My wife and I were very blessed to have Avi, Joyce and the whole Finesse TEAM by our side when we decided to remodel almost our entire house which included 2 bathrooms, kitchen, exterior stucco/woodwork renovation, painting, door installations, and touch-up work (very extensive work). From planning, execution, surprises/challenges, budget and timeline management; Avi and Joyce were very supportive and fair throughout the process and took the time to explain things and delivered quality work every step of the way. Scheduling was flexible, communication effective, and if there was a disconnect, Avi was there to make sure we were aligned so the project proceeded with minimal delays. We had two bathrooms desperately in need of rennovation, and met with several contractors. We have had several pieces of building work done on our property in the past and are generally wary of contractors. We immediately felt that Avi was someone we could work with. He was very thorough in both understanding our intentions, and laying out the order of events and schedule. Because these bathrooms were old construction (mid-80's or earlier) Avi strongly recommended lead abatement inspection - which actually found only a small amount of tile with lead in it, but was a worthwhile health and safety check. We had very clear ideas about the retro design of the bathrooms, which Avi expressed some doubts about at first. He quickly came to understand that we had a clear vision, and then got on board enthusiastically with what we wanted to do. He became an excellent partner in bringing the design look to fruition. Demolition was very swift, and Avi's guys did a good job of sealing off the worksite to minimize dust spreading to other parts of the house. We wanted to move a couple of toilets and remove an old tub to replace it with a low-threshhold shower, and all of the replumbing and rewiring moved ahead very smoothly. Finesse did a terrific job of arranging the inspections so that we weren't waiting for days between parts of the project proceeding. The really impressive part of the work was the tiling. Avi's gang, headed up by the incomparable Luis, did a stellar job with an enormous amount of subway tiling. This did end up being a cost overrun, but absolutely worth it. The care and precision of Luis and his team was breathtaking. The plumbing and shower glass were subcontractors that Avi co-ordinated with, and we had some problems with the level of finish that the plumbing team made when installing the faucets and showers - however as soon as we expressed our disappointnent, Avi was on top of it and making sure that all of our notes were attended to, and all the errors were corrected. The second team sent by the plumbers made an immaculate job of refinishing the installation, and the end result is wonderful. Throughout, Joyce in the Finesse office stayed on top of the schedule, and always texted us the upcoming events. It was always easy to get hold of Joyce and Avi - we never got that contractor run-around from them - and they were meticulously honest about itemizing overages and payments. We never experienced and 'nasty surprises' in billing, and Avi was at pains to prepare us for possible costs (for instance, the possibility that the lead tile removal might prove to be extensive.) Overall we cannot say enough good things about these guys. We always felt that our project was the most important thing to them, even though they had other jobs running at the same time. We never had communication problems, or difficulties in getting hold of Avi. If anything, he was attentive to a fault - calling up just to check that the shower installation was satisfactory immediately after the work was completed (it was perfect.) Finesse were not the cheapest company we got estimates from - but neither were they the most expensive. Inevitably, costs were higher than the original plan, but these were always as a result of our change orders. I would use Finesse again for any remodel work, and heartily recommend them to anyone and everyone. They were simply a joy to work with.

Avi and his team remodeled our first home with my wife and we were both very happy with the final results. We remodeled our kitchen, flooring, and powder room all within our budget thanks to Avi and his willingness to make a deal. I went through a lot of contractors and Avi stood out because not only was he very respectful, but was keen on details. He would share his honest opinion and suggest alternatives that were much better in quality and price. At the end of the day, he really wants the customer to feel good and confident in the project. Now there were some bumps in the road during the project, but that was because of a different company not living up to the quality of work that Avi's team does and there was a few delays on shipment which caused deadline to be extended, but we were informed along the way so there was no surprises. Overall, if you are looking to not go way over your small or medium budget and looking for professional work on remodeling your home I would recommend just calling Avi. His opinion and vision of your new project could save you a lot of money and save you on making bad decisions. If you don't pick him, that's fine, just chatting with him is highly valved and don't cost you a dime.

