We recently worked with Install-It-Direct to make our backyard more usable. It was a great experience, from the time we got the quote till the backyard was all finished. We are very happy with the way it turned out and would 100% recommend Install-It- Direct if you are looking for reasonable and honest company to convert your backyard.

We recently worked with Install-It-Direct to redo our backyard which posed few challenges due the shape, existing structures and grading. From the initial consultation it was evident that Troy, the designer and project manager from IID, had a plan in mind after listening to our requirements. He quickly drew up designs with mix of pavers, artificial turf, retaining walls and DG at different cost points so we could make well informed decisions. One of the best things is that quote has breakdown of different components so one can make decisions to select the right material and design to fit their budget. The work started on time and the crew was super nice about explaining different paver lay-down options and accommodating few minor changes as the work progressed. The crew showed up on time and left the place cleaned up and safe to the best extent possible. I would highly recommend Install-It-Direct to anyone who is looking for a reasonable and honest company to work with.

Dustin Schmitt was the go-to guy. He designed the plans from our wishes and got the crew to do the work. Fantastic job. Would highly recommend them again

I am super impressed with Install-It-Direct. My consultant, Ron gave me a ton of options to choose from and shared with me addresses of installations so I can go and see what the grass actually looked like after being installed which was very helpful. Ron gave me options that would be perfect for my dogs and the heavy traffic in my backyard from having family get togethers. The process of installing the grass went smoothly and was done in two days! (My yard is around 900 sqft). The installation workers were very friendly and professional. I felt comfortable letting them do their thing while I worked from home. The grass I had installed was "Desert Rye" 65oz. Apparently it's very popular, because it keeps selling out. The grass looks incredibly real and is soft on the feet and the dogs love it! When I showed pictures with friends and family they asked if I had sod or artificial grass installed...that's how authentic this grass looks! I will definitely be recommending Install-It-Direct.

We worked with Chris MacMillan and INSTALL-IT-DIRECT to completely redo our backyard. We installed pavers, a new pergola, paver walls, and a natural gas fire pit. Chris was awesome from start-to-finish. His communication skills are top-notch and he proposes really great design ideas that we hadn't even thought of ourselves. The workers showed up on-time every day and everything came through as scheduled and I was kept in the loop on everything that was going on. This was very well organized and executed. Special thanks to Chris for being a really nice and funny guy too. I would work with this company again in a heartbeat.

After numerous quotes for my mini backyard project I came across Install-It-Direct. I’m pleased to share my experience with the whole team was an absolute pleasure. My interactions with competitor companies were not so positive with some not bothering to make their appointment time with me or call to follow up. Again, I believe it had to do with the fact it had a small job and not a huge profit for bigger companies. Ronald was very understanding and patient with me and I was signing a contract the day prior to stay at home orders. Throughout the process of awaiting my HOA approval he was in touch to follow up and it was reassuring this job wasn’t about the money for their team, it was about the personal/relatability. Fast forward 2 months and the crew was on-site for the install. Everyone on the crew was very professional and friendly and the job is done. I’m a very satisfied customer and definitely recommend Install-It-Direct for your next project.

Very please with Install it Direct. We capitalized on their 20% off winter special and the pricing was the same as all the other contractors we got quotes from. Even if we had to pay a premium, we would have gone with IID. Working directly with a PM makes things SO much easier and Tom was great to work with. He was always really responsive and super helpful. Would highly recommend Tom and IID!

Thomas Jackson consulted with me to understand all the problems existing on the property. Expensive water bills, water puddling, erosion problems, and weed problem. Thomas offered up various ideas and solutions explaining all the pros and cons. Thomas has quite extensive knowledge about real estate construction and landscaping and I felt he provided many great ideas to solve all the problems. Thomas provided samples of the materials and let me know what the cost of all the options are. Never once did I feel like Thomas was trying to sell me anything, all pretty much just giving me all the options and letting me decide. Thomas provided a very competitive quote and broke out all the pieces separately so I could understand the cost.  Thomas also accommodated all the custom requirements I needed to make sure all the various projects going on would fit well together.  Thomas coordinated various projects and did them in a way to save as much money as possible, he is very creative and pays attention to details which is important in real estate projects. Thomas went way above and beyond what I expected which I'm very happy with the product and service he provided.

