Avi was professional and great to work with from the very beginning when he came to our house and submitted the bid to the final day of of the project. He is responsive, knowledgeable, patient, skilled and everything else one would want/need for a contractor. He gave us helpful suggestions and his workers were punctual and qualified (extra shout out to his tile guy whose work is incredible - we used several different types/patterns of tile and the layout was perfect). We will absolutely work with Avi again (hoping to do a garage conversion next year). Very highly recommended!

I made many changes along the way which extended the completion, but to which they easily adapted. I lived in the house the entire time, but I don't recommend that for so large a job. Remodeled a large kitchen, master & guest bathrooms, partially upgraded the laundry room, the fireplace and changed all the floors.

 + 11 moreShortly after we purchased our home we set out to find a contractor who could achieve our vision, of a complete kitchen overhaul which included removing an entire wall,(to create an open living space) closing another wall & opening a door way plus renovate our laundry room. And new wood floors through out the whole1st floor of our 2 story home. So no small task… We interviewed 2 contractors (both referrals).. the price ranges & level of professionalism were just not where we needed to be. Our third phone call was to Finesse remodeling, a complete cold call, i read theyre very positive reviews over the past few years & just gave them a shot. When i called Joyce the office manager (awesome gal BTW!)answered &immediately took my info for a estimate request. Avi, the owner met us at our property a couple of days later, he hit where we wanted to be both in budget & timing. (it was early june, we needed competition by end of july) not to mention a total down to earth awesome person whom we loved from the get go! Avi had a complete contract detailing every single piece of work to be done, where every dollar was allocated & the calendar timing. It was our first time doing this type of project & spending this much on it , total uncharted territory for us & stressful. Avi took us every step of the way along with his associates ensuring that we would reach the other side of this unscathed. Since we were to live in the house during the process (challenging with 2 young children) the finesse teams really took extra care in being considerate,responsible, timely & TRUSTWORTHY. I must say Avis’ teams from demolition, to plumbing, electrical, cabinetry,electrical,painters & flooring were amazing people. They ALL took pride in their work- from their high standards in workmanship, finishing & cleanliness. All top notch. And just as important from Avi & Joyce- the communication, response time & sense of urgency was always there. A great experience, for us, money well spent.  + 6 moreEver since our kitchen remodel, my wife and I fight to see who gets to clean up after cooking-that is how much we love our new kitchen. The extent of our remodel included the kitchen, the adjoining family room and the guest half bathroom. Avi's bid was pretty much in the middle of the road for the bids for the remodel; however, we took an instant liking to Avi, his relaxed demeanor, his assessment and recommendations and his earnest desire to earn our business. I am pleased to say we were very pleased with our decision and would highly recommend Avi to others. He came up with a beautiful design and effortlessly incorporated our modifications. His sub-contractors provided quality work and the vendors used for the materials (quartz, stone backsplashes, etc.) offered a wide selection of materials. Most importantly, Avi was ALWAYS available, reliable and was frequently on site. Communication with Avi was never a problem and we felt he was always extremely professional. We experienced a couple of unanticipated events (the building inspector's requirement to change out the original ventilator hood ducting for a much larger diameter) and Avi handled the situations calmly and seamlessly. The final cost for the entire work was within 10% of budget (mostly due to the ducting issue and some material upgrades we selected) and done about two weeks beyond the originally estimated time frame. I feel that these are to be expected, were quite minimal, and the end result speaks for itself. We have a kitchen which is beautiful and much more functional than before, truly our dream kitchen.

A remodel was a big deal for us, it involved a lot of money and inconvenience as our bedroom and bathroom would be inaccessible but they made it so much easier and convenient than we thought it would be. They answered all our questions and gave importance to all our needs and accommodated us in every way! The work was completed a week before projected with is another GREAT point. Thank you to Avi, Joyce, Luis and the whole team. We have already forwarded your information to a few friends and neighbors who are interested in some remodeling and we will definitely be back when we are ready to upgrade our kitchen!