We were very happy with the work Finesse did remodeling our kitchen. From our first meeting, Avi was always professional and did a great job explaining how the project would unfold, even for areas where there were unknowns, like lead and asbestos abatement. His positive outlook made us confident the project would be successful, which in the midst of a pandemic with numerous supply chain issues was very reassuring. Both he and Joyce were always accessible and responsive and quick to resolve any concerns we had. And the work crews were great; we particularly appreciate the multi-talented Luis and all the quality work he did and that he supervised on the project. We would recommend Finesse without reservation.

Avi and his team were fabulous. At the beginning of the process, he was the only contractor that we had spoken to that even mentioned the abatement process and how it might affect us. He was personable and friendly and made sure our need to live in the house during renovation was addressed. He stopped by regularly and had chats with us making sure we were happy with the process. Avi made sure that we knew that something might not be the best idea but if we truly wanted it he would do it. We did the kitchen, the master bedroom, master bathroom, guest bathroom, all windows, all doors including the front and garage doors. It was a huge undertaking but what a transformation. We were first time home remodelers and they walked us through every aspect of the process. When the unexpected happened, they were up front and let us know. The construction team under Luis were fabulous. We would swear Luis was a magician, the kinds of things he could get done on the spot were amazing. Definitely a man of many skills. The crew were respectful and friendly. They made sure everything was clean and livable at the end of each day. Also Joyce, the office coordinator, was awesome and we had a text thread going with her and Avi the whole time. All the permits were obtained in the proper manner and everything was done according to safety regulations. We are thrilled with all of our new home and highly recommend Finesse Remodeling and Consulting for all your interior remodeling needs.

Avi and team fully remodeled our humble kitchen over the summer and we couldn't be happier with the result. He made everything easy and within our budget, from the consult to choosing the floor, tiles, backsplash, appliances, etc. and his advice was always spot on. He was able to leverage his relationships with stores and suppliers to streamline our shopping experience and get us the best prices and products. We had a few hiccups with the floor and inevitable delays due to covid and supply chain issues, but all of that was to be expected. The final result is the kitchen of our dreams. We contracted with Avi and Finesse Remodeling to remodel our kitchen and adjacent family room and bathroom and we are very pleased with the results. We put our contractor search into high gear in October 2020. We spoke with many contractors who all seemed really good but Avi was a touch above the rest. He not only had great ideas but was also very personable. We ideally wanted our new kitchen before Christmas but were concerned if it could get done in time and Avi said he could do it in 6 weeks, and he and his team completed the projects in in 6 weeks! Suffice it to say that as the homeowner I had to be fully engaged and do my part to make it happen so it was a great team effort. Not only did Avi and crew do great work, but Avi kept things moving really well and he worked tirelessly to ensure the different specialists did their work as scheduled. The specialists included plumbing and electrical rough work, drywall and painting, cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring, final plumbing and electrical and appliances installation. Avi’s attention to detail throughout the project was fantastic. When it came time to resolve punch list items, he got all the issues resolved that resulted from the work and that were in scope. In summary, I highly recommend Avi and Finesse Remodeling for your home remodel projects!

The remodel went very well and we are pleased with the results. Some delays were encountered due to changes in scope requested by us and one supplier being late with a cabinet. However, all of this was accommodated without difficulty. The quality of the work was excellent. Questions and concerns were addressed quickly and to our complete satisfaction.

The absolute best! This was our first remodel and after a few meetings with Avi we were so impressed we decided to hire Avi and Finesse to do a remodel of our entire house. The house was in years of neglect and disrepair. This was a HUGE project. Demo and remodel of kitchen, 2 bathrooms and master bedroom, new flooring, tiling, new electrical, HVAC, repair and replacement of windows, painting of entire interior, no inch of the house was untouched, we moved out for two months. Avi, Sam and Joyce were amazing, creative, and always on site or in communication daily. Everyone on Avi’s crew were masters of their craft, at times there were 8-10 workers in the house at the same time, almost all have worked with Avi and Sam for 10+ years. Three months later we have a beautiful home that is in pristine condition. This is totally due to Avi’s vision of what was possible, within budget and done on a very tight timeline. Throughout this process we felt that we were so fortunate to have Avi and his team turning an aging house into a beautiful home.

