The owner, Brian Huft came out, and did a thourough explaination of the type of work they would be doing. He took all the measurements, took it back to the office and did a complete plan that would work in my historic home that had never had heating and air before. I had the old radiator heat, gravity heat before. When he returned with the bid and the explanation, I was please to have him come out and do the work. They were very professional and did a great job.

Excellent! I'm not familiar with heating and air systems and any other repair person could have told me something major was wrong with my system and I would have never known. Of course I would have had to received multiple quotes to compare rates had that been the case, the technician from Huft, Lenny was very honest and helpful saving me the hassle of having to do this. He pointed out the gas valve that had somehow been shut off that I was not aware of, turned it on, checked the system and we were good to go. As embarrassed as I was not to have gone up into the attic myself to check that, his professionalism and honesty has now cemented my loyalty to Huft. The attic entrance is over my wife's clothing and Lenny was even so courteous as to remind me that we should probably cover my wife's clothing so I don't get in trouble! Thanks for watching my back Lenny! :)

Our AC broke; we had a cheaper estimate but went with this company and they explained what was really necessary to thoroughly change the system (I checked with my dad who is a guru of all things mechanical etc., and he said they were right on). They did the work promptly and well, and we like the unit. It's quieter--and we're cooler

Huft had come out in January and I had purchased their yearly maintenance plan for $143. Just like they said, their office called me to remind me to set up the six-month appointment. The girl in the office is great - very friendly and courteous. We set the time for 8am-10am and Bob was there before 8:30. The office called me prior to the appointment to give me an approximate arrival time. Bob was again very thorough and courteous. My unit is 20 years old and he spent time explaining the advantages of a new system and how it would work, but didn't pressure me to purchase one. I really appreciate that. I will continue to use them for my heating system needs.

My air conditioning was not cooling the house - the fan would work, but the compressor outside would not come on. After checking the reports on Angie's list, I called Huft, spoke with Kay (who was extremely polite and service oriented); she took my information, provided me with the cost for a service call ($69 which I found to be very reasonable) and scheduled an appointment for me 3 days later. I was told the technician would arrive between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Brian arrived very promptly at 9:20 and apologized for being late. I didn't consider him to be late - quite the opposite. He asked a few questions then went outside to check the a/c compressor. Within a few minutes, he was able to identify the problem; he called the manufacturer of the a/c unit and verified that he had the correct replacement part. Within 40 minutes of arrival, he had completed the diagnosis, installed the new capacitor, cleaned the coils, as well as inspecting the heating unit in the attic. He was extremely pleasant and efficient. I will definitely use their services again and will feel very comfortable referring them to others.

I was very impressed with the owner, Brian Huft, when he came to give me the estimate. He told me that he had the best installers in town and they would use "booties" when they entered my house and be very good about cleaning up afterward. They showed up when they said they would and proceeded to get started. There was a glitch when the furnace was too tall to fit into my space, however, they were able to cut the platform it sat on and make it work. They did use booties upon entering and installed new registers and then checked them to make sure they were acting according to code. Their cleanup was not meticulous but it was good. Brian came to my house the day after the installation to make sure everything was working well and made an adjustment to the system to make it as quiet as possible. Brian is very sincere and wants the customer to be satisfied.

I was very pleased. The last inspection of my heat pump had been several years ago so I wasn't hopeful - figured there'd be something really wrong with the unit. The person in the office is great - wonderful to talk to! She gave me a two-hour time frame on the day I requested and were there within half-an-hour of the start time. Both Jason & Bob were professional - they showed me what they were doing and explained how things worked - and were more than willing to answer my questions. I told them upfront that although I know my heat pump is due to be replaced, I couldn't afford it right now, and they didn't try to pressure me to purchase a new system. I really appreciated that. I ended up purchasing their twice-a-year maintenance plan and they will come back out in early summer to check the unit again.

He went on the roof, checked meters, adjusted gas pressures, monitored basic maintenance needs and did an efficient job. I was pleased with their service, it has made a difference in my heating. I signed a maintenance agreement for future service and found them on Angie's List.

They were very good. They came out for an annual service check up on my HVAC unit. They were on time. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them to others.

I thought it went well. They were very professional. They made sure the job was done and done right. They offered me a good price for everything. I was very happy with it.