 + -1 moreFinesse Remodeling completed a Master Bath remodel for my husband and I over the holidays. They completely redid it, which included moving plumping and an exterior window. After meeting with Avi, we decided to go with his company after getting bids with several people. The decision was made based on his fair price (not the least amount but not the most) his amazing reviews online and his genuine interest in our project/business. He was kind, respectful, knowledgable and easy to talk to. This proved to be true throughout the whole 6 weeks of working together. He came in on time and on budget...did I mention this was over Christmas and New Years? I was impressed he stayed on time. Him and Joyce (in the office) communicated well with both of us. His workers were all very nice and professional. During our 6 weeks, only minor things came up along the way that Avi handled well by communicating with us and taking care of the problem. Our bathroom came out beautiful! It matched our inspiration photos and our vision perfectly. Finesse Remodeling was able to meet our expectations! I would be happy to refer Avi, Joyce and their team.

While not a big dollar project (bathroom remodel) it was big to us, and I appreciate that they treated it with the same level of attention as the first project we had done couple years back. I highly recommend. They are not the cheapest, but they keep to their word and do a precise and efficient job, and in the end that is worth every penny!

Description of Work: We just completed a complete remodel of one of our bathrooms as well as some other work with Finesse Remodeling. Everything came out beautifully. Over the years we have remodeled other bathrooms, added a large addition and done other remodels. Our experience with Finesse was by far the best. Avi, the owner, is 100 percent hands on. He listens and pays attention to details. He wants to deliver an excellent result and does everything to insure that. He shows up consistently to check on the work of his subs and to make sure that you are happy with the job's progress. He has a pleasant personality and is easy to work with. If you call Avi, he picks up the phone, or calls you back right away. If you ask a question, he gives you a straight answer. The Finesse team is professional. Joyce, Avi's assistant, is outstanding. She makes sure that scheduling happens as it should and the right tradespeople are on board. If you text her, she texts you right back. If you call, she answers promptly. Everyday Joyce will inform you of what to expect the next day and what is coming up. This is the best communication experience we have had with any trades people. Avi and Joyce seem to be on the job 24/7. The sub contractors have a history with Finesse. From the demolition guys, the plumbers, the electricians, the painter, the tilesetter, etc., each tradesman performed their job well. Gratefully, they arrived when they said they would. They were cordial. They did their jobs. They cleaned up the job site completely each day which is especially important when you are still residing in your home. The Finesse bid was competitive with other bids we received. We check out Avi's references. One of his references was very close to where we live. I was able to meet the homeowner and look at the job/s Avi had done at her home which included a beautiful new kitchen, a bathroom, and an alteration to part of the interior footprint of the home. The homeowner said she used Avi twice and was completely satisfied with his work and how the jobs were run. Another former client had employed Finesse three times. The repeat business spoke for itself to us. We could not be happier with the job and how smoothly it all went. Thank you, Avi, and to all your team members!

After I had a terrible leak that ruined the floors, walls, and cabinets in three rooms, I wasn’t sure if my house would ever look the same. Avi assured me he could match everything and put it all back together, and put in a very competitive bid for the job. Really glad I went with him, as the work was superior quality. Avi was always reachable – and knowledgeable - to address my concerns and questions. Additionally, the various workmen he sent to my house were all very polite and professional, plus cleaned up after themselves every day. Thanks to Avi and Finesse!

 + 9 moreWork started at the beginning of March 2015 and continued the the next 4+ months. We moved out for the first 3+ months, as the work was extensive and on both floors. Avi and team cranked through and got us back in our home in mid June with 95% of the job complete and just finishing touches and touch ups, which took a few weeks. The work turned out very well, not only in terms of the results but also as to timeline and cost. Moreover, as is always the case, there were little items discovered in the following months that required attention. Avi and his team were responsive and very helpful, seeing to it that the issues were taken care of quickly and properly. I have recommended Finesse to others I know personally and am happy to do so here as well.
Description of Work: In late 2014 we decided to undertake a significant remodel: knocking out a wall between kitchen and dining room, remodeling the kitchen completely, which involved major structural work (working with an engineer) as ours is a 2 story home, including new cabinets, granite counters, lighting and appliances; complete remodel of all 4 bathrooms; design and replace iron handrail for entry stairs, new tile floor throughout the house upstairs and down; re-did the electrical in the house, installing overhead light fixtures where there were previously none and adding a sub-panel; and repainted the entire interior.

