After receiving numerous quotes for my mini backyard project I came across Install-It-Direct. I’m pleased to share my experience with the entire team was an absolute pleasure. My interactions with competitors were not so positive (some design consultants missing their agreed upon appointment time and not calling to follow up at all). Again, as mentioned it was a smaller project that likely wouldn’t yield high profits for bigger companies. Ronald was very understanding and relatable and showed great patience with me and I was signing a contract the day prior to stay at home orders due to covid-19. So throughout the process of pending HOA approval and he kept in touch regularly so I had a tentative schedule to expect the work to be done. Within two months the team was on site, for the install. Site lead was Diego and the team was friendly and professional. I was fortunate enough to have shopped around and waited for the right opportunity for the right contractor and would definitely recommend Install-It-Direct for your next landscaping design project.

From inception to design and completion, Install It Direct paid attention to every detail and took the extra steps necessary to complete the project on time and within budget. Where many contractors would have skipped steps or taken shortcuts, Install It Direct really did a fantastic job, worked every day until complete, and cleaned up my property really well. I highly recommend Install It Direct for your next tile, paver, or landscaping project.

Very please with Install it Direct. We capitalized on their 20% off winter special and the pricing was the same as all the other contractors we got quotes from. Even if we had to pay a premium, we would have gone with IID. Working directly with a PM makes things SO much easier and Tom was great to work with. He was always really responsive and super helpful. Would highly recommend Tom and IID!

Thomas Jackson consulted with me to understand all the problems existing on the property. Expensive water bills, water puddling, erosion problems, and weed problem. Thomas offered up various ideas and solutions explaining all the pros and cons. Thomas has quite extensive knowledge about real estate construction and landscaping and I felt he provided many great ideas to solve all the problems. Thomas provided samples of the materials and let me know what the cost of all the options are. Never once did I feel like Thomas was trying to sell me anything, all pretty much just giving me all the options and letting me decide. Thomas provided a very competitive quote and broke out all the pieces separately so I could understand the cost. Thomas also accommodated all the custom requirements I needed to make sure all the various projects going on would fit well together. Thomas coordinated various projects and did them in a way to save as much money as possible, he is very creative and pays attention to details which is important in real estate projects. Thomas went way above and beyond what I expected which I'm very happy with the product and service he provided.

We hired Install It Direct and Ronald Dombroski for our backyard remodel in 2012. His collaborative approach to Design, Function and Budget was stress free and a fun process. All we had in our backyard was a small concrete pad provided by the builder. Our goal was to increase our patio space. What we ended up with was an amazing yard that guided us to unused spaces. In one corner a sitting area, in the other a beautiful gas fire pit and seating area. The two spaces were tied together with a sitting wall and a water feature. Your Designer/Estimator is with you from the initial meeting to the completed project. It is very comforting having your Designer as your Project Manager. The installation team was very skilled and professional. They communicated with us daily and took pride in their work. We have since moved from our home and our new home already had a completed front and backyard. Our new home looked amazing during the day but nighttime was a different story. We really could not use our backyard because it was too dark. The home had lights at the front door, back, garage and several wall lights around the pool. The front and back were dark and uninviting. We remembered Ron had a passion for lighting so we called him out for a visit. Their approach to lighting is to create a portrait with your yard. The lighting highlights the features of your home while making the space warm and inviting. The fixtures they installed are performing great. In 2012 LED lighting was not cost effective. Today we have great LED lights that are very efficient and budget friendly. Some unique features we now have are hanging lights from our wooden pergola and lights placed in our rain gutters to highlight our dormers and and cast shadows on our roof shingles. Having worked in the service/hospitality industry for 25+ years, I know how important it is to share positive experiences on social media. My experience with Install-It-Direct was amazing! They listened and let us collaborate through the entire process. My yard was a nightmare, with drainage issues and tons of river rocks and nowhere for my 2 toddlers to play. We used these guys when we first bought the house two years ago. We installed turf and a beautiful stone block bench on one side. After living with it, and loving it, we called them back up to do the other 2/3 of the yard. Ronald came over and talked to us for about an hour, took some measurements, and quickly got us back a quote. The pricing was very fair, but I wouldn’t know the actual value just yet. As San Diego went through it’s annual few weeks of on and off rain the project stopped and started a couple times. The admin team was great at scheduling/rescheduling. The weekend before the project was to start I self-installed a gutter to be attached to the French drain they were doing and (of course) I didn’t do a very good job. Monday arrived and Diego, Israel, Hector, and Leo looked at it and exchanged a few words, and very politely asked if I would mind if they made it a little more efficient? Basically, they fixed my horrible attempt at gutter building and saved my back yard from ever flooding again. This would be tested the following week. After finishing the turf and french drain project, I thanked the team and told them I would certainly share my experience. That weekend it rained…and rained…and rained some more. Bad news, the french drain trench had sunk a few inches creating a dip in the turf running from the patio to the garage. I called Ronald and he said, “no problem, I’ll get the guys back ASAP to fix it!”. These guys rock! Diego came back and fixed it quickly and I couldn’t be happier with the turf, the french drain, the service, care, and attention to detail these guys put out! Do yourself a favor and let them come give you a bid!

