Technician was on time, called in advance, gave me an honest review of my vent saying it needed no cleaning as it was clean. Noticed that washer hoses needed replacement with wire wrapped hoses and performed the job immediately on my approval.

The service mostly went okay. We had a problem with them cutting through the water line, but they called to have this fixed. We are still trying to have some small things fixed with this problem but Dryer Vent Wizard has been very good at getting this resolved.

We just moved into our house in March, and I already knew the dryer vent needed cleaning very badly. We already blew out one dryer before we realized what was going on. Our laundry area is in the middle of the house and goes up to the roof, so we knew it was going to be a little more expensive. Jason came to give us an estimate in August, and what I thought was just a cleaning turned out that the connection from the wall through the attic was just a mickey-moused flexible hose that was no longer in code since the 80's (or something like that). So to replace all that with 7 feet of steel vent was going to be $250, and then $100 for the vent cleaning within the wall. We couldn't afford the steel vent installation, so we called him back a month later. Jason was amazing. He was very courteous; quietly went about his work. Got there within the time allotted. Explained EVERYTHING afterward. Showed us the old vent hose and the new steel vent. The old vent hose was CLOGGED with lint, which is why it's such a fire hazard. The lint just sticks in there. I joined up with their maintenance service, and I will be calling them again in a year to get the regular maintenance. (This is our first house we've purchased, so I was very excited to have our first home improvement and have such a great experience). The technician from Dryer Vent performed an inspection whose results confirmed my dryer repair technicians assessment. He also talked about standard problems and resolutions. I received an estimate for the repairs, and the total time on site was approximately 90 minutes. The technician was great as he answered my questions about the entire process. My dryer works more efficiently now. Although the price was a little steep in my estimation, the service was worthwhile and I would recommend them to anyone.

While it is difficult to actually tell how badly the vent was in need of cleaning, I was interested in avoiding any worries about a dryer vent fire. The home was built in 1974 and I have only been able to clean the top 5 feet since the vent goes up 10 feet through my roof. It is a Streng, single story home with no attic for access. The Tech did a airflow test upon arrival and said it was around 8 vs. the 15-20 that it should be. I hadn't noticed that it was taking longer to dry clothes but, like anything you do all the time, the slow down can escape notice. The tech was on time , professionally dressed, well spoken and knowledgable. His explianed what he would do and what to exp[ect afterwards along with a correct timetable for the work. After checking out my setup from the dryer room and the roof , he attached a vacuum to the interior, vent opening and , from the roof brrushed dowward to remove all the buildup. Took about hour from arriavl to finish and no mess. gave me some tips, after offering a lefetime srevice contract in a proffessional manner, low key, about what steps to take to keep my vent clean ongoing.Much appreciated. Job well done and I would recommend the company.

A serviceman came out the same day I called. He was an hour early, but called ahead to see if I was available. His outfit was a little peculiar for the work - he was in a white shirt and trousers instead of jeans and a polo shirt, but he was knowledgeable and went right to work. He asked me to make a couple of decisions and then managed to install a superior venting material even though the space was so tight it required additional effort on his part. The new venting material is fireproof and I have an unexpected bonus - confidence that my dryer will not burn down my house. I got my money's worth with this firm.

This was a pleasant experience. I received a quote over the phone but was told up front the price could vary a little depending on the nature of the work. My dryer vents through the roof and thus was a little more expensive. When the technician arrived--on time (4 hour window, he arrived near the beginning of the window)--we discussed additional work he could do besides cleaning the dryer vent, and I agreed to having the dryer vacuumed out and my old dry vent hose replaced. He estimated the work would take about 2.5 hours total and he was done in about 2 hours. He was diligent about keeping me informed as to what he was doing. He did air-flow readings before (4 mph) and after (23 mph) the cleaning and explained various things I could do to keep my dryer and washer functioning. Surprisingly, he did not recommend annual cleaning, stating I'd need to have it done again in about five years.

The airflow was 6 mph when they started and after they started it was about 23 mph. The service was good.

He said that it didn't need to be cleaned and showed me exactly what to look for to tell if/when I need a cleaning. I was very impressed with how honest he was with me. He certainly could have taken advantage of me, but he didn't. He did fix our vent to make it better and had to putty it.

I appreciated how the technician was professional, clean, made sure he didn't get any dirt in my home, and focused on educating me on preventing a dryer fire. He even showed me how the huge amount of built-up lint in the dryer showed signs of being burnt/singed, a critical warning that a dryer could have happened at any time. This service likely prevented a fire in my home! The price seemed a little steep, even after discounting a $10 Angies List discount, but the quality does appear very good. Excellent company.

Everything went great! We called late in the afternoon and got an appointment for today. They arrived within the time frame they said. The repairman, Joseph, was neat and pleasant. He explained our unique problem and cleared up our vent. We were in a hazardous situation and he helped us out. We really appreciate this wonderful service. We confidently recommend them.

Overall, they did a good job. They were responsive, functional, and professional. The reason that I will not use them again and can not recommend them is their high price. They charged over $300 for cleaning my vents! I Googled other services and other vendors started overed vent cleaning as low at $75. Even if you look at the pricing on Angie's list, their pricing ranged fro $69 to $300. If their pricing was more competitive and reasonable I would have given them an A for their service. Unfortunately, their high prices just doesn't warrant it and left a bad taste for the experience. It also made me very mad when I saw the wide range of prices the charged for other customers and when I complained they deducted a mere $19. What this experience has taught me is not to blindly go with Angie's list recommendation. Call around and get quotes from other vendors before having any work done. Also do a Google check; Angie's list is not the end all.