Our air conditioner stopped cooling during the 100+ degree heat this month (July 2008) in the evening. I phoned one company who promised to return our call the next day. I waited until mid-morning, called them and they said they could not come out for 5 days. I then phoned Huft. They immediately scheduled us for an appt that same day. The technician, James, arrived a few minutes early, was fine with our friendly Labrador. He was efficient and left his work area clean.

It was quick, simple and everyone I dealt with was very friendly. I am very pleased and I've already recommended them to friends.

Brian Huft and his company did an OUTSTANDING JOB! Considering the custom nature of this job in terms of the plenum redesign and supply duct repairs this was no routine/quick replacement of an older unit! Brian seems to truly enjoy doing high quality custom work as if he thrives on the challenge. From start to finish Brian was a pleasure to work with and he also has dedicated and knowledgeable HVAC technicians working with him. We are extremely (repeat EXTREMELY) pleased with our new state-of-the-art American Standard (A/S) packaged Heat Pump, A/S Electronic Air Cleaner, and Honeywell Digital touch Screen Thermostat, including the retrofitted supply and return ducting! Simply put, we would highly recommend Huft Heating and Air (Owner: Brian Huft) to anyone who needs custom HVAC work done, or wants only high quality work done along with having pleasant and knowledgeable people to work with! Lastly the Huft bid for the entire project was very competitive compared to the other responding contractors. We especially appreciated Brian s automatic inclusion of the Factory 10 year extended warranty on ALL three major components; Heat Pump, Electronic Air Cleaner, and the Thermostat! Without hesitation we would highly recommend Huft Heating and Air!

Heater stopped working Christmas Eve. We were just leaving for relative's home and upon our return, I checked Angie's List. One company was not answering their phone, so I moved down the list and found Huft. The soonest they could come out was the next day. Jason arrived an hour early and proceeded to try and diagnose the malfunctioning heater. He spent about 2 hours trying multiple things and finally decided that some valve was shot. He called the parts supplier from my house and recommended that since the heater was 30 years old, it would be prudent to replace it with an energy efficient model instead of throwing money at an old system. They claimed that they were having a big sale because of the slumping new house building situation and left a brochure for a Goodman system. I researched Goodman and called around to check prices on Trane and others. I was satisfied that Huft was on the level. It was installed 3 days later. SMUD finance people were terrible so I paid cash.

My daughter lives in an apartment with an older gas wall heater. The Huft service representative came out immediately. They diagnosed the problem and made the necessary repairs. Their work was thorough, the service representative was excellent. They cleaned up after the repair and were available for follow up questions. I was very impressed!

I was very impressed with their customer service. They got back to me right away! They sent me an estimate on the work they would be doing, how much it would cost, what parts they would be using and when they would be done. They did a great job! I got several estimates for this job and they seemed the most knowledgeable. Their installers were professional and their customer service was excellent!

I thought that Huft Air Conditioning did a really good job by coming out quickly and repairing the problem thoroughly. Jason, one of the repairmen, was very polite and pleasant. I would definitely recommend them to others in our area.

Brian and Bob came out to diagnose my air conditioning unit. They did a through job with the diagnosis. They spent haft an hour and checked all the electrical connections, the thermostats, and the controller in the attic. They were on time and was very professional when they showed up. I was very please with the work and decided to sign up for their annual service.

They saved the day. I had hired a company before this to do the same job that they did for me and they overcharged me and didn t do anything. This company came in and told me exactly what was wrong with it and fixed the problem with ease. I would definitely have them out to my home for more repairs if I need it.

He showed up 1 hour early and found problem within 10 minutes. He had part on truck. Replaced part within 15 minutes and recommended regular maintenance as air conditioner is 17 years old.

It went great!! We called in the morning and got an appointment for that day, which was quite surprising. Our service window was between 12-2pm. I contacted the company at 11:50 and found out our tech was on his way. He arrived at 12:05 and stayed until after 2pm. He was very thorough and really inspected our system, cleaned it and made sure it was running properly before he left. He explained everything really well and gave very good suggestions for ways we could improve our efficiency. We have had a lot of problems with our AC unit in the past and unfortunately, have had a number of companies out here before. Jason J. from Huft was definitely knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. I was very pleased.

They did a fantastic job on everything. Very pleasant people to deal with. We felt very comfortable leaving them alone in any room of our house.

So far everything has gone very well. We are still waiting for the air vents, but the main problem was solved very quickly, and we were very pleased with the outcome and the timely manner.