Exceptional in every aspect. Ron Drombroski, project manager, explained every aspect of the process in detail. He gave me a number of references to look at. When I viewed these projects I walked around the neighborhood and you could see the the difference in the quality of workmanship with Install It Direct. The week before the project began Ron brought the crew chief, Saul, to meet me. I was able to express my concerns and Saul insured that he would address them during demolition and removal of concrete and soil. Work started on the day scheduled and finished one day early. Ron was there everyday answering questions and answering concerns. Saul was there constantly ensuring that everything was done correctly. I could not be more pleased with the finished product. I would enthusiastically recommend IID for a paver project.

Alan did a great job. He was professional, personable, polite, thorough and did a great clean up. He fixed our problem, placed the turf back perfectly, and left the area perfectly clean. I couldn’t be happier with his work and with each interaction I had with Install it Direct.

They installed artificial grass in my backyard. It looks amazing! They did an amazing job! Would definitely recommend. They showed up on time. The install went really smoothly. The crew was super nice and helpful. They were able to get it installed in 1 day like they said in the morning. Great experience all around!

Install-It-Direct created a wonderful front yard for us. The planning and execution was flawless. James and his team understood our requirements, created a design matching our imagination, suggested the best paver combinations, were responsive and prompt in answering the questions and completed the paver and artificial turf install project in committed time. The post construction support has also been great. The lights in pillars were fixed for short circuit. Overall, a pleasant experience at reasonable cost!

Worked with Ron Dombroski to redo the front yard that had been overdue for years. The land was uneven, there were really questionable work from the previous owners that seemed to have accumulated into a mess. Install-it-Direct was very friendly and worked with me to get the front yard into a simplistic design that fit my budget. The best part about this project was the relationship and conversations I had with Ron. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of and he made sure that design was good and worked with me to creatively save costs where it made sense. They are extremely professional and friendly. The most impressive thing about what they do comes all the way down to the quote. It is one of the best things I have ever seen and gave me confidence that this is a solid company to do great work. On project day - the crew did a phenomenal job. The leveled everything - demo'd some concrete and cleared out a lot of debris and junk. They even finished one day earlier than predicted. I can't really ask for much better. Thanks guys.

Steve was professional and was always available to answer any questions we had. He was courteous and receptive to any last minute requests or changes to the work order. The crew was respectful and professional throughout the project duration. The project was a little over budget but very much worth the additional cost.

James came out and estimated the job, interpreted my notebook sketch and gave me a very reasonable estimate. Two weeks later, my driveway was finished. The crew was clean, respectful and delivered exactly what I asked James for. One of the best home improvement projects I've ever had done in my 20 years of home ownership. Highly recommend James and Install It Direct!!

Wow! Can't believe how beautiful my courtyard looks after a complete remodel by Install-It-Direct. I watched IID install artificial turf at my neighbor's house next door almost nine months ago, so I observed before I signed a contract. Very respectful and professional team. They were quick and kept the work area very neat. My neighbor was still super satisfied more than six months after her project, so I was convinced this was the company for me. I was not disappointed !!! This was the first home improvement project where I couldn't find anything at all to complain about !! Not even any nick-picky complaints ! Beautiful work. Very efficient. They deliver more than they promise at a fair rate. I highly recommend IID. Thanks to Steve Brown, Diego and the crew !!

