+ -1 moreThe service man showed up a bit later than expected but the receptionist did call well in advance to inform me that he would be a little later than expected. They told me they would call before he started to my house so I could go about my day/errands. When he arrived he was very professional and kind. Asked me a few key questions and got straight to work. He had the part need on his truck and was completely finished with invoice in hand in less than an hour. My shower was fixed. He even checked to make sure the drain wasn't running slow after he fixed the faucet and found that the drain didn't need to be cleaned after all. I'm definitely happy with the service recieved!
Description of Work: The diverter for my shower/tub had come out and the faucet needed to be replaced. I also felt like I needed to have the drain cleaned.

+ -1 moreMuch about the story is above mentioned.....But again I couldn't think of a company that was more client focused. They changed two outdoor faucets for me and a sink faucet that I had purchased....the installer was clean, on time, responsive and apologetic for the mix up in scheduling that was caused by their receptionist....No big deal at all.
Description of Work: I am a hospital chaplain and was on call for a serious trauma in our ER. Their receptionist confused my appointment with another client who had an identical first name as mine. So I missed the appointment. When I called the Plumbing Therapist was so understanding, owned their mistake and arrived the next day and presented my with a bill with a discount because of the difficulties I went through in getting to my home the next day. The installer was courteous, kind, professional and made me feel that I was living in a past decade where this kind of behavior was more the norm. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Thank you Plumbing Therapist for being so decent this this chaplain customer.

Description of Work: 1 bathtub and one bathroom sink were draining slowly. The drains were cleared. The plumber pointed out the error of the bathtub installation by the contractor who remodeled the bathroom. The bathtub installation can not be repaired without major work.

Description of Work: I contacted this company after studying various businesses about a plumbing problem. I described the problem in detail via e-mail. Bonnie contacted me quickly saying they would love to come to my home to give me an estimate and look at what I had in mind. I e-mailed them with days I would be available requesting she get back to me with a convenient day/time for an appointment. I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM AGAIN. I e-mailed several more times again receiving no reply. I gave up and have since found someone else not through Angie's List. I'm very disappointed in the lack of action from this company.

+ 0 moreBonnie answered the phone right away, got my information and told me she would call back with an approximate time of the house call. This all occurred within a very efficient time frame. Mike, the service person, came out ahead of schedule (he called to ask permission to come early, which was fine). The cost was the exact amount as the phone estimate. Mike was personable. He showed me the problem and what he was doing to snake it. (He was also kind to my curious six year old child).
Description of Work: Snaked the pipes; cleared the drain.

+ 0 moreThe Plumber, Mike arrived within the time frame set; he was very clean and professional in his appearance and interaction. He was friendly and not intimidating. He performed the work quickly and solved the problem in my bathroom sink (clogged by a pecan nut that a squirrel most likely dropped into the air vent on the roof!). He also cleaned the shower drain, answered my questions about changing out some other bathroom fixtures, and on the way out the door, tightened a dripping hose bib outside. He left the bathroom clean and dry. I would definitely use his service again in the future; I already have plans to call him back to change out the other fixtures mentioned. Oh! A real plus: he was available after my regular work hours at no extra charge, which was very helpful to me, in order to not miss valuable work hours on my job. He provides good plumbing therapy.

+ -1 moreI called 4 companies to give me quotes, the other three companies were able to come out the same day, look at the water heater and give me immediate quotes. The Plumbing Therapist couldn't come out until the next afternoon and I had to chase them a couple times to get the quote. They could not install the new water heater until 2 days later. It seems they are quite busy. However they did have the lowest price (other quotes ran up to $1,400) and were able to install the water heater when they promised. I would use them again for non-urgent matters but it seems unlike other plumbers they have difficulty reacting quickly. Most other plumbers I have used have been able to get onsite within one to three hours but The Plumbing Therapist can't get there for several hours or the next day plus no after hours service. However they do seem to have good prices.
Description of Work: Water heater was old and needed replacing.

Their estimate was 1/5 of the other companies estimate. I hired The Plumbing Therapist to complete the work which they did in a completely professional manner. I would definitely use The Plumbing Therapist for any plumbing needs that I may have in the future.
Description of Work: Replace approximately 15' of 2" cast iron pipe with ABS for a kitchen drain line that was leaking.

