling a condo from a distance. He always kept me informed and He was someone I could trust. That was extremely important to me since I was not there to over see. Went to see after it was completed and it looked great!!! Would call him again if I'm in need. Nice guy. He made a couple of suggestions that I went against. In the end, realized he was right and we did it his way. Should have listened to the professional. If he reads this, he will think this is funny. I have a hard time admitting when I'm wrong. lol Thanks again Avi!!!!

We have a 1950's ranch/ cabin style home with a bathroom that was in desperate need of repair. In addition to mold and a warped floor the bathroom was terribly dated and unattractive. I mean it was really bad. We received estimates from a few contractors including Finesse. Immediately after our initial meeting, my husband and I felt that Avi and his team were the ones we wanted to work with. There was another company that we felt good about, but in the end we sensed Avi was really out to make his clients satisfied. (He was the one that met with us for the estimate, not a foreman, and his reviews were solid.) We set a date to begin after the holidays and they started on time with the demo. The work moved in an organized fashion, with workers here every day, on time. There was no waiting in between things or any wasted time. We really appreciated that. His subcontractors are all very nice and pay attention to details. They are easy to talk with and responsive and they kept things fairly tidy. Joyce in his office is very sweet and super helpful as well. I would say Avi's strongest trait is his willingness to talk about ideas and his responsiveness. I'm not sure I ever had to call him, (well, maybe once?) because he was constantly calling us and emailing, and stopping by! Checking in, answering questions, telling me of the next day's activities... etc.... I was so surprised because many of my friends have complained that contractors often disappear once the project is underway.... In the end we have a gorgeous bathroom, and the work is superb. Was he the cheapest? No. (He also wasn't the most expensive, either.) We feel that we got top quality workmanship though, so the value is in the finished project. There IS one problem, now the rest of our house pales in comparison to this little bathroom!

It was fine. I wasn't very happy about the price, but they were neat and did the job.

At other times when I've had my house painted, I had to pick up the paint myself. The estimate I received from Avi incluced all the paint and repair work that was needed. This was a huge relief to me, especially because the results were so EXCELLENT and PROFESSIONAL. My apartment looks like a new place!

In our experience there is Quick, Cheap and Good, you can only pick two. If you want it quick and good, it won?t be cheap, likewise if you want it quick and cheap it won?t be good! With Finesse modeling we went with quick and good, and accepted it wouldn?t be cheap. While it wasn?t inexpensive we did get every penny we paid for, and to us that makes the most sense in the long run, as we didn?t have the luxury of time, who does when it is their house? I appreciate the planning and thoughtfulness Finesse Modeling put in before the work boots tromped through our house. Knowing exactly what you are doing and visualizing it via three d rendering really helped us decide what would look best and Finesse let us know what would also work best. The crew was clean, prompt and professional. The timing was almost perfect. We had a snafu with local building codes, so my only word of caution is, regardless of who you choose, double check with local city for the very latest codes. Apparently this stuff changes frequently and nobody seems to have a clear understanding (think tax codes!) of every new detail. But that seems to be pandemic across the industry. I would recommend Finesse Modeling if you want it done right and on time. In our limited experience, this team worked out as the best. us

I bought a beautiful condo in Brentwood with a really horrible, outdated, useless kitchen. It was so depressing, I didn't even want to put anything in the refrigerator. Since I was new to the area, I didn't really know how to go about finding a reliable contractor. I used Angie's List and read the review for Finesse Remodeling. There was a recent review that was very lengthy and rather outstanding. Avi came within a few days of my calling him and right away I felt at home with him. He listened to me very intently and I could tell we had a relationship of trust between us that built very quickly. Avi told me that the job would take about six weeks; he brought the cost within a few thousand dollars of what my budget was; he delivered within ten days of his projected finish date. That would have been enough, but there was more. Avi met me at Pacific Sales on a Saturday, and introduced me to "his" saleswoman there. Together, the three of us made choices on all the appliances, hardware, etc. I felt like I had my own personal shopper and guide! Avi then went with me to the tile store, where again, I had a personal shopper and guide. All my input was listened to and I was advised accordingly, which was extremely helpful given the massive number of choices one can make at a tile store. I will be honest; my apartment was really a mess aftet a while. But good progress was on-going and Avi kept his word on all accounts. Most days he called me, texted or wrote me an email to update me on the work that had been done thus far. After awhile, I started to feel that we were in the same family! He really showed care towards me and reassured me all along the way, as well as giving explanations for the various things that needed to be done. It is rare to give someone an "A" rating in every categfory. (I only gave a "B" for punctuality because of my own antsy-ness to get the job done and restore some normalcy to my home!). But Avi earned it. I am not saying this because I have to. I'm saying it because I know how important it was to me in trying to find a contractor, to be able to read reviews that were honest and informative so that I could choose with confidence.