This review is directed towards the crew that performed the work for my project. Ruffino and his crew were the best set of guys I have worked with in 6 years I have been doing remodeling and contracting work. His crew were always professional, on time, happy and worked very well together. Ruffino is an amazing contractor and knows his trade very well. Everyone of the guys were respectful to my family and neighbors during their 8 days at my house. I would recommend his crew to anyone!

So impressed with Emily and her team! From the first meeting all our questions and concerns were addressed and great suggestions were made. Finished product is beyond beautiful and fully meets our need for this rental property.

Our front and back yard were just completed by Install It Direct - I am not an outdoor person, whatsoever; however, for the first time in years I am excited about spending time outside with my kids and dogs! For Consultation and Design, we met with Emily and instantly hit it off! For Demolition, Construction, and Finishing, we had Rufino's crew who were nothing short of amazing. They were courteous, polite, always on time, and some of the hardest workers I have ever seen. These gentlemen are truly experts at their craft and the work they did to transform our yard was exceptional! I'll never be able to thank them enough! If you're ever in the market - I would highly recommend Emily, Rufino and the rest of their crew!

Fantastic! Steven as the project manager and Walther as the Installer/designer were incredible! We thought we only wanted our patio done in pavers, but it looked so good we decided to have the walkway up to our front porch done also. That looked great, so we decided to include the driveway! Everything looks incredible. The ideas that Steven and Walther came up with really helped us decide what we wanted to do. I would recommend this company and these guys to anyone that wants to install pavers at their house - you can't go wrong. Steven told me they are so pleased how our project turned out, that they actually use Photos of our house to show possible customers...

We had such a great experience with Install It Direct and our project manager Emily for our backyard renovation project. We first met Emily with no clear idea of what we wanted other than a modern patio & outdoor kitchen. Emily helped us conceptualize and design something that I know we couldn't have designed alone. We trusted her design aesthetic completely and we appreciated her attention to detail and quick thinking. Using the materials thoughtfully to elevate the space is definitely one of Emily's strengths. The whole process was easy and quick from demo to completion. Andy and his crew were so friendly and finished the huge job in about two weeks. Now we are so stoked to have our dream outdoor entertaining space. We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Emily & Install It Direct!

Install-It-Direct did an amazing job. They removed our old concrete patio, installed proper drainage, pavers, artificial turf, and a pergola (covered and with slats). We worked with Emily who oversaw our whole project, from consultation all the way to completion. She was excited about helping with us from the first meeting. The initial consultation took a few hours, to go over everything and do measurements. She came back a day or so later with visuals and computer renderings to help us see what she was talking about. We looked at other companies and smaller vendors, and it either took too long to get ideas, quotes, or any information about these types of projects. Saul oversaw the construction with his crew. They worked very hard and were very professional. Their work is great! During the construction process, Emily was still very hands on and came by almost everyday to check on progress. One thing that I think would help, would be for either the company to go around to the neighbors and inform them of the upcoming work, or provide a flyer to the neighbors with information about what the neighborhood can expect during construction with contact numbers on it. We live on a cul de sac and they do have big trucks and a lot of equipment coming and going. I knew it was going to be major work, but never having done it before I did not know the scope. If you are looking into having this type of work done, you can not go wrong with Install-It-Direct.

In preparation for putting in a patio, side walkway, and widening the driveway(all with pavers) we researched many companies and poured over the reviews. We obviously made the right choice because we are very pleased with the quality of work and thrilled with the final product. Crew Fernando H was always on time, friendly, professional, courteous and our toddler enjoyed every second of watching them work. Emily stayed on top of everything, gave regular updates, and delivered what she promised. We highly recommend!

We recently had the pleasure of working with Emily Ayala of Install it Direct. After weeks of meeting with potential contractors, we met with Emily from 5-7:30 on a Thursday evening. By 6:30 the next morning we had paver samples on our driveway, a quote and a drawing. Impressive!
