Our technician Jet came out and after diagnosing the problem he discussed what he found with us and also suggested some preventive maintenance procedures to save us from some future maintenance. After agreeing on work to be done Jet took care of the necessary repairs and now the air conditioning is working perfectly. We were very pleased with the professional and honest work performed and will definitely be calling Huft Heating and Air Conditioning for any future repairs.

First repairman got unit started by replacing capacitor and a switch. I asked him to check the coolant level and he said it was fine. 3 days later I had them back because although running it was not cooling. The new guy discovered that it was almost empty of refrigerant. He tightened a valve which he suspected of leaking. I am still not sure how we got from completely fine to empty. The second and I think more senior tech took the time to check out the entire system. They were quick to respond and eventually fixed it. Thought price was high at almost $1,000 for both visits.They were professional and communicative.

Work was performed as was promised. We did not get any other bids but probably should have. We were not pressured in any way so the decision was strictly ours. We met a representative at out home on Friday and the work was done on the following Monday. That was important as within 2 weeks the very HOT weather showed up. We did compare quite a few reviews of other companies. Huft Heat and Air had no reviews that were Red Flags to us. That is one of the reasons we chose them.

A technician arrived at the appointed time and easily diagnosed the problem. I had purchased the unit and had it installed 6 years prior by another company but I couldn't recall if it was still under warranty. The tech did some research and found out it was under warranty and rather than charging me for more than $49 service call, suggested I call the original installing company, since that might save me money with labor, stating he would gladly do the repair if that was my preference. I did decide to call the installer, and that was the right decision since it was a problem with a part they had already replaced for me, they had had the same problem with other units from the manufacturer. I am confident my house will be cool this summer, that's all that counts, right? Even though Huft didn't do my repair, they showed professionalism with helping me come up with the right solution and help me safe money in the process.

VERY BAD!! The technician constantly made excuses for the soot coming out of the vents. They refused to paint the rooms that were covered with the soot st the ceilings. One tech stated that the soot was due to me burning candles. At that point I knew that he was not willing to making me hold. The owner, Brian Huff, so he said did finally get the unit running/operating to where the unit does heat and cool my house but the refusal to paint the rooms they damaged!! NOTE: At the outset I was under the impression that my unit and duct would be replaced or repaired as need! Once I checked the contract closely I feel like I was taking advantage of; I hope that Huft heating and Air conditioning be removed for your list!!! One tech. Stated that two of my bedrooms was getting to hot and I should leave the doors open. Brian Huft I believe finally came out and made the appropriate adjustments. I WILL NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. I felt that some of the tech.,were bias. THERE WERE SO MUCH SOOT THAT THE AIR FILTERS WERE BLACK!!!

Matt was very professional. We found out that our ducts in the attic were disconnected and he went and got all the supplies, because he tried to connect them, but they wouldn't connect, so we had him connect them. The problem was before I moved in, they had sealed it with duct tape and over time it became so loose that it lost it's power to hold. Matt put zip ties to hold them together. Thank you Matt!

In general, it went well. Everyone from Huft was very professional. The salesperson could not tell me the brand of water heater that would be installed. I had responded to ad on Angie's list. I should have paid attention to this. In the past, sales reps from other companies could tell me the brand name of the product, and if it qualified for a rebate. The product that was installed is an excellent product, but doesn't qualify for a rebate. The service personnel were all very polite and professional. What I would have done differently is pursued finding out the brand name of the product before it was installed and found out if it qualified for any SMUD rebates before making the purchase. In general, I would give Huft an excellent rating for service. They came back two days later when the water heater wasn't producing hot water, and installed new fuses. The technician was very professional and courteous. As a consumer, remember to jot down as many questions as possible before you meet with the contractor.

Huft was a "no-show" to our appointment. We called to see what was going on and they said the person called in sick. This happens, however we found it very unprofessional that no one else came in their place or they didn't call to reschedule.

I saw an ad on Angie's list for a Quiet Cool Trinity Pro 3.3 whole house fan system installed for a good price. However, I wasn't quite sure the 3.3 would move enough air for my sq. footage. I left a msg. and Christopher the owner called me back the next day as he was out of town. We talked about the system and since I already had a pre-existing fan, but it was the old style box top from 20 years ago that sounded like a plane taking off. Christopher assured me the 3.3 would be more than enough for my sq. footage, especially since I installed a Quiet Cool Attic Gable Vent fan that moves a lot of air too. He also said the noise reduction would amaze me and it did. It's been turned on high and the lady of the house didn't even know it was turned on. Since, I know how to tape, top, texture, and paint, Christopher gave me a great discount from the Angie's list price. The guys, Phil and Eddie, showed up on time and ready to go. It went by fairly fast and I've just finished taping it out. Tomorrow or the day after, I'll get down to topping it and finish it with some orange peel texture spray to match the existing texture and paint. Great team and great price for a great product. They were punctual and professional. Got the job done well.

They do it regularly. They come out spring and winter. I get kind of a deal from them because I've been using them. Nine years ago, I bought brand new stuff. They took out everything. I had to get it approved by the county. They've been fine. They've been good. I use them yearly. They didn't charge me hardly anything. I think I paid for the filter. It was $36 to switch the filter out in the furnace, they change it every year.

They did a good job. They had a good price for a good job.

Matt, got in their and the pan was okay, but there was a lot of built up dirt and freeze on was needed. He saved us a lot of money and we are going to him when this very old system goes out and purchase a new unite from Huft. He gave us confidence in their work and we find that honesty is important! This repair may last months, but it could last longer! That is our gamble! But "Honesty and Good Skills", which they have, is important!

We called Huft on 8/3. They had someone out on 8/7 to look at the problem. The primary drain line had gotten clogged and needed to be blown out. Since this was considered to be an issue arising from the ductwork replacement, it was done at no charge. Sean was on time, efficient, and explained in detail what had happened and what to look out for in the future.

Great. they did not try to sell us a unit just because they want to.

When I first used them they were the only ones who would come out on a Sunday. They are prompt, clean and do a good job and their prices seem fair.

Ryan did the initial review and estimate on 7/19/17. He was on time, knowledgeable and walked us through the whole process. He provided multiple quotes for replacement of the entire HVAC system, but that was out of our budget at this time. We decided to proceed with just replacement and repair as needed; this also included replacement of all air registers, a larger return, and proper sizing of the ductwork (we have a 3.5 ton system for a house which really only requires 2 tons--we have no idea why). The crew arrived on time on 7/25. They were fast, completing the job well within the estimated time. The entire project was reviewed before they started. They were careful, clean and professional. We will definitely contact Huft again when it does become time to replace the current system.

They go above and beyond to try to help you. I wouldn't use any one else.

The pricing was good. I have no complaints. Two people came out to do the job. It took them about three hours to complete.

Huft was able to schedule me within a week (it was a busy time for everyone). The technician came when scheduled and replaced a broken part quickly. I felt that the fee was fair and there was no attempt to sell me additional services. I really appreciated the professionalism of the technician.

Very thorough. Even gave a cooy of the inspection sheet, which listed every item that had been checked. I do feel secure that the system will keep performing properly.

The installers were professional, courteous and got the job done in a reasonable period of time.