However, Avi stood above the rest right from the start. He was the most creative with ideas, communicated appropriately and as needed throughout, and the work was completed in a timely fashion with no surprises. We had 3 (only!) change orders and all were for normal kinds of things and all were handled very professionally with no drama. The final results were great and most importantly - exactly as we imagined and agreed to. The experience was one of the best we have ever had working with construction/remodeling contractors. When it is time to do more work in our Condo we will definitely contact Avi and Finesse first.

So when I needed some general remodeling to get our house ready for sale, he was the person I called. I knew that the job would be done right, and on time. Avi is such a great person, and has wonderful people working for him. Miguel was here early each day, and worked methodically project by project. My experience this time was as great as last time. Avi helped me plan what to do with the fireplace, then directed me to the right people to help me choose what to install, and finally he had a skilled craftsman complete the work. You get what you pay for, and with Avi, that is quality work, done on time, with excellent customer service. I highly recommend Finesse to anyone needing to do any type of remodeling. I am a very happy repeat customer!!

 + 12 moreI wanted to remodel my kitchen, bath and laundry area and was extremely intimidated about the process and had heard so many horror stories from friends about their remodel projects so I knew I needed the right contractor for my project. I interviewed 5 different people and from the beginning knew Avi and Finesse were the right fit for me. He was on the ball and very thorough and exact in describing the process and the steps we needed to take. Everything was in order and the next process in the project flowed smoothly every step of the way. Avi was also the only contractor to mention Lead & Asbestos abatement which turned up lead in our kitchen sink and bathroom tiles that were being ripped out. He wanted to make sure it was taken care of properly because I have a child, 2 dogs and an elderly mother I take care or and their safety was at the forefront of the demo. Honestly, Avi and his team care about their clients and this is a huge plus in going with Finesse Remodeling. Along with the fact that they have a huge commitment to making the project smooth and exactly what the client wants. Avi came in on time and on budget, from beginning to end it was a smooth process. This is all because attention to detail, schedule and the construction process are laid out from day one to the final completion. How many people can brag about a care free remodel? I for one can!!! Avi and his crew were always neat, kind and respectful. They also showed up on time and worked very hard all week. And Joyce in the office is a real doll and always kept me informed on schedule and what was happening during the week.  + 3 moreFinesse Remodeling and Consulting is tops! Avi and his crew are THE BEST AROUND! We first consulted Avi about a kitchen remodel last year and decided to hold off until this year. Instead, we contacted a local window contractor and decided to replace all of our windows for energy efficiency, but it went all wrong! While the retrofits were done properly, our decision to expand a French door and adjacent window into a large four panel slider is where it went awry. Avi saved our lives when we realized that the window contractor had not done the work properly which would have resulted in a sagging ceiling in the not so distant future. Even though windows and doors are not his specialty, Avi was kind enough to help us. Unlike other crews we have come across, the Finesse crew was extremely respectful of our home- they took the proper precautions not to cause damage to the interior and minimize dust while construction was in progress. Joyce kept us informed of all scheduling so we knew what to expect and when. We passed each city inspection the first time (with minimal scrutiny by the inspector) on every inspection date. Now we have a beautiful PERMITTED four panel slider that opens out to my backyard. And, I don't have to worry about my daughter's room crashing down into my family room due to shoddy workmanship! Thank you Avi and the Finesse crew, you all are the best! I can't wait to see what you do to my kitchen!

We met with Avi and we were immediately impressed by his professionalism and with his understanding of the project. We had a good vision of what we wanted to achieve, but with Avi's help, he was able to improve our ideas and we love our new bathrooms. We gutted both the master bathroom and the guest bathroom at the same time, thus allowing them to bring in large crews to work on each project. We always say,"we didn't get 1 plumber, we got 3, we didn't get 1 electrician we got 5" ,so they were able to work quickly and efficiently on each aspect of the job. The bathrooms were completely demolished and reworked, including moving plumbing, removing walls, etc. We had multiple bids for this project but went with Avi at Finesse Remodeling mainly because of all the positive reviews and were not disappointed. Joyce in the office was wonderful - she was in touch almost daily about the schedule and kept things moving and on time. We met with other contractors and he was the only one that made the suggestion of switching our fridge and stove.