We did not use this contractor

We have a nice ranch style house originally built in 1957. Since moving in roughly 10 years ago, we have remodeled our master bedroom, put in hardwood floors, new windows, BBQ island and painted inside and out. Every venture ran into difficulties, delays and tested our patience. Earlier this year, we decided it was time to do our kitchen. I am a chef at a large hotel and of course, my dream was to have a professional top notch chefs kitchen. With our past difficulties with remodeling projects, we really had no idea who to turn to. My wife decided to give Angie's list a try and this is where we found Finesse Remodeling and Consulting. We met with Avi from Finesse earlier this year one Saturday morning. We presented our vision to him. Avi was a very good listener which we liked. He also brought in his own suggestions based on his past experience. After a couple hours, Avi presented us with a complete cost of our intensive remodel. Even though he was not the least expensive for the job, we liked his vibe, his positive personality and signed our contract that morning. Over the next few weeks, we met with the Finesse Team of Cabinet Makers, Tile specialist, Electricians, Painters, etc. They showed up on time as scheduled and were all very we'll mannered. Their attention to detail, even when faced with some construction challenges, proved their professionalism. We also were very much impressed with their consideration for cleanliness, always cleaning up with a broom after a long day. Thank you Avi and Finesse Remodeling for a job well done! This the is the second time we have used Finesse Remodeling, the first time being earlier this year when our entire kitchen was replaced. Avi and his crew are our go-to guys! Wouldn't use anyone else. From the first discussion of the job, what we hoped to have done, Avi understood our desires and worked with us. The asbestos came to our attention when we wanted the electrical work done and we had the popcorn ceiling tested. Avi presented us with options of how to deal with the asbestos, and it was clear that we simply needed to just have it removed. As work was being done, Avi sometimes made suggestions as to how to improve the look of doorways or the molding. His advice was always spot on. Avi also worked with us on the flooring, helping us find an excellent price for the materials. Avi was here each day, following up on the progress of the work. The other person who was amazingly helpful as the project progressed was Joyce, Avi's assistant in the office. She kept us abreast of what time workers would show up, what the next phase of the project would be, etc. She is delightful to work with. Our neighbors also commented on the politeness of the workers and how they kept the area clean and free from stuff that would junk up the street. We will have additional projects in the future, including 2 bathroom remodeling jobs and more electrical work. There is no question that we will make the call to Avi and Finesse Remodeling. I have referred them to several of my friends and we have complete confidence in the quality, price and workmanship of Avi's crew.

Avi and his associates were very helpful. They helped me plan the design and placement of my new floors and vanities. They were helpful with the selection of my new fixtures and were always available to answer all my questions. They were on-time and careful in their work. I would recommend them highly because my new bathrooms are gorgeous!

After two years of searching for a contractor for my kitchen, bathroom and laundry room remodel, I feel so lucky to have found Finesse Remodeling. When I had my first meeting with Avi, I knew that he was the right person for the job and I was right. I had many questions and concerns and requested quite a few meetings before starting the remodel. There must have been five meetings lasting about an hour each, not to mention the phone calls. Avi was a gentleman throughout the whole process. He answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns with patience. Joyce helped with any concerns as well and helped with the schedules. Once the contract was signed, I could not believe how smoothly my remodel went. Everything flowed like a symphony. Things were done in order and on time. Avi?s team is remarkable. They are consummate professionals. They showed up on time every day, stayed late to finish the job (if necessary), the job site was left tidy and clean on a daily basis and last ,but not least, our kitchen was done in the timeline that Avi had given us. We did not run a day over! Avi would visit the job site almost daily. On days when Avi couldn?t make it, Sam would stop by and make sure that everything was running smoothly. Avi, even went beyond what was in our contract and helped with other necessary touch-ups without asking for reimbursement. I can honestly say that I did not have one complaint throughout the whole process. I have recommended Avi to my friends and family. Personally I would never work with anyone else. I am elated that I now have the kitchen of my dreams thanks to the amazing team at Finesse Remodeling. All that remains to be done now is a call to the location scouts on my list because I can say with confidence that this is a kitchen for the movies.