Avi and his team did an amazing job on our whole home renovation project - amidst COVID* no less! We worked with Avi on a project a number of years ago** and now that we'd moved and were in need of a whole house renovation, he was one of the first calls we made. He and his team completely transformed our home, turning a 1940s floorplan with a 1990s addition into a contemporary home that will serve us for years to come. From a walled-in kitchen, a guest bathroom where you had to shiimy in sideways to get through the door, and a master bath shower so small we called it Superman's phone booth. Now with the work complete, it's like an entirely new home - open-concept kitchen and living area, kitchen storage for days, a spacious and modern guest bath, and an en-suite I thought I'd only ever see in a magazine. Our home turned out even more gorgeous than I could have imagined! A word of caution - Avi is always on the move; he gets things settled and is eager to move quickly into execution. I'm someone who probably cares about understanding the details more than most, so sometimes I needed him to slow down and catch me up. He readily did so when I let him know I needed more information - outlining options, consequences, benefits and costs when needed. He, Joyce, Juan and the rest of the crew are an amazing team! (And Joyce is very skilled at interpreting & expanding on Avi's shorthand when needed (wink!). *After months of planning and permits we began our project the first week of March 2020... #Timing. Avi took great care to understand the ever-shifting guidelines, communicate changes to us, and tried to be mindful of taking care of his employees' safety while also their livelihoods. Of course our project took longer, but there's no way to have avoided that given the circumstances. *2012: Worked with Avi previously for a condo kitchen remodel. He and the team did an excellent job taking our galley kitchen down to the studs and recreating it to triple our counter space, expand our cabinet storage, maximize natural light without sacrificing functionality, and create a beautiful heart for our home.

Avi and his team at Finesse completed 3 distinct projects over this summer. It all started with a serious plumbing leak in a bathroom necessitating a partial remodel of that bathroom and the adjoining bedroom. Work was completed timely and in a very Workman like manner. We went to Avi since he had previously remodeled two other bathrooms for us. We then moved on to a full garage remodel which came out beautifully. Finally we did a partial remodel of our kitchen, replacing tile countertops, appliances s and a good cover. Avi made some wonderful suggestions that we' be really appreciated. He suggested a Bristol new sink which we love and did a great job to retrofit new appliances into our existing custom cabinetry. I couldn't have asked for a better result. Everything was completed timely and we couldn't be more pleased.

He told me his crew would be there on a certain day/time, his crew would be there. Whenever I called Avi (on his personal cell phone), he took my call. When I called this office, Joyce was there to answer my call. The crew Avi has put together for home renovations is top-notch. Demo. Floors. Kitchen remodel. Bathroom remodel. Custom cabinets. Shower doors. Electricians. Paint. All of these gentleman were on-time, polite, gracious and very easy to work with. He did the remodel of my neighbor down the hall. Impressed, I took his card, and 5 years later, I called and began my remodel. It was seamless. Really. The outcome is more than I could imagine. This was the second phase of my home remodeling completed in June, 2019. The first phase, remodeling of the guest bath, was completed in December 2018. This time, again, Avi's teams did an excellent job. In particular, his talented crew members Luis and Sammy delivered everything in good quality, from plumbing to floor and shower tiles, dry wall, and painting. Avi is a reasonable man to work with, and he listens to what I need. He also stands behind the work his teams perform. He provided plumbing services free of charge several months after completion of the project, even the problems turned out to have come mostly from the materials I purchased. I was overall happy with the end results.

After doing a trial with Finesse we decided to hire them to finish our whole house: guest bath, interior paint, master bath, closets, kitchen, exterior paint, etc. We're finally done and we couldn't be happier. What impresses me most is their professionalism. Avi and Joyce always answer the phone no matter what (or call back in a timely manner) and keep clean records. Avi really cares that the job is quality and that every detail upon finishing is to my liking. His workers are incredibly respectful and didn't hesitate to make small adjustments to accommodate my perfectionism. I definitely recommend Avi and his team and will consider using them again in the future.