+ -1 moreThe kitchen sink backed up Sunday night. Called Plumbing Therapist the following Monday at 6AM and left a voice message. Called them again at 9AM as I did not receive a call back. They just got my earlier message. Scheduled an appointment that afternoon and it was fixed in 20 minutes. They charge for the full hour, but I received a 15% discount. The plumber was very professional and quick.
Description of Work: Cleaned clogged sink drain. He explained what caused clog and recommended preventative measures.

Description of Work: toilet supply line was leaking, damaged baseboard and wall. mike came quickly on a saturday evening and fixed it. also reattached our dishwasher as it was loose at the top screws. diagnosed a leak in the bathroom sink as a flaw in the bowl overflow, not fixable. installed anti-siphon rebuild kit on 2 outdoor lawn sprinkler controllers.

I left a message early on Saturday morning and received a return call within an hour. They were booked until Monday afternoon and since this wasn't a plumbing emergency, we were fine with that. They agreed to call us when they were on their way to our home, which they did. Brian was very nice and took his time to explain what he was doing and tips for what I might want to do in the future. We will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: New supply lines throughout the house (kitchen, laundry, 3 bathrooms, 4 hose bibs). The old supply lines were encased in a concrete slab. They sprung leaks within the slab in both hot and cold lines and flooded our crawl space (the ground floor of our 2-story house is 1/4 crawl space, 3/4 slab). This firm analyzed the problem and laid out two alternatives, one to break up the slab and repair the leaks directly, the other to clase off and abandon the leaking pipes in the slab and reroute the pipes outside the slab. We chose the rerout alternative. It was a lot of work requiring imaginative solutions. The price incuded replacing our old tank hot water heater with a new tankless heater. The whole job required attention to a lot of details and they never forgot anything they promised to do even if it was something that came up in casual conversation. They worked steadily to get the major work done in about three days, then came back every day for the next few days to clean up the details. They approach the job as if they were working on their own house -- very high standards. It's a relief not to have pipes buried in the slab anymore, do we love that tankless hot water heater!

+ 0 moreWhen we noticed our problem on Sat, they were able to come out Monday. Brian was professional, friendly, and as a woman in my home alone at the time, I felt very comfortable. The price was below what I expected. He was extremely thorough and I would call TPT again. We have found our plumber!
Description of Work: Our shower and toilet were backing up over the weekend. Brian came out and checked the drainage both from the house to the outside/ and the outside to the main drain. He didn't want to leave without thoroughly checking everything.

Description of Work: I was trying to change the shower head and i broke off the pipe. I bought about $75.00 worth of tools, but couldn't get that last piece out. I called the Plumbing Therapist after reading the great reviews on your list, and I have to say - THE GUY THAT CAME WAS SUPER!!! Even he had a little trouble getting that little piece out, which made me fell better. He finally got it out and put in my new shower head. I'm always so afraid to call someone, without a good recommendation. None of my friends could give me the name of a good plumber. I now have a great plumber that I can call and feel comfortable with - and one I can recommend to other friends...Thanks so much

+ -1 moreToilet started leaking from tank. The toilet is a smaller size so harder to get parts for and harder to replace. Called late on Wednesday, then The Plumbing Therapists did a lot of leg work to find the best possible toilet for the best possible price. Communication with me was excellent. After all the work of finding the right toilet, the repairman was able to just fix the offending toilet thus saving us lots of money. He also took a look at the other toilet in the house, replaced the fill valve and got the toilet flushing better for us. Work was done on Friday morning. Very nice people, very professional, and they work very hard to please the customer. I highly recommend.
Description of Work: Called to have The Plumbing Therapist install a new toilet (replacing a leaking one). In the end, the repairman was able to fix the toilet instead of installing a new one. Changed out the fill valve and replaced o-rings to stop leaking. Then I asked him to look at the other toilet in the house as it was not getting a great flush. He changed out the fill valve on that one too, and now it works great.

+ -1 moreI can't say enough good things about Bonnie and Mike Denico - they should be on every new homeowner's speed dial. Mike came out and gave me an estimate for all of the plumbing items that needed work in my new (old) house. The day after I closed escrow Mike had the water main replaced and as soon as I got the bathroom demo'd he got the pipes in there all worked out. AND during the weekend when I first moved in and found that there was a blockage in the pipes that made the washing machine into a huge fountain, Mike came out on Sunday afternoon and had everything back in fine working order within 30 minutes, for $80. I call that a bargain. Since it's an old house I am sure that there will be many plumbing issues in my future, and Mike and Bonnie will be the first people I call.
Description of Work: Replaced galvanized water main with copper, re-piped bathroom sink and shower, installed complicated shower head.