We hired Install It Direct and Ronald Dombroski for our backyard remodel in 2012. His collaborative approach to Design, Function, and Budget was stress-free and a fun process. All we had in our backyard was a small concrete pad provided by the builder. Our goal was to increase our patio space. What we ended up with was an amazing yard that guided us to unused spaces. In one corner a sitting area, in the other a beautiful gas fire pit and seating area. The two spaces were tied together with a sitting wall and a water feature. Your Designer/Estimator is with you from the initial meeting to the completed project. It is very comforting having your Designer as your Project Manager. The installation team was very skilled and professional. They communicated with us daily and took pride in their work. We have since moved from our home and our new home already had a completed front and backyard. Our new home looked amazing during the day but nighttime was a different story. We really could not use our backyard because it was too dark. The home had lights at the front door, back, garage, and several wall lights around the pool. The front and back were dark and uninviting. We remembered Ron had a passion for lighting so we called him out for a visit. Their approach to lighting is to create a portrait with your yard. The lighting highlights the features of your home while making the space warm and inviting. The fixtures they installed are performing great. In 2012 LED lighting was not cost-effective. Today we have great LED lights that are very efficient and budget-friendly. Some unique features we now have are hanging lights from our wooden pergola and lights placed in our rain gutters to highlight our dormers and cast shadows on our roof shingles. Having worked in the service/hospitality industry for 25+ years, I know how important it is to share positive experiences on social media. My experience with Install-It-Direct was amazing! They listened and let us collaborate through the entire process. My yard was a nightmare, with drainage issues and tons of river rocks and nowhere for my 2 toddlers to play. We used these guys when we first bought the house two years ago. We installed turf and a beautiful stone block bench on one side. After living with it, and loving it, we called them back up to do the other 2/3 of the yard. Ronald came over and talked to us for about an hour, took some measurements, and quickly got us back a quote. The pricing was very fair, but I wouldnâ t know the actual value just yet. As San Diego went through itâ s annual few weeks of on and off rain the project stopped and started a couple times. The admin team was great at scheduling/rescheduling. The weekend before the project was to start I self-installed a gutter to be attached to the French drain they were doing and (of course) I didnâ t do a very good job. Monday arrived and Diego, Israel, Hector, and Leo looked at it and exchanged a few words, and very politely asked if I would mind if they made it a little more efficient? Basically, they fixed my horrible attempt at gutter building and saved my back yard from ever flooding again. This would be tested the following week. After finishing the turf and french drain project, I thanked the team and told them I would certainly share my experience. That weekend it rainedâ ¦and rainedâ ¦and rained some more. Bad news, the french drain trench had sunk a few inches creating a dip in the turf running from the patio to the garage. I called Ronald and he said, â no problem, Iâ ll get the guys back ASAP to fix it!â . These guys rock! Diego came back and fixed it quickly and I couldnâ t be happier with the turf, the french drain, the service, care, and attention to detail these guys put out! Do yourself a favor and let them come give you a bid!

I was able to express my concerns and Saul insured that he would address them during demolition and removal of concrete and soil. Work started on the day scheduled and finished one day early. Ron was there everyday answering questions and answering concerns. Saul was there constantly ensuring that everything was done correctly. I could not be more pleased with the finished product. I would enthusiastically recommend IID for a paver project.

This firm did a great job in demo-ing my large asphalt driveway and installing pavers. The work was completed early with complete clean-up. The end result is a beautiful new look for our house.

What a joy! Ron came and really listened to what we wanted, and gave us beautiful options to make our backyard dreams come true. The samples of artificial turf that he brought were beautiful, and a wide range of styles and feel, and he was very willing to give us multiple estimates, so that we can make a decision that worked for our needs and budget. Fantastic company! Very professional, and they communicate well about the needs of the customer. They try their best to work with you on dates and times for work to be done. I m very delighted to write this testimonial pertaining to my outstanding experience working with Install-It-Direct hardscape company. The work entailed installation of pavers, rocks and artificial grass involving front, side and backyards. After doing my research (cost, reviews, etc.) and meeting with Mr. Ronald Dombroski of Install-It-Direct, I felt very comfortable going forward with the project. I chose them over another local company that had done an extensive hardscape project for another property of mine. Throughout this project Install-It-Direct personnel were very professional, courteous and friendly. Ron worked with me to creatively come up with a design that would fit my budget. Worked with Ron Dombroski to redo the front yard that had been overdue for years. The land was uneven, there were really questionable work from the previous owners that seemed to have accumulated into a mess. Install-it-Direct was very friendly and worked with me to get the front yard into a simplistic design that fit my budget. The best part about this project was the relationship and conversations I had with Ron. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of and he made sure that design was good and worked with me to creatively save costs where it made sense. They are extremely professional and friendly. The most impressive thing about what they do comes all the way down to the quote. It is one of the best things I have ever seen and gave me confidence that this is a solid company to do great work. On project day - the crew did a phenomenal job. The leveled everything - demo'd some concrete and cleared out a lot of debris and junk. They even finished one day earlier than predicted. My experience was wonderful. Dustin, Saul & crew were great. Great to work with & they worked hard. Always cleaned up at the end of the day. I'm so happy with the end result. I would use them again. My front yard was done in 4 days. I was expecting longer so what a nice surprise. Thanks guys!