We were graciously guided through our first ever remodel (kitchen) in our townhome in Marina del Rey by Avi. He's got a great sense of design and gave us all the information we needed to be able to choose new cabinets, countertops, and tile that look modern and clean. His teams were respectful of our property when they completed their work. In the end, the kitchen is a dream. We can't wait to work with Avi on future remodels.

I found Finesse Remodeling & Consulting through on line reviews. I needed a kitchen repair and remodel following a flood that caused extensive water damage. On the night I first met Avi Ben Dov, I knew we would be working together. His enthusiasm and knowledge made me feel at ease and he walked me through what would happen in my kitchen on that very first night. On the spot he came up with a design that would ultimately be what we ended up going with for my dream kitchen. When it came time to picking out materials, he accompanied me to vendors and offered his opinion and advice. As the work started, I was very pleased with the craftsmanship of his team, especially Luis and Sam. What they did with the tile on the floors and backsplash is pure art! The great thing about Finesse is any time I wanted to contact Avi or Joyce the office manager, my phone calls, emails, and texts were answered right away. There was never a time I had to wait for an answer to my question. As a side note, Joyce is also a wonderful asset and was patient, kind, and professional whenever I called her with a question. I would absolutely hire Finesse again for any project for my home in the future.

Avi and the team at Finesse remodeled both our master bath and our guest bath, along with the laundry room and hallway. Great job again, as we used them before for a complete kitchen remodel. Avi and his team of professionals at Finesse Remodeling did a wonderful job on our Kitchen remodel. He and Joyce at the front desk were always available by phone to answer any and all questions we had. His team was courteous and professional. After interviewing a few contractors and reviewing the glowing reviews from other satisfied customers, we chose Avi and Finesse to do the work. We had purchased a home and needed a full kitchen remodel. We also added some additional electrical work in the living room and entryway as well as continuing the floor tile work from the kitchen through to the service porch and 2nd bathroom. We also tiled the backsplash in the entire kitchen. (Avi's tile guy is amazing by the way.) We were on a tight timeline as we needed to move out of our apartment within a given time frame. Avi was very honest with us about his doubts about being able to complete the task before we were completely moved in but was willing to give it a try. A few small issues came up during the remodel that forced us to make some small changes to what we had planned. These are the kinds of things that one expects when remodeling an old house and finding those inevitable surprises in the original construction. Avi was very fair with the changes to the costs of the contract. One of the main things was the need to replace the main electrical panel to the house. To add the new power to the kitchen and new lighting, we were going to need to bring our panel up to code. We crossed our fingers that the original panel would be able to do the job, but alas we had to replace it. So between the installation and waiting for permits, that killed our timeline. Avi's team worked very hard to get everything completed in the house that would allow us to move in on-time and his team was able to complete the last of the work quickly and efficiently while we were in the house. Avi and team are great and we would use them again in the future.

Let me just say that Avi and his crew blew us away with their skill and professionalism. My husband and I had never remodeled anything and had no idea what we were getting into when we decided to redo our master bathroom. Avi helped us along the entire way. He and Joyce at the front desk were always available by phone to answer any and all questions we had (of which we had many), we stuck pretty close to the original timeline that was given, and last but not least, our new master bathroom is GORGEOUS! It is difficult to earn my trust when it comes to home remodeling and repair and I must say Avi and his team have definitely earned it. We hired Finesse to remodel our child/guest bathroom and also to update two bedrooms. Their attention to detail is uncanny. The tile work is amazing. I've received many compliments and anyone who's remodeled and used tile, they know how hard this is to achieve. They went above and beyond to make sure our home was safe and dust free in certain areas while my baby and I stayed home during the remodel. His workers were very respectful and always happy - that says A LOT. Avi always answers the call and Joyce is patient and very helpful. We were so impressed, we plan on hiring Finesse to remodel the kitchen, master bath and living areas this summer.
